I absolutely loved this spa! I did the pearl package and definitely recommend it for ultimate relaxation. I had the same woman, Coco, for the whole package and she was really nice. It looks like they stack the appointments and I was the only person in the sauna and jacuzzi. Other parties looked like they can go together. I should have asked. After the jacuzzi and sauna i felt a little faint and Coco grabbed me some water and tried fanning me. Was a little hot to start off for me. After the body scrub, reflexology, face mask and massage was very relaxing. We can put our items in the locker room and theres showers if you need to shower after. Couples spa day! Such a great way to spend a few hours relaxing. Check-in includes your choice of champagne or wine. You'll be asked to swap your shoes for a pair of house slippers. Our package: An attendant walked us to the locker room to change into a robe, once changed we went into the Himalayan salt room and then the steam room. No other spa goers were with us, such a bonus. After the steam we took a quick shower and went into a communal room for the foot massage. Once complete we were escorted to a private massage room where we had tea and then completed our experience with a full body massage. Such a lovely day. One down side was the parking, they provide you an address to a lot where you can park for free, but the lot is difficult to find and once found the spots reserved for the spa were taken. We ended up paying to park & parking in the area is far from cheap. We made the most of it and grabbed dinner and dessert in the area. We'll definitely be back. read more

I've been coming to cascade spa for couples massages a few time in the past which were great. Unfortunately, my last massage was not great. I booked a 90 minute couples massage and the first 15/20 minutes were being massaged over the clothe. And by massage I mean just putting pressure on random areas of my back. And for some reason - which I don't know why - she lodged her elbow against the back of my head!!! It was super painful.. she took her elbow off my head and did it again and I asked to stop... how does anyone think an elbow to the back of your head/ neck is okay!? Once she stopped she went back to putting pressure over the clothe. My wife's massage was already past the cloth massage and was receiving the oil part of the massage. My masseuse started giving me the oil massage shortly after. I feel like the 90 minute massage was just added fluff compared to the 60 minute The rest of the massage started getting a little better but the entire during and after the massage I was feeling pain from the elbow to the skull. I'm giving a 3/5 because the massage got a bit better but it wasn't a good experience. I might need to start looking for a new couples massage spot read more

This was my first time experiencing a regular spa. For context I've only ever frequented Korean spas. This was different than Korean spas--you're covered for the most part. No uniforms, but you get a robe. I booked a couple's experience on Sunday afternoon. It was pretty much empty and nearly had the place to ourselves. The staff hardly spoke a speck of english but the instructions were pretty straightforward. The first step: Remove shoes and put on slippers. Head to locker room and was told to remove ALL clothing, put clothes and belongings in locker, put on a robe, then escorted next door to the steam room. You're in the steam room with some drinks, for about 15 minutes. It got too intense for me so I tapped out at 10 minutes lol. 2nd step: Back to locker room. You shower, put on undergarments, then a robe. Was escorted out to get a feet scrub in a very dim room. Mild leg, and neck and shoulder massage. 3rd step: Escorted to another room, sat down for about 10 minutes for tea and then had a full body massage. Our experience was pretty chill, and it was extremely relaxing. The masseuses we've had were very attentive and kind! My masseuse kept checking in on me if the level of pressure was good. The massage was great, except I broke out in hives after. I'm assuming the massage oil used is something I am allergic to, so I'd likely opt out of it the next time I'm here. Other than that, I'd recommend Cascade to anyone in need of a spa day. read more

High 3s, low 4s. We came here on Valentine's day to have a couple's massage. I think we got pretty lucky to even get a reservation just a few days prior since they look very busy for the occasion. That said, our whole couple's massage felt a little bit rushed? We got the 1-hour massage and was kind of disappointed to find out a male therapist was assigned to my fiance while I get to have a female. We would just appreciate having the option instead of just finding out later on. Since my fiance made the reservation over the phone, he didn't get to pick our preferred masseuse though I feel like that's something that can be asked when he called. The massage was amazing and priced reasonably for California standards. I believe it was $120. We just can't help but to feel we were rushed. Literally after our session was finished, a couple of therapists were already waiting for us to exit as the room will be used pronto. Again, this might be an isolated case since it's a busy holiday. Notes on parking: it might be hard to find a spot since the spa is located on a busy, inner street filled with restaurants. We were able to use paid parking quite nearby for $4 for two hours. read more

