Service was horrible! I get that its a busy Saturday afternoon but the waiter avoided us like the plague. He didn't even stop to say he will be with us in a few or anything. We waited 20 minutes before a waiter from another section came and offered to take our order. Im mexican but the food is not!! The food is horrible! The salsa is tomato sauce and there is no spice to it. My food was cold as well. You can tell food is taken from the fridge/freezer and just heated. Mulitas are tostadas, Mexican mulitas are made from masa not a tostada, SMH! Avoid this place like the waiter avoided us, like the plague!!! read more

Went for drinks with my wife. Asked if we could sit outside even though we were only having drinks. We were assured it was fine. Ordered a couple of margaritas which were great and were brought chips and salsa (no complaints there). 15 minutes later, the waiter came to our table and asked if we would like another round. We were clearly only halfway through our first drinks (they were in large goblets) so we told him "not just yet". 5 minutes later the black bill holder was dropped in front of me which I ignored because we were planning on having another drink. 5 minutes after that, the waiter came to the table looked at the bill holder and asked "is this all set?" That was the last straw. I quickly handed him my credit card as it seemed that he was in a rush for us to leave and I was fed up with the unnecessary interruptions . There was no reason for such treatment as there were plenty of empty tables both outside and inside the restaurant. It was not even close to being crowded! He brought the bill fold back and I signed the bill. 3 minutes later a waitress comes to our table and asks if the bill was all set (like they couldn't wait to see how much of a tip I left). I have never felt so unwelcome and rushed at a restaurant in my entire life. As I said, the restaurant was empty. They lost a customer that was going to spend another $25.00 on drinks. Casa Tequila will not be in business very long with this kind of service. We're certainly not going back. Hungry Wolf is right down the block and I know they don't treat their customers this way. read more

I used to live in Guanajuato MX, and was in CDMX last month and nothing like this is served anywhere there. It's a small step up from Taco Bell. Nothing against Yeferson, he was awesome. However, the management was horrible. We waited an hour for our food, after that hour...our food came out cold. The food here is very poor quality Mexican food. The cheese in the enchiladas tasted like Kraft Singles. The salsa was overly runny and not very flavorful. So happy that this place is open! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We ordered margaritas to start which were giant, strong, and delicious. Chips and restaurant salsa were also excellent. For dinner we shared "enchiladas Mexicanas" and chicken + steak fajitas. Both were super tasty. Highly recommend requesting a side of their tomatillo hot sauce regardless of what you order. For dessert we had flan which was the perfect ending. Our server was friendly, funny, and fast. A manager (I think?) also checked in with us before we left to see how our experience was. And to address the other commenter, in our opinion prices were reasonable for fresh, homemade food. Can't wait to come back when the patio is open. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

My husband and I have been here 4-5 times and must say the food is excellent. (The only reason for 3 stars). The problem we have is service. We went today at approximately 6:15pm. Walked in, there are 2 female staff members sitting in booths chatting. One of them got up immediately and seated us upstairs. There was only 1 other table with customers and they left about 10 minutes after we arrived. When the waiter came to the table, we ordered our drinks and food together (we are familiar with their menu). I ordered the burrito/taco combo and my husband ordered the Chile Verde....pork with green mild sauce, rice and beans and SERVED WITH 2 FLOUR TORTILLAS, that he NEVER received!!!!!! Once our food and drinks were dropped off, we didn't see another staff member...no one!!!!! We were alone upstairs as far as we could tell until after our food was eaten and our drinks had been empty for most of our meal. We considered going behind the bar and refilling them ourselves. Finally, after a few minutes of us considering if we should go downstairs to get our check, our waiter reappeared. My husband explained that he never got his tortillas, and he didn't seem to understand what we were saying. He asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, and we said no...please bring the check. When we went downstairs to leave, there were at least 4 staff members sitting in booths near the entrance, chatting and on phones. The service here is awful, and getting worse!!!!! You would think with only 1 table, the service would be outstanding, instead it was nonexistent!!!!!!! read more

I will gladly second the Murphy's is gone! I got margs and small sampling of several menus items and they were fantastic. The margaritas are perfectly blended so they will sneak up on you! The decor is amazing. The tile alone should get you in for a look. The bar is covered in hand painted tile. You feel like you've been transported to Mexico. It's worth a look. Came here on a Friday night and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Enchilada supremo was delicious and the churros are warm and yummy. Service was great and our waitress Sandra I believe was awesome (very pretty to) They have a great selection of Margaritas.
