I have tried so hard to like this because it is close to where I work. It used to be good, but the quality is absolute crap now. I recently got a full set of gel nails ($67 + tip). The tech rushed through the job -- I had to ask her to clip around my cuticles (standard practice for even a manicure). She filed my nails quite literally sideways. They look like a strong gust of wind hit them and they're like slanted sideways. It's an awful look. She also didn't press down on the nails so the tips of the nails are tilting or curling backwards. FWIW, I did ask her to fix what I noticed when I was in the chair, but some of the things I realized when I walked out. My impression is that the salon expanded and the quality of their services have dropped. read more

We had a group of 5 people getting nails done and I appreciate the nail salon accommodating us even with few people from the party running late. Nah, dawg. My last pedicure was not okay. The staff members who did them was very kind and considerate but he was young, he cut corners and while I didn't have the energy to micromanage my pedicure, there are just so many issues. I will not be back. My regular manicure didn't last four days. That's fine, though. I'll eat that. Pedicure is unevenly painted. They're peach colored so a white base was probably needed or thicker coats. Now, they're patchy. His buffing was bad, too. And he did that thing where they try to create a nail shape for you instead of painting the whole nail and I asked him not to and he didn't for two nails then did the rest. Ugh. Donny is great! For some reason, I didn't have him although I requested it through the app. Another person did my pedicure and took far too long. After nearly 75 minutes, we moved to manicure and once he cut one of my fingers to the point of bleeding, I was done. The vibes here were soothing and relaxing. I instantly felt at ease. Service done exactly as I had hoped- Great! Emily was so sweet. Before we got started, I mentioned that I have a cut on my pinky and it was still pretty fresh. She was very minfdul of this. I felt almost no pain throughout the process! I also had a bad coughing fit mid-manicure and was trying to not spread germs everywhere (lol) and Emily was kind enough to stop what she was doing and open up a water bottle for me. She definitely cares about her clients that's for sure! My nails turned out great exactly as I wanted them! I hate having long nails so a simple gel manicure was perfect. Went with my daughter. We both had great pedicures! My daughter got a full set of acrylics and they looked amazing. I had a regular manicure and was super happy with it. The salon is clean, the pedicure chairs are comfy. Most of all, the staff is soooo nice! They give you a little bottle of water and a little bag of snacks when you sit down. I really wanted to like this nail salon and they did a good job on my mani-pedi. The 1-star is based on them treating customers differently; They have a notice of advance payment stuck to the table. Midway through doing my nails, they asked me to pay. However, I noticed EVERYONE ELSE paid AFTER their nails were done. I asked the woman the purpose of the notice--she couldn't answer. Duly noted. I also noticed they told walk-ins they couldn't schedule them today, however when a tall blonde came in who clearly was not a regular, they magically not only agreed to do her mani and pedi, they took her right away--this after they'd turned away 4 other walk-ins, I guess who didn't have the "right" look. I don't tolerate biased people. That said, do you but I won't be back. In response to Nathan: Respectfully, I'm glad you didn't deny what happened and acknowledged that you treated customers differently. That said, treating customers differently is unacceptable. I've been a sales representative for over 20 years and in business perception is the reality. Sadly, you and your staff will continue to make the same mistakes over and over again i.e. treating customers differently if you are unable to accept helpful feedback. 1. Your explanation doesn't explain why I was the ONLY customer asked to pay mid-way. Everyone else paid AFTER getting their nails done and left the shop. I was NOT offered that privilege. Your technician told me to pay without providing any explanation and when asked, was unable to explain why the posted policy only applied to ME. 2. I was sitting at the table near the door. I saw and heard exactly what happened. The conversations with the walk-ins were in English. The walk-ins who were turned away requested services similar to the blonde woman whom you accommodated IMMEDIATELY after turning away 4 walk-ins which included a man. In fact, 3 technicians rushed up to help the blonde woman, when she only needed 1 technician at the time. If your technicians are not skilled enough to give a MAN a manicure and or a pedicure, they need re-training--you are welcome to apply the $13 tip I gave to the woman who did my nails (basic mani-pedi) towards re-training. Had a spa pedicure by Emily this morning. It was one of the best pedicures I've ever had! She was gentle yet effective; her massage pressure and attention to detail while painting was spot on. Billy is a truly gifted in his craft. He saved the day by fixing my nails I had done a few days prior at another salon. From Booking online to checkout everything was perfect. I was tempted to include a before picture of my nails, but I didn't want to risk anyone scrolling thinking my botched job was done at Casabella. I had originally had an appt with another Tech, but she quickly referred me to Billy and he took over immediately. I love this salon! I am never one to leave reviews, but after today, I could not hold back any longer. I have been coming to this salon since last August, shortly after their grand opening in Old Towne. I was looking for a salon that would take care of my nails, and not just fulfill a service for money and tips. GOOD QUALITY. I found that here at Casabella. I had first come in for an SNS set and the owner asked "What are your nail goals?" I told him I want long and strong nails of my own that I don't have to keep adding extensions, just to weaken my nails over and over. That's when I was introduced to Gel X. I've been ecstatic ever since! I usually only go to Claire for service, as I always get designs on my nails, however, everyone is pleasant, kind, and professional. Their desire is truly the customer's happiness. I have referred ten of my friends and coworkers, and all have now become regulars at Casabella, with more to come. The salon is always clean and quiet, you are greeted immediately and they even provide snacks and water. I always feel like a princess going in and walking out. The price I paid for the nails in this photo is an absolute robbery, but it shows that they are not in it for the money, but for the well-being of the client. They gave me a staph infection because they don't use clean tools when doing your nails. They reuse tools which gave me a horrific infection & now I can't feel my finger. Vibe was mediocre I thought it'd be better but everyone beware or you'll get an infection like me. The photo doesn't even show how purple my finger is & how swollen.