It consisted of a small flute of sparkling wine, 15 minutes of the lemongrass lavender wet sauna, a shower (all amenities included), reflexology with a head massage, and a whole separate hour of full body massage. The temperature inside was just right, the music was very relaxing, and the dimmed ceiling lights with moving images made for a calming environment during the reflexology (shared room with others but you're in a robe staring at the ceiling). Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. There was a language barrier unless you speak Chinese but we were able to navigate through all the stations without a problem. TIPS: -bring cash to tip, it immediately goes to the massage therapists. -bring a bathing suit for the wet sauna and a bag to store your wet bathing suit after. -there's free parking, get the directions when you make your appointment. read more

While visiting San Diego we were looking for spas for a spa day and we found this place on Yelp. We were staying at the Gaslamp district and it was about 15 minutes away, we called on Saturday for a Sunday appointment for 2 at 10am. We first wanted the Topaz package for $110 and like 100 minutes but when we got there the receptionist mentioned that there wasn't a massage. So she told us the various packages and we chose the Orchid package-- very relaxing and it brought us to every part of the spa. From a regular store front it felt like a resort spa, we started with the sauna, champagne, jacuzzi, sea salt scrub, 90 minute massage, and ended with the tea in the tea room. It was great it felt like a spa in Vegas or any other resort I've been to. I had Allen and he was great! I would highly recommend and would come back if I'm visiting SD! Came here for my birthday to pamper myself. I enjoyed the experience more because of the company of my own party. The experience itself is exciting because of the theme/ambiance/decoration, you have your own attendant to assist you, and you're always moving to one to another section of the spa. When we began, we took off our shoes and put on provided slippers. We were then escorted to the bathroom to change out of our clothes into a robe. Because of the language barrier and sort of being rushed, we didn't quite understand that was all we had to do (just change into the robe). We thought we had to shower first so we hopped in the shower only to be stopped 5 minutes later to get out of the shower and just get into our robe. No worries! We were then escorted to the eucalyptus sauna where we sat as the thickest steam came out of a pipe filling the space. It was crazy! We had no sense of time, could hardly see our hand in front of us, and we started getting a little freaked out. Alas, 20 minutes later, someone did come for us and motioned for us to follower her. We then went to another room with other people and received our scalp massage, foot scrub, and facial. The facial is just those face mask packs you can buy at target or wherever. They spread the serum in your face and then put the mask on you. I think this lasted only 15-20 minutes. After, we were led to another room where it was our own. They gave us some tea and we sat while we waited for them. This is where we received amazing massages. I think it lasted 50-60 minutes, I'm not completely sure the time on it. And after we were done, we were escorted back to the locker room where we could shower and get dressed. Our shoes were then returned to us. We paid and left. It was a good experience for $300+ (Couples Staycation Package). I keep it in mind when talking about spa experience with other people but I'm not sure when I will return. read more

I went in for a basic package and decided to try the couples VIP experience instead. The experience ended up being worth the price. The staff is so helpful and attentive. They guide you well through each room and they know when to refill your champagne glass. I lost myself in the decor and the various soothing scents across the halls. I would def go back. Other people must know the right person to get and ask for by name because I gifted my wife a massage here for her birthday and it was AWFUL. I told them Swedish massage and I don't think they actually knew the difference between deep tissue and Swedish-style massages. The female masseuse did not speak one word of English so my wife could not tell her how painful it was. She tried to point and say "bad" with a frown but it apparently was not understood or the masseuse did not care. My wife currently has many small bruises all over her back from the woman digging her elbows into her. Again, that is a deep tissue style and we asked for Swedish. Never going here again. It wasn't that peaceful of an environment and no one seemed to have good customer service. I recommend avoiding this place. read more
