This may not be the best nail salon ever, but it is the only one I go to. It's inexpensive and the work is of consistent quality. I think most of the people who come here have been coming here for several years and most of the staff has been working here for several years. I enjoy that the staff tends to be a bit older and mature and stick to business rather than small talk. Although they did have one younger lady who really chatted people up, I didn't mind going to her because she was super attentive and supportive giving therapy vibes - she no longer works there. For a long time prior to the pandemic, I'd get my hand and nails done (both just polish changes) for $20 Including tip! The prices have definitely gone up but my loyalty remains and the prices are still very competitive in comparison to other places in the area. I suggest calling ahead because they do have a lot of bi-weekly customers and they can't always accommodate walk-ins. read more

Tried them 2 days ago and it good, not really bad, and they also nice while doing my nails, the lady did my nails asked me carefully what designs I wanted and as the picture yeah she really did that 95% like what I need. This review is for an unnamed worker at the salon, not for the salon itself. I was a recent walk in for SNS nails. A manicurist seated me and started working on my nails. I noticed that she put about five coats of SNS on one hand. We she finished the right hand was clearly thicker and a different color than the other, so she had to redo it. This took an hour and a half. I did not get her name since I did not like her work, but noted that she was answering the phone. After 4 days one of the nails chipped so I called to have it redone by the same person. I recognized her voice as the same person who did my nails originally. She said to come at 10:30A and I agreed, then she called back and said to come at 10:45A, which I did. When I came at 10:45A she wasn't there and never showed up for the whole time that I was there. Another person wound up taking the time to redo the nail. The work was simply not that good and wasn't handled well. I don't plan to return. read more

Got my nails done a couple days ago and was very unhappy so I asked if they can re-do it. I scheduled an appointment for 1:00 pm and noticed it was extremely crowded upon arrival. I was sat in a chair and waited for 20 minutes without anyone saying anything further. I only come here when I'm on a budget... Shellac mani and pedi $45.00. Typically my manicure doesn't last 2 weeks here so when I want to spend a little extra for quality I will go some where else. You get what you pay for. Soooooo after servicing me come to find out: They changed their pricing & didn't inform me until after my service was complete! I was a bit irritated when the tech brought me my receipt that read $55.00 for What usually cost me $45 here. For $60 I could've traveled to sunshine or ivy nails !!! Better quality of nails and they actually last longer. Shellac/gel nails should last at least 2 weeks before they start chipping... I won't be coming here anymore... read more

I checked this place based on Yelp review. This place does not seem to be attractive by looking from outside. The massage chair for panicure looks new. It is clean inside. They spend a lot of time to clean the foot and put panicure on. Besides it is very cheap. The only thing I want them to improve is to have more the latest OPI. The tech's are personal, loving, & they always make you feel welcomed every time you come in, weather or not you are their client. I adore Jenny, she is my fave by far! She is keen to detail and very compassionate. Skilled to say the lease. Made an appointment, they took me right away. Young man was nice and took his time with the pedicure, although it could have been done better to smooth the feet/heel. That part was just brushed off. I scheduled an appointment at 5:30. They didn't even get started until 6. They left my nails wrapped in foil and acetone for well over 30 mins when I finally decided to just take them off myself. After a bit longer they finally starting filing and doing the sns dip. Lin was very slow at the whole process and what usually takes me an hour took 2.5 hours. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because my nails came out good. I can get the same quality nails within an hour down the road so needless to say I won't be returning here. read more

If you have a car or live close to the metro, it is well worth it to jet across Route 1 from Old Town and visit Best Nails, only a few blocks from the Huntington metro stop. Despite being so close to the city, this place operates in full suburban fashion. Read, cheaper prices and nicer technicians who take a little more time on you. They have a variety of pedicures available, and range from $20-35. Best Nails has specials Monday-Thursday, with additional discounts and a mani-pedi for $25. They do a great job, and the polish lasts a long time. I've never had to wait here for someone to help me. It's in a run-of-the-mill strip mall, but the quality of the women working here far outshine the lackluster location. read more

Mani and pedi for $30? Appointments not necessary? Big fan. However, towards the end of my pedicure, an individual with an appointment walked in and had to wait until my mani was done (20 mins, max) with their feet soaking. Don't think they were a happy camper, but my lady barely gave the appearance of rushing and did a fantastic job on my fingers and toes. I wish they would line the tubs and I feel like other places outwardly sterilize the equipment more, but for the price, you can't get much better. read more

I moved around six months ago from DC to Alexandria. I was looking for a reasonably priced nail salon and decided to give Best Nails a try after seeing it on my way to the Huntington metro station. It is in a convenient location, at a walking distance from the metro station and multiple bus stops. There is plenty of parking as well. Do not be fooled by appearances. It is true that this is a no frills salon with tacky decoration, but it has modern equipment, it is clean, and best of all, the nail technicians are friendly and highly skilled. In addition, the prices are very reasonable. For $48 I get a French manicure, French pedicure and eyebrow wax. If you select a single nail polish color, the services are even more affordable. The only service I do not recommend is gel nails. I got these a few months ago, but they would last only a week or so. I decided to have them removed and get French manicures instead. Been coming to this place for the past nine months. The ladies are nice, the service is quick (I have only had to wait once for my walk-in). The prices are good too! I just get a basic manicure, pedicure and eye brow waxing, but I am always with each. My french pedicures last about three weeks as do my regular nail color pedicures. read more

