I can't comment on the quality of the dental care they provide. The other reviews paint a nice picture. All I know is that if you use the form on their website that says "Request an Appointment," you will receive an email a few days later saying "Please call the office to schedule an appointment." And that email went in my junk folder so I had no idea they even responded until a week later. What is the point of having a form saying "Request an Appointment" on a website if you can't use it to request an appointment? They should remove it and say that you must call them to make an appointment. Or they could connect the form to their appointment calendar so that you can actually schedule an appointment. It's not that hard to do. It's a good thing I was able to find someone else to take care of my emergency dental needs. read more

Our whole family has been seeing Dr Emmert for over 8 years. He's caring, skilled, and has the best bedside manner. You won't just be a patient # to him. His clinic staff are also the best people around. This is a great dental clinic and the best part is, Dr Emmert is younger than me and my husband... so we won't have to go looking for a different dentist down the road (we had one retire on us). Our young daughter is blessed to have him starting when she's young (around when she was four or five). They're always on time and care is excellent. We highly recommend them. First time Lisa cleaned my teeth; she did a fantastic job. I was very impressed. She did not complain about the recession or sensitivity of my teeth, and hand scaled them like I normally had done elsewhere. Second time was a completely different experience. Not only did she complain about having to hand scale again, she purposely did not do a good job, and unapologetically said so twice. Without hesitation, she told this directly to Dr. Emmert, and so clearly, things had changed at Dental in Oro Valley. To end the appointment, Lisa gave me a hostile farewell by aggressively spraying cold water into my sensitive recessive areas. I got her message loud and clear, and I would not recommend her. We had moved to Oro Valley recently and it was time for my regular cleaning. As chance would have it I broke one of my front teeth so it sped up my search for a new dentist. Called to make an appt to have it looked at and got in quickly. Dr Emmert examined my tooth and laid out my options. He went over all the options I had and since the tooth in question had already had a cap on it he said the best option would be an implant though he did give me options and not go right for the big bucks option. His office staff were very helpful in making the appt to get what was left of the tooth extracted and the implant started. I also had my cleaning while I was there and loved the way they did it. I'm very pleased and have found my new dentist in Arizona. I've already made the appt for my next cleaning. Great people all around! read more

So apparently I'd started this review about a year and a half ago but there's an update anyway (still positive for a spoiler alert). SO happy I found Dentistry in Oro Valley! We're new to Tucson, and I went here for a second opinion after not feeling comfortable with another dentist, and I am SO glad I did! First of all, the staff in this office are not just great but phenomenal! It's unusual to have such great staff so consistently. I dealt with Courtney at the reception desk primarily, and she was very helpful and informative, and got me in the NEXT DAY after I called, but there was another front desk staff member who was also quite helpful and pleasant. Really, everyone, I'm not kidding. The technician who greeted me was pleasant and very personable, and thorough. The hygienist was fantastic, no pain or sensitivity during the cleaning (I usually have a little sensitivity), and she was personable and informative without lecturing me. And of course, Dr. Sokol himself was great. Gave me his honest evaluation and a straightforward way, I trust his judgement and felt completely comfortable with him. It's a bonus that it's not that far from our house, and a bigger bonus that they are reasonably priced and very easy to w In short, they've absolutely won me over as a customer and I will be returning there for all my future dental needs, and recommending this practice to anyone who asks. Update: So I went back for a periodontal scaling, and I had worried it could be painful, but it was not the least bit painful and went really well! I just wanted to update my review because today's experience was so great, I was so relieved that the procedure went smoothly, and I continue to enjoy coming to Dr. Sokol/Dentistry in Oro Valley. The staff are great, Courtney, really everyone including Dr. Sokol himself are great. But today I believe it was Haley (hope I got her name correct) and she was great! Really put me at ease, I didn't even feel the needle when she administered the novocaine, I had no pain at all during the scaling, it was just a smooth and pleasant experience. The whole staff are professional and caring and personable, and that includes Dr. Sokol himself. He's an excellent dentist, he doesn't push unnecessary work, the prices are quite reasonable, they run things by insurance in advance so you know what you'll be responsible for financially. I ran screaming from another dentist that I really didn't like at all and that's how I found Dr. Sokol and his office and I'm very fortunate to have found them. I highly recommend this dentist and office. I've continued using Dentistry in Oro Valley for regular cleanings and still enjoying it very much. No unnecessary work, very careful with COVID health and safety procedures, I really enjoy both Frank Emmert the dentist and the hygienists (particularly the one I've now had regularly). I don't get lectured if I've slacked off on flossing, I get told in a very diplomatic way if there's sensitivity or pockets showing up. And they are very thorough and professional and easy to talk to. Just an overall ideal dental experience. No reason to go elsewhere. read more

As soon as you walk in the front door of this beautiful office the staff makes you feel right at home with their welcoming smiles and engaging conversation! My experience at this office was priceless! I was welcomed promptly by the hygienist, Shannon! The cleaning was sensational! She was thorough, gentle, caring , kind, and extremely professional! Next, I saw the dentist and assistant for an exam and for the first part of the implant process. Dr. Frank Emmert and his assistant Kaylee were phenomenal! Dr. Emmert was so gentle the entire time! I didn't even feel the needle for the anesthesia and I have dental anxiety so this is huge for me! He took his time and didn't rush through the appointment. He was caring, kind, and extremely professional and had a rather good sense of humor! I really enjoyed the visit with Kaylee, Dr. Emmert and Shannon! After all the "dental fun", I was ushered to the front area, where I was greeted again by one of the friendly staff members named, Dalene. She kindly explained my insurance benefits and answered any questions I had. I absolutely recommend this office! I had two bad experiences in California, where I currently live, but I am originally from Tucson Arizona so that is why I choose to come back to an office in Arizona and to where I myself went to dental hygiene school!
