Beautiful Office, staff is friendly and professional. Unlike another office I visited, I was treated with respect and they honestly cared about my issues. I highly recommend Ironwood as your family dentist for all your oral care.

I needed a second opinion on a cracked tooth, I was scheduled within a week and when I walked into the office they not only saw me but fixed the cracked tooth the same day! I was expecting to have to come back for the procedure as this is a VERY busy office. The staff was extremely kind!! The cost of the estimate was well within what I had thought especially being out of network. Would highly recommend. Dr. Chavez also takes new patients and when she schedules for a new patient, she does a comprehensive exam with consultation! I have never heard of that before but that only adds to the positive experience of this dental office. Thank you so much!

I had previously briefly been a patient of the sister Oro Valley Dental practice (equally awesome!)…read moreand this was my first experience at Orange Grove Dental. And it was for an extraction procedure. Well, I'm writing this about 2 weeks after that procedure. I was happy walking out of the office the day of the procedure, and I'm even happier now with a completely smooth recovery. First of all, the office staff are absolutely OUTSTANDING. I don't know how you could possibly get better customer service. And the waiting area is a very pleasant environment, there's bottled water, and it's very comfortable. Every aspect of interacting with the support staff was excellent - scheduling, reminders, billing, you name it. All done pleasantly and efficiently. Then there was the extraction itself. Not that I'm running any dental procedure races here, but my goodness, I'm pretty sure my procedure - an extraction with a bone graft - was done in under half an hour! Amazing! Dr. Ham explained what he was planning to do, executed on it, I had NO pain whatsoever during the procedure, and get THIS - while yes, they highly encouraged me to take a pain killer the minute I got home, I really didn't feel the need to do so and I have not once taken ANY pain medication AFTER the procedure. Didn't need to, no pain! Sure I may have had some bleeding - expected - the day of the procedure, and had to put some gauze in the vacated spot where the tooth had been, but after that, no more bleeding the next day, and on the road to a smooth recovery. I don't know how I could be any happier with a dental practice. I mean, I bet nobody LIKES going to the dentist, but if you do have to go, this is an excellent place to get your dental work done. I plan to continue being a patient here.

Stop Searching. Call Advanced Family Dentistry Today…read more If you have been searching for a dentist, stop. Make an appointment with Advanced Family Dentistry (AFD). A dental appointment should feel like visiting trusted friends after a long week--not something you dread. That has been my experience at AFD. A dentist is one of the most important professionals you will ever have. If you cannot honestly say, "I love my dentist," schedule an initial appointment at AFD and compare the experience for yourself. In my opinion, the culture of any practice starts at the top. If the owner is not a licensed, practicing dentist, or if your dentist does not inspire confidence and put you at ease, keep looking. Payam K. Asadi, DMD creates a calm, relaxed atmosphere while maintaining exceptionally high professional standards. He appears to hire highly qualified employees, genuinely listens to their input, and has built a practice where the staff consistently appear happy, engaged, and proud of where they work. It is an office where patients are treated with warmth and respect. On my first visit, another patient noticed I was new and said, "You'll like it here. Never stop coming, even if you think there's a better dentist. There isn't." It was unsolicited advice from someone with nothing to gain, and after becoming a patient, I understand exactly what he meant. I had a complicated upper front tooth problem that multiple dentists either declined to treat or could not confidently address. Within minutes, Dr. Asadi presented two well-reasoned treatment options. Rather than automatically recommending implants, he explained why implants adjacent to compromised teeth might not be the wisest long-term investment given my age and my goal of maximizing the usefulness of my dental care over the next 35 years. I appreciated that he focused on what was best for me rather than the most expensive procedure. Dental assistant Vicente deserves special recognition. He is the first male dental assistant I have worked with, and I found the experience refreshingly comfortable. The conversation felt natural, professional, and relaxed, making the appointment noticeably less stressful. I appreciate seeing greater diversity within the dental profession and believe patients benefit from having talented professionals of every background. Another aspect I value is that AFD treats patients like responsible adults. The office has always been respectful and professional in its interactions, creating an atmosphere built on mutual trust rather than rigid bureaucracy. If you are looking for a dental practice where you will actually look forward to your appointments, where professionalism is combined with genuine kindness, and where you feel confident your care is the priority, I recommend calling Advanced Family Dentistry at (520) 293-9277. They look forward to welcoming new patients. (28 July 2028).

