Absolutely amazing motel!! Henry the owner was very warming. It is perfect for someone staying over while visiting Stevens Pass. Extremely clean, each room has a heater, a TV, clean bathroom, towel shampoo etc. We got the rooms with a private bath which was nice. They even serve breakfast and have an amazing TV room with board games. The breakfast is extremely well priced and filling. Highly recommend this and wi stay again. You can't book online since it is such a small place. It is more of a B&B. read more

Nice place to stay. Nothing fancy, European style lodging ( mostly shared baths.) Trains...I like them. Great price. Cafe and lounge attached, the blueberry pie was delicious. Another bar down the block, Stevens Pass up the road. read more

We have pretty much a bare piece of property near the Cascadia Inn. We've ordered food to go many times and it's always incredible! The owners are so kind and hospitable. I'd recommend them for sure. Try the French dip.....it will not disappoint! read more

After a long of hiking and climbing, my group needed to get our food and beer fix. We happened to be close to Skykomish and decided to give this place a try. We were seated quickly and our server, Shanelle, was super nice and funny. I had the itch for some wine and decided to try out one of their house cabs because after hiking you'll take anything. It actually turned out to be pretty good! We ended up sharing the specials they had for today, baby back ribs and pesto chicken. Both of which came with a salad. The salads were large and the lettuce was a little wet but they were food nonetheless. The pesto chicken had a unique pesto on it that Shanelle joked that she could drink a glass of. The ribs were good, but just a little on the dry side. The veggies that came with both were super good and after a day of hiking it was just what we needed. If you ever venture out that way, this is a good stop before the long drive home. read more

The mixed berry crisp was good and the bread pudding was fair. Coffee hot. Had to request napkins. We went to the desk to pay and the waitress got nasty when we mentioned the flowers at every window need replacing. (They were all dead, standing in slimy water.). Located in the town of Skykomish, Cascadia Inn is a good place to stop for a meal. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger with smoked Mac & Cheese, and green salad everything was good. The staff was friendly and accommodating when I asked if I could have grilled onions on my burger. read more

My brother is hiking the PCT and ran into bad weather north of Skykomish. He returned to Skykomish and we really hoped for a room at Cascadia Inn. Henry didn't think he had a room but called me back soon enough to let me know he found one. I'm told Henry does it all. Super efficient and friendly even though he puts in long hours. The cafe food is really good and the local residents interesting to talk to. So thanks Henry! read more

I was so happy that this place reopened. ( The town shut down to remove Burlington Northern oil saturated soil. ) Now the town is all new and businesses are coming back on line. The Cascadia Inn restaurant is all new, a very good menu and very good food with reasonable prices. The serving staff is most friendly and even willing to explain the process of having their town reconstructed. This is a town where TRAIN BUFFS visit and congregate. The old train station is the next building to be reconditioned. Trains come thru Sky 27 times a day, bring your camera and a good appetite. read more

This place is the lively spot on Skykomish. It's fun to see the locals lunch while playing cards. They have homemade fruit crisps in mason jars for dessert! It's a fun place for rail fans too. We stayed here last night, in room 10. It really stinks like pee. We could smell it leading up to the room, but as soon as you open the room door it hits you pretty bad. We had to get a candle to mask the smell, but it just smelled like pumpkin spiced pee instead. That really sucked but we just wanted to relax and rest, so I didn't complain because this is the only place to stay in town (plus we'd just been cussed at by the gas station attendant up the road for not having cash, not associated with the inn btw). The relaxing and resting did not happen. We got no sleep. The train comes by every hour and it is relentless. Bring ear plugs for sure. Not only that but, being an old building, individual rooms do not have air conditioning. It was way too warm for us and we had the windows open till we went to bed. There is a tiny fan, but the option to keep the windows open was ruined of course by the train. I really really wanted to like this place. Sorry owner guy, you seemed nice enough. read more

The burgers and the bartender were beautiful: things my friend and I did not expect in an old railroad tavern in a remote mountain town. I fully recommend this place for their bacon cheeseburger and the unique small-town, railroad, nostalgic atmosphere. For the cafe alone I'd give 4 stars. Hotel: Older place with only a couple rooms with private baths. The room was very small and sparse. It was in the 70's and the room was really warm. One window and a small fan helped a little. The bed was creaky and not comfortable. We would have been woken up by the trains anyway. Lots of them right outside. It was clean however and we didn't hear other guests, although I don't know if there were any. It was $85 for the room, which is a lot for what you get. Best part was Henry the owner. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! After a 3 1/2 day camping trip....so awesome! Good coffee The Soup du Jour" was "Cabbage Patch" basically a chili stew with cabbage in it . REALLY well done! I had the "Mahoney" chicken breast sandwich on a hoagie roll, bacon lettuce, tomato, avocado, melted cheese.... I am NOT a sandwich lover and I LOVED this! My hubby had the melted Swiss Turkey. Also top notch! Katrina was great, very nice and really great to talk to. Went here again and was again very happy with my stay here. The food is fantastic on the restaurant side, and the specials are a great deal. Friendly wait staff and good Americana eats to be had. It feels homey in the cafe, with the quiet atmosphere occasionally broken by a passing train. The lodging is adequate, homey, and intimate, with in this case are good things. Enjoy conversation with other travellers and enjoy complimentary WiFi in the lounge. Would absolutely recommend this business on both the hotel and cafe side. Stop here for breakfast on our way to Leavenworth, the restaurant is fulled but they only have one server. We've been waiting for 30 minutes for our breakfast and it is still not ready yet. My water for tea is lukewarm and the coffee was about the same. We do like the food here, I just wish the service is more efficient. Watching the poor lady running around pouring coffee, takes order, doing the cashier and everything else is too much for her. In the meantime we still waiting for our food!!! read more

I ordered a gardenburger, and when it arrived the patty was almost a liquid mush. I asked if it could be cooked more. A few minutes later the chef came out and stated their gardenburgers were home-made and often turned out mushy and raw like the one they had served me. The chef then came back with a replacement for the mushy gardenburger. It was a sandwich that consisted of two pickles, a slice of tomato, 2 slices of avocado, three mushroom slices and some lettuce. I was starving so I ate it, but it was like a tiny salad on a hamburger roll - there was no patty of any kind in it at all. When the server came back I pointed out the sad sandwich to her and she said nothing, just walked away. No discount, no apology. At least the fries were good. I would never recommend this place based on the quality of food and service I received. read more

While the Cascadia Inn certainly lacked no portion of defining "quaint," while the staff at the Cafe (which closes promptly at 5, eh hem) was kind if a bit rushed to leave, while the bed was comfortable, the hotel was clean, and the bedroom with private bath (optional but worth every penny) was nice although the drain was so slow my shower became a bath, there remains no question as to why people don't stay for the gorgeous views.... trains... All night, every hour, all night, four tracks, not to mention the front loader loading gravel into a stationary flat bed car at 6:45 AM... and then the gorgeous but sadly neglected historic hotel down the street... do not come here if you are looking for entertainment of any kind ... it is peaceful, quiet, and serene to look at... however, if you want the serenity to last, bring ear plugs... read more