They did a phenomenal job on my nails (gel fill) and pedicure and my brow waxing. I went here on a whim because I was late to my other appointment at Sunshine Nails, and had to cancel. I was a walk in and "Nancy" did my nails. I just got a basic get manicure and a regular pedicure. I noticed about the first coat into my gel manicure that there was polish all over my cuticles and fingers. She kept trying to cut more of my cuticle off to get the polish off....WTF? safe to say,,I would not recommend or be back. These look like a 5 yr old painted them! read more

I went in for a gel manicure, paid $30, took about 20 minutes. Pros: fairly cheap, fast Cons: the skip many steps, no lotion or oil used whatsoever, didn't clean under the nail, left nail particles under and around top of nail after filing, didn't fix gel that got on tip of finger which subsequently glued my skin to the nail. I go there when I can and when I do Ci Ci takes really good care of me I get my hands and feet done I feel like a new man when I leave there and she's very thorough and very clean about using the equipment and then the chairs give you a back massage why you getting it done. I thought they did a lovely job. Yes, I was there for a while but that's because the nail tech was VERY detailed and did an incredible job. I got a regular manicure/pedicure and a lip wax -- she did my calluses, cuticles, everything. Three coats on fingers because the polish was kind of a sheer color. I was very impressed. I also liked that she did not talk about me in a foreign language! Very professional and sweet. Quick and easy wax. The prices were excellent. I only give them four stars instead of five because it is not a very attractive space. That said, for the price and service, it doesn't have to be beautiful! Will definitely be back again! read more

What the other reviews say about this place is true. They are slow. I do not mind slow when I am getting a pedicure. I love pampering my feet. The nail technician took her time to really care for my feet. I let her use the razor on my feet to remove all the dead skin and she used it gently. With only taking off a bit, not over doing it. I barely felt it. I love the way they polished my toes. Most (if not all) of their nail polishes are OPI. Winning! I will come here again. If you want to leave a tip, bring cash. Their card reader does not allow you to add your tip on the receipt. read more

I'm an Austin TX helper, just visiting. But I'm surprised by the lack of reviews and the stars on this place! I went with two other folks. We all got the same pedi service and we all finished about 20 minutes apart each. (what??). The pedi was decent (3 stars max maybe) and they have the illegal-in-texas callous shavers, which was interesting. Cold water for your foot soak and the very odd atmosphere knocks this down to 2. The prices are right! $30 for a mani/pedi and I remember seeing that mani's are only $10! My technician was nice and thorough but I wish I had gotten a longer foot massage like some of the other yelp reviewers. haha I can't complain. 4 stars for her attention to detail.. One caveat is to bring cash for tipping. They don't allow you to add it to your credit card transaction. AND I agree with the other reviewers who expressed that the salon's sterilization could use improvement. That's the only reason they get 3 stars. read more

There was a bit of a language barrier with the staff. My daughter asked for a specific color flower design on her toes, and was not given the correct color. They just wiped it off, smudging the toes and reapplied the painted flowers without bothering to re-do the big toe polish. My basic pedi was very well done. Good massage. Old but adequate chairs. My nail technician did a wonderful job on my pedicure and she took to time to make sure they were fully smooth. Then she handed me off to another lady who did my eyebrows and I love how they turned out. I think they raised the prices since some of these reviews were posted, but they're still very decent. I started working in the area in April and have been looking for a new home to get my nails done before my long commute. Went to Top Coat nails, it was around 5:30, they told me to come back at 7:30, no thanks, so I asked Siri to find another spot and stumbled on this salon. I do not like the location at all, seems a bit rough to me, I'm big on complete ambiance, but Cindy did an excellent job on my nails. I got my overlay taken off and got a regular gel manicure. The polish is very neat. I have OCD when it comes to neat-ness and the way my nails are polished as well as the way my cuticles are cut and cleaned and after leaving I had no complaints. Contemplating if I'll go back because of the surrounding neighborhood which is unfortunate. It was 35 for the take down and gel manicure and paid in cash. read more

Just your run of the mill nail salon. I must've had the quick one. My wait time was about 10mins which I like cause that means they take their time. I selected the pedicure/manicure There is a spa option which gives a nice massage. Not really though (90 seconds each leg. Time it). Customer Service 2.5 - I wasn't spoken to but I understand that there can be a language barrier so that's no big deal. I dinged also on the fact that I had to switch people because one had to leave right away. The new lady worked quickly on my manicure and left a lot of rough edges ($0 tip for her) Quality - 3 stars. Same stuff as everyone else - seats massaged, water was hot. Nothing that made them stand out over the top Cleanliness - 3 stars - the equipment was pulled out of bags like you see everywhere so that is good. I didn't like that the store looked a little run down. I know it's not a huge money making business but I would tidy up a bit to make it look a little more presentable to newcomers or anyone really Pricing - 2 stars - $35 for manicure / pedicure. Add $10 for spa (not worth it - you get mental mud on your legs with a hot wrap). Overall experience exceeds a two but not near a 3 where I would actually go back because threes meet expectations. It could've been the two ladies I had. I usually go to this place off edsall rd near panera and get "the bomb" which always leaves me smiling and costs more but moved to the other side of AX. I usually don't get my nails done I usually do them myself because of this exact reason ! I went on a limb and went with my mum to her nail shop and I'm disappointed non the less. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure I'll probably never go back . The pedicure lasted all of 10 minutes Nancy did my "gel" manicure which I could have done myself . She did them I didn't like them she redid them and it's still BAD she said it was the color I choose on top of that she cut me and my nail was burning when she had to soak them to remove the gel. And I had to choose another color which ended up being a darker color than what I choose ! This quick trip to the nail shop took longer than expected next time I just won't !
