There is downstairs up pet wash self-serve and they also the only place I've ever seen where they have a Weight Watchers for dogs where dogs get Wade And if they lose weight, they get a toy so I highly recommend come visit the store and speak to the wonderful lady named DJ. I adopted a dog from Okandogs rescue and stopped by for puppy stuff. I was greeted by the door and ask if I would like to join friendship club which was a staff member shop with us to answer any questions and pick up a variety of supplies! We received a discount on a pet bed, toy, and food. We have been only once before for cat collars but have a large selection of all kinds of stuff! Such an awesome pet store! This place has it all. I came to Wenatchee on a few day trip to Crescent Bar and stopped in the area for coffee. With my dog with me, I decided to stop in and see if there was any treats for her and boy are we glad we did! While we live in the Seattle area, this pet store was way bigger and had so much more than all the other pets stores on the west side. They had all her favorite brands and more. This local small business pet shop was a great find in the middle of downtown Wenatchee. Huge selection, good pricing and a wonderfully attentive and friendly staff put them over the top. We brought our puppy in and he was instantly greeted with a variety of treats (which we ultimately bought from their bulk section). Employees gave him lots of pets and welcomes. The owner was outside and very personable. He is clearly a pet lover and treated our dog like his own dog! The store was large and used its space well - seems like everything you would need for your pet and more! Tons of toys, accessories, food, health items and items for any occasion. Aisles were large enough to walk through with your pet and amazingly, our pup didn't tear into the many toys and appealing items within his reach. If we lived here, we would come to Firehouse. We will certainly stop again to pick up items when we are in Wenatchee. read more

I am from out of town but shop here whenever I can. The place is amazing and always the newest most intriguing inventory that you do not find in the "standard pet shops" or even other boutiques. The friendly atmosphere is hard to find these days. The food, treat and supplement selections are well researched for proper nutrition. The employees are well educated on their products as well...try finding that knowledge in the box stores! I did some price comparisons and found them to be less on most products than other boutiques and the box stores! Toys, treat bar and human gift items are fun to shop for...I have a "just a few" candles and sweatshirts! I give them as gifts every year too. We took our dog camping in Quincy and drove into Wenatchee just to give him a bath as I love their self-dog wash! I love Firehouse, but my dogs love it even more! read more

Terrible attitude with service by owner, an older lady was rude and un-accommodating . After being a very great customer over $2,000 spent in last 3 years and supporting all the community reach out fund raisers , we will never support this store again. With a 13 week old puppy in hand and a ear ripped off a chew toy, recommended by staff two days earlier, the old lady says these are not meant to be chewed. No we're not replacing it. I said it was encouraged by one of your employees and she raised her voice and said , " no refunds on chew toys" the product was poorly made in China , I should have examined more closely it was $16! In this economy the true owner (perhaps family) needs to retire this person to counting money in the back of the store and not allow her to deal with customers. My person said I had to have a bath--and I really hate baths--but when we went in today, I had such a lovely time. The nice humans kept talking to me and giving me treats, and they gave my person a cup of coffee while we waited for my bath! When we went downstairs, a nice human named Caleb told my person all about how to wash me, and you know what? It wasn't so bad! As a cat owner, Firehouse Pet Shop has made it necessary for me to never have to visit Petco or Petsmart or shop online for cat necessities and I will be forever grateful. Each of the many times I have visited Firehouse, the employees have been attentive, inviting, and seemed to be truly invested in helping me care for my cat. I came in a month ago to try to find a product I, as a new cat owner, had thought would make my life easier. Not only did Allen, (who owns the business with his wife), steer me away from the product I wanted to a more ergonomic and economic alternative, he sincerely listened to my concerns and gave me a genuinely helpful response. You can't get that from Amazon. Or maybe you can, I don't know, I hate Amazon. There is obviously careful curation of the products they offer. There are options for every price range for not only food but for toys and tools as well. If you have a dog or cat and would rather shop on Amazon or at Petco that's fine I guess but you're really missing out! read more

My wife and I have been visiting The Firehouse for a couple months now, mostly to talk to the friendly people, and to pet the cats back in their "search and rescue" adoption room. Just this past weekend, we finally broke down and adopted one of the cats. They partner with the local Humane Society to find homes for strays, and they gave us a nice discount on the supplies and toys we purchased to entertain and care for our new cat. Their merchandise tends to be on the upper end of the quality scale, don't go expecting the cheapest prices on everything. That's not to say that they are over-priced, just that their merchandise is not the bargain-basement stuff you'll find at some of the big-box stores. They also have a very nice, newly-installed dog-wash downstairs. We will continue to patronize them, for sure. read more

I live in Illinois and even though Firehouse Pet Shop is based out of Washington they took care of me like I was a regular to their store. With our state under a shelter-in-place order to combat Covid-19 I really wanted this one particular item that I could use to take my dogs on bike rides with me. The Firehouse Pet Shop website had it in stock but I ran into checkout problems. After calling Jennifer, and another person on staff whose name escapes me, were very kind and helped get the order issues sorted out. I don't live close enough to frequent their business but I would in a heartbeat because if this is the service they give for a one-off order to a guy in Illinois they must be absolutely astounding when working in person. read more

