Wonderful experience. The staff are friendly & very accommodating. The decor is a fun, eclectic mix & the ethnic music is not overpoweringly loud. You enter & are properly greeted with a welcoming smile & pleasantries, seated & then swiftly graced with warm, crispy tortilla chips with warm frijole dip & salsa. All of it delicious & with refills !!! We were doubly pleased they serve Corona NA.! My partner ordered the seafood chimichanga & I ordered the chicken asada. It arrived in perfect time & looked most appealing. The tastes for both of our different menu selections were delicious. My favorite aspect was the fact that the dishes were not overpowered with salt or grease that is often the case in many Mexican restaurants. The flavors were balanced & the meat tender...... nothing was burnt passing for " caramelized " food. As a foodie & excellent cook myself , I was very happy with this meal. Deliciousness, ambiance, & awesome senor servers with a singing cooking staff!! If your chefs are happy, that stands for a lot!!! Right?! I ordered the Molcajete and it was amazing. Sausage, bacon wrapped shrimp, cheese, jalapeño, chicken, grilled cactus and steak wrapped around a dish with the most amazing delicious sauce inside. I have no idea what was inside but it paired well with everything. I couldn't stop eating it!! The margaritas were tasty, the service was friendly. Everyone else enjoyed there well. My wife and I were visiting Medford and tried Luna. The place was amazing. The interior is definitely more upscale and authentic Mexican (my wife has dual citizenship US and Mexican). The restaurant itself was beautiful, clean, and inviting. I love the color scheme, decor, and finishes. I was a bit disappointed in the Chile Verde... it was basic and I've definitely had better. When we were done and ready to leave, we waited and waited, then eventually stood at the front counter for the check and to pay. During that time, we were told that their computers were down and we could not pay with a card. Luckily, I had cash at that time. I would possibly dine here again, but it hasn't been memorable at any time in the past, and there's a lot of other great options in town. read more

I ordered delivery several times from this restaurant. Last night was the last straw. I ordered one of their more expensive dishes Aroz con Pollo. It was a half portion. Passing through the area and we were in search of something new to try. We have certain criteria due to the somewhat picky nature of our kiddo. We looked at the usual suspects and searched some menus. We found this spot that was just down the street from where we were staying for the night. It looked like it checked all the boxes. Had a kids menu with items my child would most likely eat. It also looked to have a nice selection for my wife and I. We were all starting to get quite hungry so we decided to take a shot. Upon first entering the establishment we were greeted warmly and sat quickly. The decor reads more of an upscale place but be assured that is a nice casual environment. Our server came over and took our drink orders promptly. There was also complimentary chips and dip. The chips were warm and crisp, the salsa had a nice fire roasted flavor and the beans were warm and not too hot. After looking over the menu, we all made our decisions. Our kid went with her usual pick at a Mexican food restaurant...chicken nuggets and fries. My wife decided to go with a cheese enchilada and beef taco combo and I myself went with the enchilada and chile relleno combo. Let me tell you right now, when that food hit the table it was devoured immediately. The flavors were amazing, the proteins were cooked perfectly. Soft, yet with a nice toothsome texture. My wife who rarely ever eats the side of beans even ate some of those and said how good it was. Our kid(regardless of her being hungry) said her nuggets were the best she has ever had. If you knew her then you'd know what high praise that is. My food was just as tasty, I even got our kid to try a bite or two of the chile relleno! The service here was really the thing that stood out the most. It was so kind and warm and quick. Everyone including the bus boy was extremely kind and respectful. I highly recommend this place. Prices and food are great. But the service takes it over the top. Definitely try it out! read more

You can tell the family who owns LUNA takes pride in serving their customers delicious, fresh food in a beautiful setting. Lunch specials made it easy to decide for first timers. Salsa and Chili Relleno passed my test. Flan is my other go-to, but I was too full for dessert. Will definitely be back. read more

