I went in for lashes, Ive been told theres only one licensed lash tech that works here. This wasnt my first time, actually my 3rd.. so it was surprising to see a new face to do my lashes when i walked in yesterday. I showed a picture of some volume lashes i wanted. This lady said she would do them for 110. I repeated back to her okay.. 110? Alright lets do it. First of all. Whatever primer or cleaner was put on first was literally setting my eyes on fire. Once we got through that the next time my eye was bothered I said i think one of the lashes is bothering my eye. She replied saying its the lashes I want are too thick do classic! I said Ive never had a problem any other time I get them done.. So I just sit there in pain for awhile til it goes away, this woman literally would press down on my eyeball. I thought i was tripping!! Nope sotting here writing this my left eye feels literally sore when I look around. When the lashes are finished this woman peels the tape off quick and i jumped cause i literally felt my eyebrow getting removed off my face. I swear I cant make this up before I was allowed to open my eyes she offers me "free microblading" and drew on eyebrows for her pictures. As annoyed as I was I had still planned to tip for the effort. I got to the register and saw the pictures and my eyes were blood red. AND she charged me 120$! literally wtf. I tipped STILL and to be completely honest I need a full refund! At the end of the day these are full lashes but not the ones I wanted that she charged me extra for. On top of that my eye the next day is STILL RED and SORE!! Do NOT let Van touch your lashes! She will rip your eyebrows off and gouge your eyes out before its finished. Not coming back. read more

Just left this nail salon very disappointed and lost for words. I usually do my research in advance and noticed all the great reviews but was shocked by the type treatment I received. I went in for what I thought would be a relaxing pedicure but the lady was very rough and rude. She began by removing my gel polish with the machine but it started to burn my toes so I asked if she could slow down and it hurts but she ignored and kept going. I then asked that she soak the gel off so it doesn't hurt me and she got very angry. She poured acetone in the water where I was getting soaked and expected me to put my feet in. I used to go here for gel French manicures. As a result of the nail technician's work; the gel manicures ruined my nails so badly! Now my nails are very weak, they break easily, and they bend like paper. I'm SO upset! I used to have healthy, strong, beautiful nails until I started going to this salon for gel manicures. The gel removal process was way too rough and abrasive, which is why my nails are weak and damaged now. The nail technician never soaked the gel polish off. She would immediately go in with the drill (to rush the process) which has damaged my nails. They also push you to do gel, so they can get more money out of you. I don't recommend this salon and I'll never return. They charge high prices, but the atmosphere is run down and dirty. Don't be fooled by all the good reviews, they're either fake or they're the friends and family of the owner. If you care about the health of your nails, please DON'T go here!!!! My nails were messed up by another worker, so she was going to fix them.. Only the color of my nails could be changed, she said. Having gotten gel manicures, some of my nails cracked and chipped within 3 days. She started working on my nails really rough and talking in her language to her colleagues. Horrible customer service. I had a pedi there and the tech Nancy over cut and poked my cuticles. It was so painful and done with such force and disregard. When I told her to take it easy she proceeded to go back and forth with me and asked that I ask for someone different in the future. While I was in DC for my cousin's wedding, I was looking for a nail saloon and I found this place which was nearby, went inside as a first customer that day, asked if they do gel refill and also asked for the price coz there was nothing mentioned anywhere. Then I was taken to this old lady (I don't remember her name though) who started doing my nails omg! Idk what to say she did my nails in such a horrible way. First she was hurting me everytime she bufffed my nails coz she didn't know how to use the machine properly second i asked her to put me pink she did nude third, she keep on putting the nail gel so many times that it look so thick on my nails. 4th, she didn't do it with finesse i can see my nail gel chipped already. 3 times she tried to fix then I got itritated I stood up, went to the counter, show to whoever was in the counter and asked if they liked it. Idk if they are the owner, gave me the credit for next time which in my case doesn't make any sense coz i was there just for a day and I end up paying $25 for my chipped nails. I came in for a brow microblade appointment, and saw they also have a nail and hair salon in the same location. I did not realize it was the same business, since they have different names. I did not have a nail appointment, but they were slow, so I did a mani-pedi after my brow appointment. They were polite, but rushed, and rough on my cuticles. The manicurist actually cut my fingers a few times. The pedicure was done by a separate person. She used a broken emery board and did not even out the shape. Both hands and feet look smudged, uneven, and messy. And my fingers and toes hurt from where they cut too far with cuticle clippers. I usually keep my cuticles managed and my nail edges smooth. I felt ripped off paying $80 to get a mani-pedi that wasn't even as good as I could have done myself. Oh, and the pedicurist sort of wiped off the metal tools with the same cotton she was using to wipe away the messy edges as she painted my toenails, and then stuck them in a drawer. This is a family owned salon run by humble yet very skilled nail/hair/salon techs. If you want a life changing haircut you need to book KIM in advance (he's always very busy!) I personally know he has traveled all over the world learning techniques to cut hair. He takes his time and he is the ONLY person I allow to cut my hair. If you want to get your eyebrows microbladed for the BEST price in all northern Virginia book MIMI. She transformed my butchered eyebrows that had patches of hair missing in several spots and made them full and I'm addicted to getting them retouched once every year or two. I got mine done two weeks before my bday because it takes 2 weeks to heal and they looked amazing for my bday!