Wanted to purchase a buddy rider for my puppy and was dealing with a pet shop in Austin Texas to purchase one. I found there customer service unacceptable so I looked further and lo and behold, I found Firehouse, selling the same product,. There customer service was fantastic, so I bought it through them. Unfortunately the buddy riders didn't fit properly on our Rad 4 City bikes and we had to return it. Allen at Firehouse was more than friendly in the return process. I freakin L-O-V-E this place! It's a bit expensive for some things, but well worth it. I found the best snack sticks for my Charley. They also have dried fish skins. I bought the Cod and the Salmon. I also love that they have the stuffed peanut butter treats for my dog. If you go towards the back of the store you'll find a nice selection of items for cats too. I picked out a few nice things for therm to. The best thing about this store is the grooming downstairs. You can do-it-yourself and they provide everything from a riser for a smaller dog, like mine, to towels, shampoo (they have a nice selection), blow-dryer. Everything. And, the prices are reasonable. Definitely going back...almost forgot, they also have a nice bakery selection for dogs and a nice clothing selection for humans. read more

You know when you have a really great experience and keep thinking about it hours afterward? That's how we feel after bringing our pups in for a nail trim and some safety gear! Shop: The selection was large and the service impeccable! One of the ladies even helped us try on and adjust a harness on one dog, and went above and beyond to locate an obscure and hard to find item I was pretty sure I would have to buy online (they had it!)... did I mention she was incredibly knowledgeable and even gave reviews of the pros/cons between different products so I could make the best choice for our dogs and lifestyle. The store has everything you're looking for and the prices aren't grossly inflated. I also noticed that they didn't carry any low-quality products, which personally I appreciate because it shows integrity and I can trust they won't sell something dangerous or that will quickly wear out. Grooming: The technician was incredibly skilled and compassionate with our pups, even the grumpy/wiggly one (he REALLY made her work and she gave him exceptional care)! Extra time was taken to make sure there were no sharp edges when finished, and after inspection I can honestly say this is the best trim they've had in a while: no nail left too long nor cut too short! read more

As a relatively new puppy owner, I was helped a lot by your staff. DJ helped me size a really nice kennel for my puppy and gave me wonderful advice. She also answered some of my other questions regarding food, shampoo, etc. Plus, my puppy got a toy she loves from here. Also, I had left my baby's paperwork here and it made its way back to me. I truly appreciate all of the help that I received on my first day as a puppy owner. The second time I came back, I was greeted really nicely. And I was helped tremendously. I wanted a little bit of help with potty training and grooming my puppy. FIrehouse Pet Shop had all the supplies that I needed at a great price. The staff help answer other questions I had as well. In addition to the wonderful help that I receive at Firehouse, my puppy gets a lot of attention. And she loves it! The staff and customers are definitely pet people and it shows. Firehouse Pet Shop, however, provided us with the BEST pet shop experience of all time. When my friend asked me to drive from Seattle to Wenatchee to pick up 2 puppies, I was 100% on board. I didn't know she didn't have any pet supplies at all before we left. We picked up the pups and then headed to Firehouse to get the basics. All I can say is that the staff are FANTASTIC! They helped us find everything we needed and were so kind while doing so. The customers were all wonderful people as well. It was like a big happy party in the shop. Never experienced anything like it. Experiences like this remind me that the world really is full of amazing, kind people. Y'all reaffirm my faith in humanity. If I could give 0 stars I would, but since that isn't an option - 1 star it is. Aiden and Allen, who I believe to be the owners or managers are absolutely disgusting and I cannot believe my experience. I am a lesbian and I don't hide this, in fact, I am married to a beautiful woman and she was with me when this occurred. We don't even live here but were visiting and needed a few things for our fur baby Delilah. Right when we entered they greeted us just fine and nothing seemed wrong until me and my wife were being very obviously romantic towards each other (holding hands, little cheek pecks nothing crazy) and instantly the vibe changed. As we were walking around we could hear them spewing vial things under their breathes to each other, obviously loud enough that I could hear it. I ignored it and bit my tongue so we could finish and get out of there quickly without drama. When we were ready to checkout, they proceeded to ignore us pretending to be busy or literally staring at their phone, until I finally got their attention by raising my voice. I heard one of them mumble under their breath a derogatory term I will not be saying here, and the other rolled their eyes and checked us out quickly. I was happy for it to be quick but it was still rushed in a rude way. I don't even write reviews but this was the most blatant homophobic experience Ive ever had in my 30 years of life. read more

I came back home to Wenatchee two weeks ago to help my parents around the house. Well, part of that helping consisted of me taking BOTH of their sweet (also naughty) little dogs to Firehouse to make sure they both had harnesses that fit, so they would be safe and comfortable going on walks. I, not being a dog owner myself, was a little out of my league as far as keeping them calm and finding what they needed. So, when the attentive and friendly employees asked me right away if they could help, I gladly accepted. The staff at Firehouse were accommodating, friendly and informative and helped keep the dogs and me calm the whole time (birthday cake dog treats are magic!). I left feeling totally totally confident that I could go home and make sure my parents were able to get them in their harnesses and go for happy walks. Hands down THE BEST pet store you'll ever find! If they don't have it you don't need it when it comes to dog stuff. An insane variety of dog treats, dog toys, dog clothes, etc. We were basically just passing through town and parked to take our dog for a walk and stretch our legs. Wandered into Firehouse and was amazed. I live in a town with 3 pet stores and these guys had more than I've found at all 3 pet stores combined and online stores too! Walked in an hour before closing to wash a puppy and our lab /husky mix. They said we wouldn't have enough time to wash both when we have before and finished in 45 minutes.