THE PLACE is well decorated and gives that Mexican vibe with music in the background to add that Mexico vibe. THE ISSUE with the restaurant is the flies everywhere, not sure if they have been attempting to control the problem but they do need to try other methods because it makes you feel grossed out. THE STAFF is okay not too bad but not the greatest either! Some servers will forget things you ordered and kitchen makes mistakes as if there some sort of disconnect between the server and the cooks. THE FOOD is very well prepared and delicious too but it takes some time before it gets served so be prepared to wait. PRICE RANGE it depends as some dishes are a little more expensive than others. Switch and bait! So I take back the 5 star review . So a few days later we found our dinner receipt and I realized that we were charged $22.95 for an entree 'fajita salad ' when I ordered the $15.69 deluxe taco salad. So we decided to go back and show them the receipt and ask for a refund on the difference. I posted the picture here for you all to see. Two nights ago the female manager and some random server (it wasn't even his business but...) literally argued with me saying " well the ticket went thru the kitchen and thats what you got so you are required to pay for it ". I said "it's not my mistake that the kitchen cooked an entree for me that we didn't order". I ordered the deluxe taco salad and it says $15.95 so why does.it say "fajita taco salad " on the receipt?!? They said well if you got steak then it is the same price as fajita taco salad and you ate it (Offensive and insulting!!!) I pointed to the deluxe taco salad on the menu that is $15.95 and said "look it says it comes with a choice of meat?". And I was never informed that it was an $8 upcharge for steak when it says that the deluxe taco salad comes with meat?!? I was never informed of the upcharge??? She told me to come back in two days to talk to our original server so we did and guess what more arguing and no accountability for the switch and bait ! That's 2 trips of my time and has to debate over their unprofessionalism to get my $7 due which was never resolved. Yes I should've been informed of the fact that the $16 entree was going to have an $8 upcharge and the receipt should clearly reflect an $8 steak upcharge on the receipt (not some other entree I didn't order) after CONSENT. We actually tipped our server more than 20% so it hurts. This is like the time we went to El molcajete in GP for our anniversary and after ordering two margaritas with a few adjustments we were surprised that we were charged $22 each for margheritaa (when they were supposed to be $14!) with zero communication. How ridiculous we won't be back there either. No accountability and very dishonest and unprofessional business stay away from Luna. My husband and I wanted to try this restaurant out we went for an early Mother's Day dinner last Saturday. I ordered the pork burrito combo and first thing I thought was that something didn't look right. My pork was green and chunks trust me this old lady has eaten lots of pork in her years. Pork does not look like this well that should have been my first clue long story short I ended up with food poisoning and in the hospital for four days. Small, nice, clean, well-lit, either small-chain or family-owned (or both) feel Mexican food in a fairly largely large shopping center just off I-5 in Medford. I came here because I was staying at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn and wanted to grab something better than available at the hotel (which had a bar and seemed to be serving some sort of dinner, not sure) but without much of a drive. Luna's delivered on the promise. The food was good. The clientele seemed almost exclusively discerning locals as opposed to hapless I5 travelers. It's slightly offbeat location (it's incrementally harder to get to than many options just off I5) probably helps seal that deal. The margarita was silly large and not particularly good (I should have ordered with a bit more care) but the food was very good, from the chips and two dips (salsa, bean) to the combination special (enchilada plus chile relleno). Service was prompt, efficient, and friendly. This was not the blow-your-socks-off I5 Oregon surprise of A Taste of India in Roseburg, but it's plenty good, I'd stop here again anytime, and far superior to the chains that line I5. read more

I had chicken diablo and it was one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had. Pleasingly spicy--just on the verge of being too spicy but it wasn't. Very flavorful sauce. Came with tortillas and whole beans (I asked) and I couldn't finish it. Husband had enchilada verde which he enjoyed, but it was more like most Mexican restaurants--not outstanding,. Finally, after being bookmarked for DAYZZZ, we got around to trying Luna! Walked in to what used to be a Togo's sandwich shop but you could never tell now! They've got a really cool atmosphere/decor and did a killer job with the overall ambiance. Our server was prompt, helpful, and attentive. As with most Mexican restaurants, the menu is quite extensive with plenty to look over... it didn't help that we were newbies here and had to check out Yelp pics and get some ideas. Our server was super patient with us and gave us plenty of time. We decided on: Ceviche- delicious, fresh and a HUGE portion! (We will be getting this every time from now on) Chimichanga with Picadillo- this massive, meaty, and filling deep fried burrito (basically) was more than enough to fill me up with some to take home too. We wanted a nice dinner with an adult beverage after a day on the road. I was attracted to Luna's restaurant because of the glowing reviews on both their food and service. Add in classy decor and you can't go wrong! We sat outside as the weather was so pleasant. Hubby had enchilada and relleno and I the carnitas tacos. Portions generous and beautifully presented. Super chips. Margaritas are oversized. Waitstaff perfect.
