Not being judged and pain-free. Those are the criteria for an acceptable dental visit. But wow, whoo-da thunk I would be raving about my dentist experience to everyone I talked to soon after. Had a filling fall out of my mouth after an aggressive flossing instance. I called 2 dental offices and this one responded first on a Monday. The appointment was made, intake links were sent. When I walked in they knew who I was since I had to upload a picture of myself (very smart way to make a great first impression!). Friendly staff, pro assistant and doctor (I saw Dr. Chin). Very informative and communicative during the appointment. Pristine office. Modern equipment. Took care of my follow-up appointments. The only thing that can be a turn off for some, and I don't know if this is just the way dentist offices are nowadays, but all the patient rooms near me didn't have doors or I didn't notice them. Maybe they do where there is more invasive work being done but in my immediate area I was hearing conversations about extractions and surgery and whatnot. I mean it made me want to brush 10xs a day but that is what that part of the office was like. I hadn't been to a dentist in a loooooooong time. I didn't think I'd ever say this, but... I actually enjoyed a trip to the dentist. From the second I walked in, Leah at the front desk made me feel like I was walking into a spa instead of a dental office--she's so sweet and genuinely caring, it's like she was born to calm anxious patients (aka me). Natalie (assistant/hygienist/angel?) took my X-rays and helped during the exam, and she was so kind and attentive, I felt like I was being taken care of by a good friend who just happened to know how to operate dental equipment. Now let's talk about Dr. Kraft. She's incredible. Like, "can all dentists take notes from her?" incredible. She explained everything clearly, never once made me feel judged (even when I said my teeth were in rough shape from years of depression), and she made sure I felt safe, seen, and respected. She genuinely cares, and it shows. Even the treatment coordinator--whose name I didn't catch, but wish I had--was kind, patient, and transparent when breaking down the pricing and plan. Long story short: this office is full of gems. If you're nervous, embarrassed, or just tired of rushed and cold dental visits, come here. I had such a horrible experience with my last dentist in Oro Valley, that I avoided going for some time. I had been treated rather unfairly and communication was less than satisfactory. When I finally had the guts to find a new place, I experienced the complete opposite. The staff and Dr. Chin took the time and effort to listen to my side of the story and address what would be best to accommodate my present and future needs. I have no doubt I will be able to feel confident that they will work proactively and in a caring manner in the future as well. To start with, scheduling my appointment was very easy and getting the forms filled out with the nicest people in the world at the other end of the phone, wow, what a happy office! Just as true in person also! In the office everyone was just as pleasant! Eddie was great in making us feel relaxed and answered all our questions on the different types of dentures they provide. Kept us updated on the next steps. Dr Chin was also wonderful. He explained thoroughly about the teeth I had, needing approvals, recommendations he had on the options available and why. He informed us of their support and the warranty on the procedure afterwards. He was very thorough. Dr Chin made me feel very relaxed and answered all our questions. We then met with Ms Yadira who walked us through the next steps in the process and how financing would work. Every step in the process is well planned. They make you feel like a VIP in a luxurious hotel! The office was immaculate and beautiful. Overall you're in good hands with very caring and knowledgeable people! read more

My dentist experience has been with Dr. PATEL. She was professional, helped me through dealing with a shot and seems to work with self-assurance. Her chairside assistant was Olivia who worked beautifully with Dr. Patel and with me. The front office area is a welcoming place with Kelly, Leah to greet, direct or answer questions. Hector was a wonderful, conversational chairside assistant and prepared a crown correctly and with precision. The front office is not a sterile place. I had been seeing the same dentist for decades, and the same dental hygienist for a long time. When or dentist retired, I discovered the hygienist I've trusted was still in practice, at Casas Adobes. THIS IS PREDATORY PRACTICE!!! BEWARE!!! I visited the office to have my tooth extracted. I was quoted $350 out of pocket. Wait wait wait. Before that. I work for Defense Contractor and have best dental insurance you can get and office workers checked my insurance and said that it's the only insurance this office accepts and assured me that the rest of the bill is covered by insurance. GREAT!!! Lets do it. Then on the next visit to install crowns they suddenly informed me that insurance did not cover everything and now its my responsibility to cover another $3500. Wait wait wait. You want me to pay $3850 out of pocket to have ONE TOOTH EXTRACTED??? If you would have told me that upfront, I would have never agree to pay $4000 to have one tooth extracted out. Furthermore, I overpaid for installing 2 crowns and was due a refund, because insurance covered more than office expected. And instead of issuing a refund to me, office decided to put that money towards the balance for tooth extraction. I never authorized that and never signed any paper saying that I am ok to use refund for crowns towards balance for other procedures. Doctor Patel that was working on my tooth extraction and crowns have left the practice and even more reason to never revisit this PREDATORY practice. Now they are sending me to a collection which I am happy to fight off. read more

