Just delicious!!! We were on our way up to Bryson City but with a big storm coming thru and it being lunch time we decided to stop, and with the good reviews it was a no brainer. And can I just say?? YUM!!! All three of us loved our meals. The chips and salsa were so good that we asked for an extra pint to take with us. My friends ordered the chicken fajitas and the portions were huge and the chicken so good! I ordered a chicken taco salad and the chicken was cooked perfectly and great quality. Saw another review saying this was the best Mexican restaurant in Franklin; can't say if it's the best in town BUT I can say it is WONDERFUL. We came in pretty late (8:33 when they close at 9), and they were still happy to seat us and let us take our time to order. Clean and cheerful inside, with upbeat Spanish music all the while. Plenty of booths, with those nice tall dividers to give you more privacy! Plenty of salsa and chips to start, always wonderful when you're half-starved! I got the Pollo Mi Tierra, and my husband ordered the Monster Chimichanga. My chicken was smothered in veggies and a delectable creamy sauce, and the meat was cooked to perfection. Food was very good, in terms of Mexican it might just be the best one in Franklin. I loved the salsa bar and the the menu selections. Our server was very sweet and very helpful. The restaurant was very quiet but probably won't be for too long once the word gets out. The serving sizes were very nice for the price too, you get what you pay for! Will we be back? Most Mexican restaurants in NC are bad. Many REALLY BAD. So it was a great surprise to find one that was good! This is in the same building of countless other Mexican restaurants. They have several lunch specuals Mon to Fri starting at $7.49. The Chili relleno here was wonemderful and have not had one that good in at least 15 years and Im always looking! read more

Food is outstanding! Street tacos are my thing, and they are authentic! One reason why we keep coming back is their complimentary SALSA BAR! No other restaurant in town has one! Other restaurants charge $5 for habenero sauce/salsa which honestly too expensive. Their prices are competitive! Service is for the most part good, but I have had bad service a handful of times. The food was ok but not worth the price. Didn't like the vibe. The waitresses act snobby unless youre a man. Also they charge $3 for a bbq dipping sauce even if you get the chicken fingers. Charged me almost $5 for a soft drink that they wrung up as horchata. A total rip off. Will never go back again. been going here for a while now. only had bad food once becuase it was burnt (they were very slow) but just went tonight and the food was good but the service is terrible! you get sat then waitess comes to get drinks and food and doesnt return! you have to hunt the server down to get anything extra ie. drink napkins box check ... only good server they have is andrea ho was here tonight but they need to train servers to go back and check on your table!! read more
