Every time we eat here they have new juices, recommend trying each one! They're all very good.

Have to say 10/10!! The pace is a bit of a while in the wall but don't let looks fool you !!real Mexican food Customer service was amazing they make you feel at home less of a restaurant. Hospitality amazing Chips and salsa so good . I ordered the mole and hubby ordered the torta loca .. mole was fresh and delicious rice was so home made it has a bit of spicy on it as mole should be 10/10!! The torta as really good too the meat here is so flavorful and well cooked not dry super good ..the bread was perfectly toasted. Will definitely be coming back ..

The customer service won me over! The lady working the cashier was so sweet and hardworking. I got a beef birria torta and it was soooo good. I requested really spicy sauce and they delivered. We ordered to-go, but I feel like eating there would be a fun experience. It's a little smaller, but still comfortable. The ambiance is bright with lots of decor on the wall. Parking's not bad and it's right by the 5 and 55 freeways!

    Carne Asada Torta

I decided to come here for lunch and I'm so glad I did. The moment I walked in, the owner greeted me with a papaya juice and a warm smile. I took his recommendation on the carne asada torta and I waited for my order. As I was waiting, he brought out some tortilla soup for me to try. This is one of those family owned restaurants that we have to keep close to our hearts because they truly are the core of the oc community. The food was great. The Torta was huge! And it came with grapes. The tortilla soup was flavorful and rich. The papaya juice was light and refreshing. I can't say better things about this place - it's a gem.

The owner very courteous gentleman... right away offered us watermelon water... which very refreshing my teenage daughters enjoyed but had to have my Coca Cola imported from Mexico...with plate of salsa and refried pinto beans accompanied with tostada chips very tasty while we waited for our food in very nice small restaurant spot. My Carne Asada Torta very well plated with radishes and baby onions with a grilled jalapeño (sweet flavor not spicy) seasoned with lemon and salt. My Girls had Carne Asada Tacos with handmade tortillas and my Husband gobble up the Milanesa Torta that he ended up saying we would definitely come back when In the area (we driving down from valley on way to soccer game in Oceanside and needed to fuel up before girls game). Overall great dining experience wish him and his family the best.

Amazing food. Tastes just like it came from our grandparents kitchen. Best chilaquiles I've ever tried. Horchata was absolutely delicious. Tastes just like a dessert. Quick service. When we're in the area, we will definitely be back. Thank you Raul for taking great care of our family!

Al Pastor Tacos - excellent pastor!

La Torta was pretty solid but really a 4.5, rounded up to a 5 mainly for extras (I'll explain). We had a quesadilla for the kid, Al pastor tacos, asada torta, asada nachos, and asada wet burrito. The asada items really were probably more 3-4 star but the al pastor tacos were excellent, easy 5 star. I definitely recommend getting the al pastor when there. The tortillas were hand made and the al pastor meat had a rich and robust flavor that was some of the best I've had in town. The owner gave us a free papaya fruit water, which was refreshing and tasty, and he gave me a bag of pickled habaneros and onions, which was out of this world and something I've not ever gotten at a Mexican restaurant before.. I loaded up my tacos with the mix and they were really some of the best tacos I can remember having for quite a long time, including just coming from phoenix.. loved it! I probably won't order the asada when I go back (not that it was bad but not excellent like the pastor) but I definitely will be back for that pastor!! Oh and ambiance was a bit tight so it's really more a place to get food to go but could seat a few folks.

As soon as we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly and offered refreshing guava juice--it felt like we were family from the start. He recommended his signature torta Cubana, and we couldn't resist trusting his suggestion. It did not disappoint. You could taste the love and care his family put into every bite. This is clearly a family-run business, and it shows in the atmosphere and the food. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to come out and support this gem of a place. We'll definitely be back, next time with even more friends to share this wonderful experience!

I ordered menudo today and it had no flavor, tasted plain. Also got chilaquiles verdes and they were ok, I was a bit disappointed tbh.

Thanks to Restaurant Week, we stumbled upon this gem, and we are so grateful. The hospitality alone would earn five stars. But then came the food. The tacos? Absolutely exceptional. The steak was tender and flavorful in a way that reminded me of eating throughout Mexico, you could actually taste the meat. A light, gentle pickle of vegetables on top, minimal cheese, nothing heavy or greasy. These are not the American-style tacos drowning in a pound of melted cheese. These are the real thing. The beans were lovely, the rice was solid, and my passion fruit winearita drink was genuinely a treat. Restaurant Week gave us the perfect low-pressure reason to try somewhere new, and we walked out with a new favorite. We'll be back for lunch. We'll be back for dinner. And yes, Taco Tuesday, we'll absolutely be back for that.

To make matters worse, one of our meals was completely forgotten. The service was extremely slow throughout the entire visit. Every time we needed something, whether it was a refill, an update, or assistance, the wait felt excessive. The restaurant may have potential because the food itself was flavorful, but it seemed like they were either understaffed or unprepared for the number of customers they had. Another disappointment was the drink selection. We were told they don't have a liquor license, so hard alcohol isn't available. Their sodas were canned, and when we asked for juice for the kids, they told us they were completely out. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant is on the smaller side and felt more like a converted house than a traditional restaurant, complete with a fireplace and television in the dining area. The food had good flavor, which is the only reason I'm giving more than one star. Unfortunately, the long wait times, missing meal, lack of drink options, and poor service made the overall experience disappointing.

It is next to a gas station. It looks like a pretty popular place during the lunch hour. It's a smaller place inside, but they do have an outdoor patio. We were able to find a small table, not too far from the front counter. Ordering at the front was easy. The staff was friendly and quick. We could see the cook grilling up the meats as we placed our order. There were at least five different salsas to choose from as well as cucumbers and a chili oil at the self-serve salsa bar. I noticed a customer in front of us ordered a kids plate which included two street tacos and rice and beans. That's what I ended up ordering with Carne Asada and chorizo. There were four or five proteins to choose from for the kids plate. I loved the grilled meats with the char flavor. It was delicious! Everything was well seasoned. I wish I would've ordered a third or maybe even a fourth taco because it was that good! I will definitely come back many times and it's going to be on our lunch rotation for sure.

The burrito was solid sized, I was definitely full after eating it. Great seasoned potato wedges inside, tasty egg, and plenty of bacon and sausage. Only thing with the bacon and sausage was that the bacon was actually bacon bits. I'm pretty sure they are pre bagged bacon bits, judging by the extreme salty taste...they overpowered the sausage inside so all I was really getting was bacon bits. There was supposed to be chipotle mayo inside as well, but I don't think mine had it. Or it was also overpowered by the bacon bits. Burrito was grilled on both sides and wrapped up nicely. By the time I got it, it was still super hot. The green and red salsas are also delicious.
