I has asked for a quote for the entire property, including all 4 private fenced-in areas. They replied with a quote of around $400, so I accepted and paid the fee. Then, they upsold me on the added weed-killer treatment, so I paid more for that. Then I was advised they had to come out a few days before the yard work to do the treatment, so I agreed. They came out and sprayed for weeds, but missed several spots and completely missed the private areas, however, I did not even realize they only did the common area until later. Additionally, they sprayed my neighbor's very beautiful ground cover in the parking strips in their driveway and killed the entire large patch of plants! Later that week, they came to finish the yardwork, and much to my dismay, when I returned home, they had missed the private areas. Also, I could not tell any difference in the common area from before they had allegedly done the work. Also, to my confusion, they had not touched the private areas! The yard people we paid much less money we had before did the entire property, and I mean they were out there for 5 straight hours, raking up all pine needles and hauling them away and really making the place sparkle. I looked at my RING Camera and watched them. These guys were out there for less than one hour. Didn't rake up anything and missed many weeds all over the ground! I'm not even sure what they actually did, since everything looked the same. I contacted the company and they were a little dismissive about it all. I advised them that my quote request was not just for the common area, but for the entire property, and I even showed them in the original email request. The only reply was basically, "oops, sorry", and a new quote for around $1200!!! I also informed them they killed all of my neighbor's ground cover plants, they didn't seem to care much about that, either. Additionally, we discussed the lack of actual effort put forth by the work crew, and again, just "sorry". I was going to remain silent and just chalk it up to having made a VERY BAD decision by hiring this company and apologize to my neighbors, profusely. However, just the other day, I received a bill from them after months of silence. So, I am here to warn anyone reading. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!

They are truly service-oriented from the moment you reach out to them, and it starts with Dan. He's friendly, responsive and provides detailed estimates immediately for whatever work is needed. We have a 5-zone sprinkler system with a combination of drip lines and sprinklers in the front and backyard. It's a funky arrangement that needed a serious upgrade. His crew (Marvin and Jose) are miracle workers! They are real problem solvers who managed to reroute some existing sprinkler lines, fix several hidden leaks and provide more water coverage in several zones. Marvin and Jose are a joy to watch. They really enjoy their work and it shows. Marvin will even sing while he's putting in new drip lines or tying off others, and nothing seems to faze him. Both men are polite, courteous and appreciative of drinks and snacks while they work. They say "Thank you, so much" every time. After spending the entire day at our home, we tested the system and everything worked well, but there were a few dry spots I noticed the next day. Dan came by today to collect payment and I showed him the areas where water wasn't quite reaching and he said, "No problem." Marvin and Jose will come back to make a few adjustments -- at no extra charge. Best of all, the new parts they install are guaranteed for 5 years instead of one. Who does that? I realized I needed help after several hours in the hot sun. After getting bids from three other gardening providers on Yelp, I ended up choosing Joseph. And am I glad I did! He came out and after walking through my overgrown pollinator garden, he gave me a quote which was pretty much consistent with the others. Big difference? He communicates well, he is ethical, he shows up on time, works hard, cleans up afterward. He is also a nice man who cares about the quality of what he does. Joseph is knowledgeable about many plants and trees. To his credit, when he encountered one he wasn't familiar with, he set about educating himself so he would do things right. He pruned my Mock Orange, Oregon Grapes, my Japanese Maple, a wildly out of control espaliered Apple tree, thinned out some fading seasonals, and pulled up a dying azalea I'd tried, but failed, to bring back. Then pulled out the overgrown weeds from my curb and sidewalk to make it all look more tidy. I'll be calling Joseph again, absolutely. You should, too. He was knowledgeable, easy to work with, and gave me a great price for the work. Several days later he and one of his employees came back and did the job. I can honestly say that my yard has never looked this good in the 30 plus years I have lived here. The edging was sharp and they created a lovely rounded shape around my lacy leaf maples. My camellia bushes are now down to a size where I can actually reach the flowers! All evidence of debris was cleaned up and taken with them . Their prep & form work was very shoddy and they were not going to reenforce their concrete with any substrate such as wire mesh or rebar. We fired them before any concrete was poured. I hired Green Zone to dig a ~45' trench to a shed in my backyard at 2' deep for electrical conduit. He initially bid the job at one day and $810. I made the mistake of assuming he had a trencher and other equipment for this task. He showed up on day 1 with a gas auger for post holes, not a trencher. After a couple hours on day 1, he said the cost would actually be $1500 , nearly double the original cost because of some unexpected difficulty with rocks and other debris. He spent a ton of time trying to get the auger to start/restart throughout the day. Of course he wasn't able to finish that day, and said he'd come back with electric tools more appropriate for the job. On the second day, he came back with the same gas auger, though it seemed to be in somewhat better running order. About halfway through that day, he said he wouldn't be able to dig a straight trench because of debris. He eventually got someone to bring an electric saw he used to remove this debris, to his credit. At the end of the second day, he said he was going to come back with a mini excavator to finish the job. On the third day, he did come back with one, but it was extremely large for the space and resulted in a completely destroyed yard surface, a damaged structure in the yard, and concerns about the shed foundation.
