This was my first time coming here. I asked the price of a pedicure when walking in and the lady said $39, but charged me $40. This was the least of my concerns. The lady used the equipment she uses on my feet to pluck hair out of the jet where your feet go. I asked her to switch gloves and get new equipment she only got new equipment I asked her to switch gloves again before proceeding to start working on my feet and she turned to the lady next to her and started talking and I couldn't understand. I asked her not to cut my nails that short because they were already short and I want more of a massage. One of my nails, she cut way too short and it's now in pain. I already keep my nails very short. For some reason I still tipped after this because I felt obligated to... the establishment itself looked nice and clean. My biggest issue with my visit was that my nail tech did not listen to my friend and I. We requested two manicures, one gel and one powder. They informed me they didn't have my color choice in powder. I told them to do gel instead. They flat out ignored me or pretended they didn't understand me. Once she started doing powder, I just let her because I didn't want to make her restart. She honestly did it so fast, like she didn't want me to try and stop her. My friend was next. They didn't have her color in gel, but instead of telling her, they just put A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COLOR. My friend and I did not want to make a scene. We just paid and left. I had high hopes for this nail salon but was let down tremendously. The tech rushed through my service and did such a piss poor job. Look at the photos. This was my first time at Divine Nail Spa because I only just moved to the area, but I will probably be back! I asked for this fairly technical nail art design and am fairly pleased with the result. It's certainly not perfect and doesn't look exactly like the picture I gave them, but I honestly wasn't expecting much. Next time I'll probably just get regular dip powder without designs because I don't think they're necessarily trained to do difficult nail art, but I'm overall pleased with my experience! UPDATE: I just went back to get my dip nails re-done because they were quite grown out. They approached me and told me they would credit me back for last time's nail art without being prompted, which they did NOT have to do at all! This just shows me that they truly care about their customers having the best experience and result possible! This time I just got regular dip powder because I think it suits me better, and they are absolutely PERFECT! I am obsessed with the color, and they look so incredibly clean and perfect. She also made sure the dip powder wasn't too thick on my nail because that's something I've had issue with at other salons. I also had some particular requests on my dip nails, specifically that I didn't want the gel top coat, I wanted the dip top coat. BOTTM LINE: Appointments are meaningless and the very pooer service quality. Knowing my desired time was on a Sunday, my friend and I made sure to make an appointment online and selected a preffered nail tech. However, when we showed on time, we were treated as if we were walk-ins. With no designated receptionist, the salon lacked attention to customers and no one seemed to care about respoding to patrons. After having to wait for 30 minutes with no words from the staff, we were finally seated. But, both of our nail techs were only concered with getting mani/pedicure done with absolutely NO ATTENTION TO DETAILS. Even with making cuts and bleeding, my tech did not seem to mind at all with no apologies. The outcome was horrible. After paying for the service, I asked another staff if anyone could take a look at my nails and do some fixing (the edge of my nail was so uneven...). She told me to wait for "a few minutes" and will take care of me. Well, that a few munites never came in a crowede salon, and I decided to leave. It was our first visit to this salon, based on positve Yelp reviews, but we are not returning to this store and strongly discourage others from going here during busy hours or weekends. update with picture: i came to get my eyebrows waxed. including the tip it was $18, which is the most i've ever paid for eyebrows. this picture is almost an entire week after my visit. the person who did my brows took off a considerable chunk of my eyelid skin. it has healed a lot but is still very noticeable to the point i've had several people point it out, concerned with what happened to me. i cannot recommend this place at all. on top of this, my skin broke out where the wax had been and i was really unhappy with the shape my eyebrows were. these things i can excuse, going to a new salon and all, but the wound is unacceptable. read more

The tech kept filing the side of my nails until she basically removed any skin/nail left. It was the most painful and horrible nail experience I've ever had. When I first started going here, I may not have gotten the same manicurist each time, but at least no one tried to hurt me. The last time I went, I was burned - literally. The manicurist took that Dremel tool and ground my nails until she burned the skin under the nails. My cuticles were bleeding. I had scabs all over my hands for days. Summary - if you're wondering, RUN. My mother and I visited this place for the first time, 3 days ago. Since we've been getting our nails done for years, we know what to generally expect, even at a new salon. We called beforehand and were told that we could walk in. After walking in, before discussing our services, they asked us to pick nail polish. 15 minutes in, I was taken in to start my polish change service ($30) while my mom waited to be taken in for hers. When I got up to wash my hands, I was shocked to find my mother was still waiting in the waiting area. By the time I got done with my terrible polish change (more on that below), my mom had started her acrylic nail refill with gel polish. ($45) This place was TERRIBLE. I am worried that this place is employing unlicensed and u trained professionals. I got a standard gel polish change (not a manicure). The price was $30. The lady doing my nails was okay - she wasn't unkind or rude by any means - but she was EXTREMELY unprofessional. A piece of hair was stuck in one of my nails, as she kept adding thick layers of nail polish. I told her to take the hair out, and she was like - "it's fine, I'll just do three coats". After I told her it would bother my later, she laughed and asked me to put my hand in the UV light. After I insisted, she finally wiped it off and redid it. I also want to call out that I have NEVER seen a professional apply nail polish so poorly. She did not push my cuticles in and she applied it extremely unevenly. After many iterations of wiping and re-applying I finally settled for a hand of nail polish that looked worse than when I apply it myself. After she finished applying and setting with the lamp, SHE DID NOT SET IT WITH ALCOHOL! I don't think this woman was a trained/has gone to beautify school because gel polish 101 (literally google it!) will tell you that it needs to be set with alcohol!!!!! She literally put cuticle oil. My nails had chipped within 2 days. Moving on to my mother. The woman that worked on my mother was the absolute WORST. She was a bully who yelled at my mother and worked more aggressively on her if my mom asked a question or expressed any concern. She got nail glue stuck to my mom's skin (underside of her hand) and when my mom asked if she could clean that, the woman screaming "I didn't touch your hand" "Why you say that" over and over. This startled and scared my mom (who is a non-native English speaker). The woman then continued to berate my mom about how terrible her current nail set is, and how she should be "happy" that the nail tech isn't making her apply a full set. 2 of my mom's nails in her nail set had a visibly thinner gel filling than the remaining nails (like you could see a level difference between the acrylic nail and the filling). I voiced this and said it looked unnatural and the woman started screaming again. This time, summoning the entire shop - telling us that we don't know anything, be happy you don't need a full set". I'm not sure, but it look like she was straight up having a tantrum (maybe because it was nearing their closing time?). This woman also did not set my mother's gel polish with alcohol. Her acrylics are chipping within a week. This place is severely mismanaged and staffed with untrained individuals. I'm worried that this place is employing random people, and is not following basic sanitary measures. Avoid this place at all costs; I know I'd rather have burnt the money I spent here. read more
