Casa Vieja is wonderful! Swung in here for their lunch special on Taco Tuesday, which consisted of their three tacos (I had chicken) and, of course, complimentary chips and salsa at the table. We placed an order to go and they lost it. Took them 30 min to remake the order and they messed up every single item. Not apologetic. If you want good service or good food this is definitely not the place. I asked the manager how to handle this and he said please put in a bad review for the restaurant. The Mexican food at Casa Vieja is the best we've found in Medford. Always fresh, fast and substantial portions. Great atmosphere inside. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Their pozole is delicious. The pork was so tender and the flavors were bright. It was fairly mild but it came with a side of delicious chili oil so you could make it super spicy (which I recommend). I'm always looking for good pozole so I'll definitely be coming back for that. read more

Our server was not 21, so she wasn't able to give us recommendations for Margaritas. I would just, say that she should brought the bartender out to answer our questions. There were only two groups in the restaurant, so the bartender would have had time. The server was very pleasant . The food was fresh and delicious. Casa Vieja is a new restaurant in Medford. I have been there a few times with family and friends and I have always enjoyed their meals. There is a wide variety of choices on their menu, reasonably priced. I particularly loved their Enchiladas Vallartas, jammed packed with fish! The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is courteous. I ordered the chile verdi and I now feel very sick. I make chile verdi at home all the time, so I know that there was something wrong with it. It was on special for 18.50. When they served it to me it was only the green sauce with a few small scraps of pork, not pork shoulder chunks, but little scraps, like it was from the bottom of the pot or reclaimed from someone else's leftovers. It was bad. I normally wouldn't say anything, but it was awful, so I asked for a little more meat. They came back with another small spoonful, so I thought I'd live with it. They then charged me $24 instead of $18 and I have been nauseous ever since. I'm tempted to go back and barf in the restaurant in front of anyone there. Awful read more

Try the grilled fish tacos, the salads are great, hearty and filling. Albondigas soup spot on, it's my go to after a hard days work.