The one-star rating does not reflect my experience with the staff. I was very happy with the front…read moredesk and appreciated their patience with me regarding my new-patient documentation. Natalie, the dental hygienist, also did an excellent job with my cleaning. My concern is with the treatment recommendations I received during my August appointment. During my first examination, some of the dentist's findings were identified to me as cavities, and fillings were recommended. I was also advised that I needed two crowns on my front teeth. Something about the amount of recommended treatment did not feel right to me, so before proceeding, I decided to seek an independent professional second opinion from another dentist in Tucson. I am 73 years old and wear both upper and lower partial dentures. During my first visit, the recommendation for two crowns was discussed with me several times. However, at no point during those discussions do I recall the dentist mentioning that the crowns could potentially create fitting issues with my existing partials. During my second opinion, the dentist explained to me that the proposed crowns could interfere with the available space for my lower partial and potentially affect the fit of my partials. Another issue particularly concerned me after receiving the second opinion. An area that may have appeared to be a cavity was specifically pointed out by the second dentist as worn enamel associated with the clasp of my partial. During my first examination, I do not recall the term "worn enamel" being mentioned or any discussion about wear caused by the partial clasp. I only learned about the worn enamel and its apparent cause when the second dentist examined the area and explained it to me. I was also concerned by how quickly the financial side of the proposed treatment moved. Before I left the first office, a treatment estimate had already been prepared for me without my asking for one, and I declined to sign it. Based on what was explained to me at the time, I understood that my responsibility could have been approximately $1,100 to $2,000, depending upon how much of the proposed crowns and other treatment my insurance would cover. As a new patient, the process felt very fast to me. It had only been approximately six months since my previous dental visit, which was another reason I decided it would be wise to have the recommendations independently evaluated before agreeing to significant dental work. I am very glad I did. According to the second dentist's evaluation, the two crowns were not necessary, and I was advised that some of the proposed fillings were not needed. The treatment I am actually receiving has an overall cost of $586, including the amount covered by insurance. For me, the difference was significant--not only financially, but because the second evaluation also addressed the potential fitting issues involving my existing partials. What continues to concern me is the difference between the two evaluations. The two crowns had been discussed with me several times during my first visit, yet I do not recall any discussion about their potential effect on my partials. Likewise, I do not recall worn enamel or wear associated with the partial clasp being discussed with me. Both of those issues were brought to my attention during the second opinion. For most of my life, I tended to accept a dentist's recommendations without questioning them. This experience changed that for me. My recommendation to others is simple: when significant or expensive dental work is proposed--particularly crowns, extensive fillings, or treatment that could affect existing dental appliances--consider obtaining an independent second opinion before proceeding. As much as I liked and appreciated the staff, because of my overall experience and the concerns I was left with regarding the recommended treatment, I decided to leave this office and continue my dental care with another practice. After considering the amount of dental work originally proposed, how quickly the treatment estimate was presented to me, and what I subsequently learned from an independent second opinion, I was left feeling as though I was being upsold. That is my personal impression of the experience, and ultimately why I felt more comfortable continuing my dental care elsewhere.

Patient, kind, reassuring, and a perfectionist artist in what she does (in a good way!). Wonderful working relationships with orthodontists and oral surgeons gives you total care. The hygienists are 100% snark-free and lecture-free. Office staff are kind and knowledgeable about insurance. This practice has figured out what other dental offices have not: treat people with kindness, quality, and positive encouragement and they'll keep coming back! I had a horrible experience with Dr Bunch, however. Sub-par work, zero chairside manner and made many unprofessional comments about other patients in front of me. Not interested in hearing your commentary on some rando's sinus size, doc. So just make sure you don't end up with her and you'll be good. Dr Storey and her staff are a rare find. If you're nervous because it's been a while since you've been to a dentist, or you don't floss as much as you should, don't be shy. You won't be lectured - you'll be encouraged, and that will help you build a relationship and get you on a path to dental health! But seriously, if you don't floss, it's like taking a poop and only wiping your outer butt cheeks. Go floss.
