The tomato sauce that ACTUALLY tastes like tomatoes. Hearty and a touch salty and thick. The add-on of mozzarella that is huge and perfectly complimentary. I could smell garlic so I asked the nice young woman if they had garlic bread and she said yes. I asked her if they would put my cheesesteak on garlic bread. She went in the back and came back and said yes. I got the capicola cheesesteak on garlic bread. This was very very tasty. This was almost two cheesesteaks in one. Barcelona Pizza is really a takeout shop with three booths for those foolish enough to prefer eating their food hot, like us. Folks are nice, but not very skilled in table service. The delivery people hang out behind the counter between packing their heat bags to make a drive. They weren't accustomed to having customers actually eating there, and we sort of felt in the way. The food itself was average at best. My son ate his large chicken parm sandwich, but admitted to having had better. It was overly cheesed, out of balance with the red sauce and chicken pieces. The veggie calzone was enormous, and enough for four people. The crust was great, but there were far too many chunky greens and not enough tomato sauce to countervail. Too, we picked out several thick stalks of broccoli without any buds on them. Difficult to eat. Finally, I ordered the Italian Sausage, Pepper & Onion Parm torpedo, but requested that the cheese be left off, and the sauce to be on the side. Apparently, this was a major challenge in the kitchen, because rather than a nice length of sweet sausage, I received coin sized slices of the meat no doubt designed for pizza toppings long before the sandwich was created. It was mixed with the sauce in the roll despite my instructions. So, the sausage was dry and there was too much sauce for my taste. I guess the parmesan melted over everything would hide the ingredients, but when deconstructed, it just came out poor looking and a hodgepodge of other purposed food thrown together without the understanding of what an Italian sausage, pepper and onion sandwich was supposed to be. Not even close. Apparently, there wasn't an Italian in the house who could direct the kitchen staff, and the result was a poor imitation of what is basic cooking in a casa Italiano. Barcelona Pizza was recommended by Manley's Mobile Electronics, they are right around the corner in a little strip of shops. 4 tables if you want to eat it, but they were doing mostly take out and delivery when I was there around 1230 Monday. I went for the ham calzone based on other reviews and was so very happy! It was gorgeous, check out the pic. This is professional grade. Effort and care went into this calzone, it wasn't rushed and thrown together. Plenty of cheese and the ham was sliced thin. A golden crust and delicious marinara on the side, it did not disappoint. It's kind of sad to say, but the pizza place that has been my #1 my entire life is no longer my favorite place to eat. This place is a great "to go" spot. The pizza sauce is just how I like it. The fries are my absolute favorite and are hard to find. The subs could use a little more meat but they are great and the bread is really good. I have had about a dozen items on their huge menu and I have yet to be disappointed. As a matter of fact I ate there 3 times in one day because I wanted to show some of my friends how good their food was and sure enough it was worth every penny and every bite. This is the update based on customer service. I went here on Monday the 18th of April around 3pm and there was a Spanish girl, a guy with curly hair who also appeared to be Hispanic and a guy training and they just kept giving me weird/cold looks. My previous experience here was a great the older gentleman was really nice. This time my chicken wings were salty and the service was rude and stand offish. When I got my food I said thank you as I was leaving and it was just silence. LOL. Then there was confusion because I ordered chicken wings and a salad and she put my sauces for my chicken wings in the bag with the salad that was sealed up so I thought maybe I was missing a sauce because the ranch was in the bag but the hot sauce was not. I went in to get a drink because I forgot to get one previously and I didn't like the habanero sauce so I asked for a regular hot sauce and the guy was like you want another hot sauce? I said yes. It was the rude way he said it and I never got a hot sauce lol it was the habanero honey sauce which is different...in my mind I'm just like you know what I don't have to support your store. The attitude because somebody wants to purchase food from a restaurant is crazy. I'm Good, I won't be coming back I thought the wings were good but I don't like people who are just mean for no reason or racist underneath or whatever the reason is. I don't want someone preparing my food who has animosity towards me and they don't even know me. Plus the consistency of the seasoning of the chicken apparently changes. I don't know those people, there's no reason to be nasty towards me. I'm a type of person, I will not support if you're giving me bad energy for no reason.
