Bar seating for dinner. Super fun
George B.

First of all it was a Friday evening. The place was hopping. We sat at the bar and had a couple apps. Calamari and the zucchini sticks. Both were fantastic. Hot, crispy and battered well. The cocktails helped not burn our pie holes. I had the chicken parm which was perfect. Wife had the heart attack pizza. Meat lovers. Something loaded like that. The ambiance and our service sitting at the bar was super fun. Highly recommend. Excited it was SO good since I have been following on the gram.

Again, a staple in Salinas. The Italian food here is solid. Hearty shareable portions, good prices and great food. I ordered the chicken parm again, which was better than last time we were here a few years back. It came with two huge chicken fillets, spaghetti and garlic bread. Certainly shareable size. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food, and we were happy to find a table without a wait on a Friday night. Give them a try if you're in town

The food!! OMG!! When I tried the pizza immediately translated me to Italy!! I am so glad I found this place. I came for a second time with a lot of my friends that did not know this place existed and even tree days later they remembered what they eat and are thanking me for share this experience with them. This is something you have to try to experience lain!! Ha, ha, ha. Cute and cozy place. Warm enough to have small gathering with family and friends. The staff wonderful, both times I been there. This is now one of my favorite places to go. I hear the lasagna is good! . That is my next choice!

The pizza is delicious here! We also got a few appetizers that were also very good. They have happy hour until 6, even on the weekend! So we were able to try a few appetizers. Our waitress Liliana was the sweetest. She was so attentive and very friendly. Our hostess, whom I didn't get her name wasn't the friendliest. We were a party of 7 and the restaurant was not busy and she sat us in a small booth. Liliana was nice enough to move us to a bigger table.

I think that is the one drawback of this place. The restaurant itself is very nice inside. Well decorated with a nice bar. There is a very nice patio area but given weather it was not open. I'm sure it is when weather permits. For happy hour the apps are about 40% off specialty drink specials are $10 cocktails and I believe 5 draft and wine. I got the smoked old fashioned and it did not disappoint. Wife got the Chardonnay and was happy with it. We started with garlic bread and it was pretty good. We then went with the wings. These wings were so good we ordered a second plate as did our friends. Some of the best wings I've had in a long time. For mains we got the gnocchi and friends got the pizza. Everyone was very happy with there dishes. It was a solid meal. The gnocchi is I believe $11 for happy hour and pizza I think is $10. Great deal for what you get. All in all a really good meal in a nice restaurant. Only downside is parking.

It's been many years since my last visit, back when I was engaged, but I had been hoping to return this year. Some of my favorite memories are from this place. The wine was always wonderful, but what truly made it special were the people. Anna, her husband, and their son Steph were some of the kindest and most welcoming people you could meet. They made every visit feel personal and memorable, and their warmth was a big part of why so many people loved coming here. Thank you for the memories, the hospitality, and the great wine over the years. You will be missed.

He was patient and knew the menu, and offered options when he saw our reactions as we tried to decide. The chef even walked out and offered to make the bolognese from scratch and omit the mushrooms. From start to finish the whole Mangia team was great, and it made me happy to see how they treated one another. The dishwasher came up a few times to swap the trays and everyone got along, and I noticed the chef made them each something to eat as the restaurant was closing. As for the food, good Salinas option. The Nonna appetizer was a bruschetta with pistacho, fresh ricotta, and honey. Delicious. Beet salad was good, hearty beets, mixed greens, and balsamic. It was over dressed for my taste, but hubby loved it. I wasn't a huge fan the cheese they used, it was a harder salty cheese in small cubes. I got the penne with a really subtle lemon cream sauce, grilled chicken, and broccoli. Came out hot and it was a generous portion, waiter offered some fresh cheese so took that of course. I'd order it again, but don't think it was the best pasta dish I have ever had. Chicken Parmesan was cooked fresh, and came with the penne and marina. In my opinion the marina was under seasoned, but I'm generally heavy on the garlic and basil. I don't know I'd label it as a culinary hot spot, but the food was good, and made by good people. I appreciate the atmosphere and we will definitely be back.

The restaurant has a great drink selection and a great menu. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they offer a Tuesday dinner special that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for only $32! This menu also had a special drink selection. I ordered the house salad, prawn risotto, and chocolate lava cake. The salad was very fresh with spring mix and butter lettuce, which I especially enjoy, and it was topped with a light vinaigrette style house dressing that was light and delicious. The prawn risotto was creamy, flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The chocolate lava cake was rich and very chocolatey, a bit too rich for my personal taste, but still enjoyable. It also came with vanilla gelato, which was delicious. As a table, we also ordered the tableside tiramisu, which was such a fun and unique experience. I am a tiramisu connoisseur, so anytime I see it on the menu, I ordered it. It is my favorite dessert. Although this was not my favorite one, I very much enjoyed the experience. I will mention the espresso needs a little more time to fully soak into the ladyfingers, but the presentation and experience alone made it worth trying. The ambiance was lovely with nice background music, and the service was attentive and welcoming. Everyone in our party truly enjoyed their meal, especially the birthday girl. Overall, Patria is a fantastic dinner spot in Salinas, and I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

We ordered avocado toast, French toast, banana pecan pancake, house potatoes, and an Aperol spritzer. I added an over easy egg for an extra charge that was the perfect balance. The house salad was simple with butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, radish, cucumber, with a light lemon house dressing that brought the salad together. It was refreshing. The French toast is pretty standard. Nothing that particularly stood out. The banana pecan pancake was delicious and shared with everyone at the table.