I went and had a temporary bridge put in 2 years ago until I could afford to get a permanent implant put in. I recently got layed off in July and Bridge was getting loose so called them to see if they could reverent and help me until I start my new job and I could afford to pay for it since they do not accept insurance. The new office manager gave me a hard time about getting my work completed and gave me a packet of cement and told me I had to recement myself. I had some trouble applying it so called and spoke with Kelly who told me to come in and she can help me. When I got there the office manager gave me a hard time about it and insisted I pay for another exam out of pocket. She kept giving me a hard time and said she could not help me. I basically wasted my gas and time going down there and she did not seem like she wanted to help me at all. read more

This entry is made during the corona 19 pandemic. Dr. Chin's office goes to great lengths to keep himself, his staff, and most importantly his patients as safe as possible. Performing carside screening, an assistant will come out to my car and take my temperature, make sure I was masked, and then ask me a few questions. Once inside, everything is kept continuously aseptic. This cleanlines is also a direct reflection on their overall attitude towards preventing infections. When I first met Dr. Chin, I could immediately tell that he was more concerned about his patients than just making money. I can't recall any time that Dr. Chin started late or kept me waiting for more than just a couple of moments. He is always cheerful and kind. He promised that I would have a great smile and created one I now can be proud of. From start to finish, I always had confidence in Dr. Chin's abilities and talents. He is polite, respectful, and compassionate. I can say the same for all of his staff that I have encountered. My case was complicated because I had other implants from my past which were incompatible with each other and I was having my upper teeth replaced. No worries, as Dr. Chin made sure to replace them so they matched. During the surgery and subsequent procedures, I was always in excellent care from the anesthesiologist, Dr.Chin's assistant Olivia, and countless other staff members who were with me when I went through this extensive and complex process. I really had a great smile all throughout the replacement process because I was fitted with beautiful prototypes to wear while my permanent appliance was being made. Most importantly, at no time did I ever experience any type of infection after a procedure. Wow! Dr. Chin's dental practice is much more than the incredible expertise he provides. It is just as much his support staff that makes the overall experience so great. They communicate everything with the utmost compassion and tact. At the front desk sits Diana and Janet. Diana, usually greets everyone, answers questions and is always ready to help with scheduling issues. Janet is the financial guru who goes over and above making sure that insurance companies pay their share and explains all costs that I am being charged for services. The staff genuinely likes to be around each other and promotes a culture of kindness towards all patients and amongst themselves. Maria, Crystal, and Hector are Hygienists who have cleaned my teeth and both work independently and with Dr. Chin, always kind and professional. The hygienists always take my blood pressure prior to having my teeth cleaned. On one occasion my blood pressure was so high that if left undetected could have posed a serious health risk. I let my personal physician know about it and she addressed that issue. Even though I have not met all of his staff, I have no concerns if I needed to receive care from them. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Chin and his staff for your dental needs. read more

Then 3 months later they are charging me more than I was originally quoted. Telling me I'm "past due". The office is high on a hill with lots of open parking. When you enter the office it is open, spacious, clean, and modern for a dental office. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. While the waiting area is comfortable and relaxing with cushioned chairs and couches. The exam rooms have beautiful views of the valley below and you can even see Picacho Peak way off in the distance. The dental assistant was very thoughtful in trying to take the x-rays as quickly as possible while making sure you are as comfortable as possible. Then Dr. Chin very carefully goes over your chart history, your x-rays, measures your gums, and carefully examines and makes notes on every tooth. Then he explains all issues that he has noted and helps you develop a plan and a schedule for fixing your teeth and even alignment issues, if desired. Everyone in the office was helpful and friendly and they really do seem to care about their patients and want to help you with your dental health and smile. What more could you ask for? read more
