Took my car there and didn't worry based on all the reviews. My car was making a noise at low speeds and when stopping. They got me in about a week after I called. They got the car "fixed" quickly which was great. However they claimed it was something loose with my parking break. I barely drove it down the road and noticed nothing was different. So I took it somewhere else and got it sorted. When they called they mentioned that the problem could be something else but that it wasn't. I took their advice. They didn't even bother to drive it around to check their work. So disappointed. read more

Experience here was fine overall. Needed brakes and a starter. Service seemed timely enough. I want to say they told me they'd look at the car Tuesday, but didn't look at it until the end of Wednesday. It's possible I'm confused on that point, since I called some other mechanics first. Once they got the car in, they did the work right away. The woman working the customer side of things was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Working with her made everything easy to manage. Complaints: - They for some reason "had to use a Denso" starter, which added a large amount to the final cost, and of course was marked up after that. Not sure why they needed to use a Denso, or why a remanufactured part cost more than twice the new parts at rockauto. - Bigger complaint: Looks like they used a remanufactured part, and no one asked or mentioned. So not only did I pay too much for a starter, but I thought I'd at least be getting a new one. - They replaced the air filter without asking and without naming it in the quote I was given over the phone. So another 20 bucks for something I could have ordered off Amazon and put in myself in 30 second. At least the filter was only about 4 bucks more through them than Amazon is charging during COVID, but it's about twice what I paid last time. It's really the principle of the thing. It's possible this stuff was just communication issues. I don't know why they "had to use a Denso", for instance, but also didn't ask about it. Because I had dropped the car off to get checked out, it's possible the air filter was something that should have been mentioned, but due to the nature of phone calls, it just slipped through the cracks as the woman was looking at the quote, and when I gave the go-ahead, the mechanics just did what I supposedly approved over the phone. So look, I have some concerns and some questions, but overall I'm guessing the work was done well. Using a remanufactured Denso means they probably made sure to use the "right" part even if it wasn't the cheapest. And the price (make sure you go on their website and print coupons first, and mention them before you make payment) and service are leaps and bounds better than what the local Toyota dealer offers. Besides, if they do a better job than most mechanics, it's worth paying a bit more to make sure it's done right. I'll probably come back here for the next thing that comes up, and hopefully next time there won't be any surprises or questions. read more

I recently bought a car through Carvana and had a 7 day test drive period to see if I liked the car or not. The day the car was delivered, I called this shop to see if they could fit me in the next day for a pre purchase inspection (I guess a pre finalized purchase inspection lol). They had room for me, and I brought my car over and dropped it off on my lunch break. Later, I called seeing if it was ready for pick up and they said that my car was in such good shape they didn't even need to spend much time on it and wouldn't be charging me for the inspection. The fact that I was a new customer and that we usually hear mechanics can be sketchy and greedy made me really shocked to hear them be so generous and kind. Even if they did charge me for it, I would definitely take my car back here for any issues that may arise. They're honest, generous, and flexible. Thanks guys! read more

Was quoted a minimum of $350 (with a max possibility of $2,400) elsewhere, saying at least one part needed replacing, possibly more. Took it to Cascade Automotive Service for a second opinion, after hearing they were honest and trustworthy, and they found that literally nothing needed repairing. My problem was simply a sensor needed cleaned. They did it for only the cost of the inspection. This was my first time and I will definitely be back! read more

I've only been to CAS one time so factor that into your analysis. I thought I had a blown head gasket but it turned out to be a blown seal on a radiator cap. So my emotional state went from a $2000 job (ugghhh!!!) to a $5 replacement cap (yeah, beer's on me tonight). CAS gave GREAT advice over the phone before I ever took the car into for an inspection. The service was quick (same day) as they ran pressure tests to confirm that it was truly nothing more than a broken cap seal. So the final bill was $60. I felt that I got honest, sincere advice from the mechanics and staff. Everything was explained clearly including my options for other attention the car might be needing. I am a "preventative maintenance" guy so this was right up my alley. I value reliability, not repair and I felt that CAS offered the same philosophy. I definitely will be going back to CAS giving them some additional opportunity to retain this 5 star rating. read more

Cascade Automotive is my choice for service. I have an older SUV (10+yrs old) that is in decent shape still needs a replacement part every now and then due to the age. Being a bit unhappy with some of the tactics at the dealership (i.e., every time I brought it in for service, I would get the "you know we have new models don't you want to take a look" type stuff), I found Cascade Automotive Service. The guys were great. They fixed my SUV's issues in a timely manner, pointed out other minor things to keep an eye on, and didn't try to pressure me to fix them on the spot. My husband and I have both had work done on our vehicles at CAS over a number of years and have always felt we received excellent, professional service. I have a VW Teguan turbo that never had proper acceleration. I had it into a local VW dealership 4 times complaining about this problem. Each time the dealership changed something under the warranty, but it never solved the problem. I finally took it to CAS and within a short time they called me and told me 2 original spark plugs had never been installed correctly and had rusted and in turn caused coils to rust. It only had 50k miles at the time. They took care of it and I feel like I am driving a new Teguan It finally has fantastic acceleration. read more

Due to the downturn in the economy I wound up in a situation where I really had to start taking care of things myself. So for the past 10's I've been doing my own repairs. Just recently I had a problem that was outside of anything a repair manual or the internet could tell me. I needed help and my first thought was to take it to Cascade Auto. I'm happy to say they found the problem!!! It was something that should have never happened and could have been a defect going back to when the motor was built in the factory.
