Detroit style with pepperoni & spinach

I've tried Nick's three times. I've attempted to try Nick's five times. Twice, I called and the wait time was longer than I wanted, so I canceled my order. I've come to expect the wait time as a necessary evil. The food is top notch. Their cheesesteak is the best in the area. I am a fan of John's Roast Pork in Philly and it's the closest thing I've found to that. I love the sesame seed roll and they'll do Cooper Sharp cheese. I've also had the Detroit style pizza. The sauce, toppings, and cheese are all high quality and well proportioned. So, as others have said, they're not the quickest. Just budget in about 30-40 for your order to be fulfilled. It's worth it.

Different cheesesteak #1131 in the last five years. Drinks and Cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Spoiler alert; this may be Delaware's top cheesesteak. It passed the weight and eye test. We got a cheesesteak with mushrooms. The mushrooms and onions added very good flavor. Very good amount of cheese. The cheese was melted nicely throughout the cheesesteak. Good amount of good meat. I like a crustier roll. This did sit in the car while we did an errand and drove to Wilmington Brew Works. We got a pizza. Detroit style is its own style and I think I liked it.

We paid $80 for 4 cheesesteaks that were cold and completely underfilled. I appreciate their response when I called but the product should not have even gone out.

Half pepperoni half cheese pizza. Really good!

Had a cheesesteak and half pepperoni half cheese pizza. Pizza was really good. Cheesesteak didn't disappoint either.

I placed an order for the tomato pie a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Went back the other day for a cheesesteak and was blown away! This is one the best I've ever had. Definitely better than other local spots. Will be back!

Went here today for the first time. I'm conflicted on the rating though. First let me talk about the experience. We walked in at 4:05 to place an order and were told the wait would be about 45 minutes. We've heard such positive things and thought that was a good sign so we said "sure" and took a quick trip to Target around the corner. We got back at 4:45 and the food wasn't ready. In fact, it wasn't ready until 5:20. So we waited another 35 minutes from the time we got back until the time it was ready. While we waited, the waiting area was freezing, literally. There was no heat. So experience wasn't great. Now let's talk about food. For starters the fries were luke warm to cold. Since we were literally standing there waiting, there is no excuse for this. The cheesesteaks were very good though. It's a high quality meat, and the cooper sharp cheese they use adds a really nice flavor. Also, the rolls are soft and fresh and have sesame seeds which also adds a nice touch. They've only been open about 3-4 months though so maybe all of this is opening pains. But we also heard stories while we were there (like one woman who placed an order at noon for a 415 pickup and that order also wasn't ready until 5:20 or a story about someone who placed an advance order and then they ran out of ingredients while filling other orders that came in after but were immediate pickup orders). I think I'd have to give it some time before going back and trying it again or maybe trying it at a non-prime time.

Fantastic pizza. Rest of the food is top tier as well. Definitely recommend coming here as everything you get will be great.

    Cheesesteak

Had a great cheesesteak. Plenty of meat and cheese with the cheese thoroughly mixed in. To me this is more of a Philly style cheesesteak as the meat is sliced thicker than you typically would find in DE and it's on a crusty seeded roll. Personally I prefer the steak sliced thinner but this was still very good. This is only the second time I've had a seeded roll and I'm kind of on the fence on them. Pro's are they add another layer of flavor with the seeds and the rolls hold up to even the messiest sandwiches without falling apart. The slight con for me is that they are definitely a lot chewier. I highly recommend checking them out! Just an FYI it's basically take out only as there is only one very small table inside.

Difficult to find Detroit style pizza in the area but Nicks is solid. Probably the best pizza in New Castle.

Best cheesesteaks in new castle county. On par with Angelo's in Philly. Seeded roll, cooper sharp cheese.

We ordered the Detroit style (from Jersey but was craving a nice fat Sicilian), fries, and wings.

I absolutely love visiting the family owned-and-operated restaurants. And when it comes to…read moreGreek/Mediterranean business, I am all for a place that I've never been to before. This takes me to Wilmington, the largest city in Delaware where I had the opportunity to try out "Opa Opa". Located at the Village of Trolley Square strip mall and adjacent to Delaware Ave & N. Clayton St., this place has been serving up delicious Greek food dating back to 2015. I came here with my lady during the afternoon of Friday 10/10/2025 at around 2:45pm. The interior is bright, spacious, ample room for dining in, and pays homage to the blue and white Greek colors. Additionally, there are several art pieces that represent some of the more popular Greek destinations. Sodas, water, and other various beverages are available in a refrigerator across from the register/counter area. Since I was very hungry (and on my way north to Philadelphia), I decided to go with something that will carry me through the rest of the afternoon. I finally decided on their "Chicken Gyro Platter" w/fries. My lady went with their "Grilled Chicken Greek Salad". We didn't get any drinks as our waters is all we needed to enjoy our lunch. Both of our meals are ready in just under 7 minutes while everything is presented to us in a quick and timely manner. I do have to say that if you're starving, this is the place to come! My gyro was a very generous portion that offered huge chucks of seasoned chicken. In fact, the chicken to veggie ratio was 2:1 as they did not skimp on the protein. My pita bread that encased this was warm and made each bite very savory. The fries were also made well; crispy yet soft on the inside. And as you can see from the photo, the salad that my lady got was also huge. As I mentioned, come hungry and you will leave very full. All in all, "Opa Opa" was a very pleasant surprise as Wilmington offers a lot of ethnic food in all directions. This place also offers very generous hours as they are opened for business Monday through Saturday from 10:30am-10:00pm and Sunday from 11:00am-9:00pm. With above average customer service, a spacious inside dining area, reasonable prices, and generous food portions, this place earns a perfect five-star rating from me.

I came for their "Super Tuesday" deal, which included the Gyro Platter with fries for just $9.95. The gyro was packed with lots of lamb meat, onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki, plus a good helping of fries on the side. Delicious food, great value, and a pleasant atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
