Always a delicious experience after skiing. I love battered fries, so Zeke's hits the mark. The corn dogs provide the perfect amount of nostalgia. Ordering at the window is a breeze as is waiting for my order number to be called. I went into the indoor seating area for the first time last week, and it's pretty cute! Stopped here after a long day of snowboarding. Gonna start by saying my butterscotch milkshake was worth the 5 stars. My friend got the chicken basket and she said she really liked it. I ordered a burger and fries, the fries were perfectly crispy and my burger was pretty tasty. They have some great service, very friendly and welcoming. Our group stopped in here on the way back from a hike. We were all starving and appreciated the quick service. It was super busy but they pumped out the food quickly. The food is typical hamburger joint style of food. We all loved our burgers and fries. Those who had milkshakes loved them too even though we had to wait for them to melt a bit to be able to suck it through the straw. Prices were reasonable for the portions. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area. They closed at 7 which seemed pretty early, especially with the large flow of people still pulling into the parking lot wanting to eat. read more

First off, the location was really nice. Being a decent burger spot before going through the pass, I was happy to say I can come here again. The food opinion below is my opinion based on what we got. Chicken gizzards: not great , for us too much flour. The burger with au jus: it was a little salty, and to dip it in au jus made it not worth getting the dip. The bread was nice and soft, and the burger patty was cooked perfectly. The bacon cheese burger: it was decent. Liked how we were able to add items to it that were available on the menu The rhubarb shake: one of the best milk shakes I have ever had. Zeke's is a must stop every time our family goes over the mountains on highway 2. We always plan our trip around stopping here for lunch! Hadn't been in a year or two, we went last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised that their prices have stayed SO affordable, which can rarely be said in this economy! We fed our family of 5 for under $40, which I call a WIN for eating a delicious lunch out. The food is consistently good. Service is quick, usually even when they're busy. If you just want french fries and a shake, this place is golden! Best ferries and super delish shakes! Unfortunately, most else has gone way downhill. Burger patties looked to be the pre-made frozen type and had no flavor. Buns weren't toasted and fell apart. Bacon was precooked kind and absolutely disgusting. Coleslaw swimming in its dressing. Fries were great and chicken strips looked okay (I did not try them). If the customer service was good I probably would have skipped the review. Service was good, do be aware that they prefer cash, but still accept card (Visa or MasterCard). Warning if you get food that is made wrong they will not make it right. Not only that if you talk to them calming and privately they will yell at you to embarrass you so they shame you in leaving. I asked for a regular cheese burger (Lettuce Tomato, cheese mayo and relish) to even be sure I asked the lady what comes on their regular cheese burger to make sure I understand. Immediate this young girl got an attitude and said "Well we have different kinds of burgers, doubles, BBQ, mushroom burgers!!!" (Not sure why she was aggressive from the very beginning. Maybe my attire or look triggered her) I replied "Oh no not those just a regular cheeseburger." She said "So you want a regular cheeseburger?" Me "Yes please." So I get a plain cheese burger with mayo and relish - Yuck! I brought it back thinking she thought I said a plain cheeseburger and not a regular cheeseburger. Thinking it is just a simple mistake. Instead of advising me that their menu has different levels of a classic cheeseburger no extra charge like a BBQ sauce and or a deluxe (Lettuce Tomato) which I had no idea that is what she meant and I even explained to her that I did not understand that. When I brought the now cold burger back and explained that I just wanted a fresh one with the lettuce and tomatoes she said no and began to yell at me and tell me that she explained this to me several times (Only once not several times to which I told her even then I did not fully understand) But as I showed her the burger and placed it in the trash since it was ice cold she told me I was not getting a corrected one and that I was dumb for throwing away a now cold burger that I was not going to enjoy. With the yelling, the disgraceful attitude from the beginning and the fact I paid for a meal I did not get to eat gives them a zero star from me. If they refund the money or offer a revisit I may consider a change in ranking. For now I do not recommend this place on principle alone for the business strategy they are using. (You get what you get and you'll like or it or you can leave) mentality. Update: I disputed the charge with my bank and they refunded me. Sad to see the money taken back from small business but to steal from locals is wrong too. read more

This is always my son's and my go to place when hiking on highway 2. We almost always get the deluxe elk burger. It's delicious and a great value! Their my milkshakes are really good, and we generally get the fried mushrooms as well, which are also great! A couple times we have opted for onion rings and a couple of other menu burgers/sandwiches and liked those as well. But we then go back to the elk burger! read more

Sadly, food quality has declined here over the past year. Not sure what's happened, but it's not the Zeke's of old. Sad really because I have many good memories of eating here over the years and I have spent who knows how much money here over 20 years plus--usually eating with groups. Seems as though the store crew may be new? And the place was oddly closed for a long time during the takeout only phase of the pandemic closures earlier this year. Other places in the area made their best effort to stay open and keep their employees employed. Not Zeke's. Maybe the owners just don't need the money and have lost the passion? Maybe that's what happened to the food quality? And the large Culp for governor signs aren't exactly appetite inducing or appealing. Huge political signs have no place at a food outlet. It's a sign of bad judgement that makes me question the management's judgement on day-to-day operations of the business. Maybe that's what's happened to the food quality? Anyway, there are several places along Hwy 2 now with better food--one or two in Gold Bar and two or three in Sultan. Heck, some of them are probably even Culp supporters, but they don't blast it all over their business properties with large signs. Seek those places out instead. read more

Until today, we'd never been over Stevens Pass! As both celebration and as part of our continued quest dm for the best burger in Washington, we decided to stop on in. We'd heard about this spot from a couple folks and found it was popular! After waiting about 10 deep in a line (that moved quickly) we got a double cheeseburger, an elk burger, onion rings, mushrooms and a PB/Chocolate/Banana shake. Prices were fair and reflect both the quality of product and the fact that it's made right then. The elk burger and double cheeseburger (BBQ style) were both very good. Good sized, great flavor and appropriate fixings. The swing and a miss was that each was missing something - on the double they forgot the bacon and on the elk, they forgot the cheese. Not mortal sins, but close! These are top 10% burgers and worth coming back for. The shake was probably one of the best we've had anywhere! Lots of PB and chunks of banana- Hooray! The onion rings were simultaneously some of the prettiest we've seen and probably the worst tasting (or lack of taste) that we've had. They were bad enough that I wonder if something happened - they didn't taste like anything which seemed weird for an onion ring. The fried mushrooms conversely were quite brilliant! When you come here, come hungry, order a shake, and double check stuff! Worth the trip and you'll be happy you stopped in. read more

We came here after our white water rafting morning which was only minutes away. Zeke's is right off the road and is pretty easy to find. There's a decent amount of parking as well. My friend and I shared the deluxe elk burger ($8), large fries ($4.25), battered + deep fried mushrooms ($3.75), and cole slaw ($3). The elk burger was good but it didn't taste that much different from a normal beef burger. If you didn't tell me what it was I would've assumed it was beef. The fries and the fried mushrooms were okay although the mushrooms were really juicy when biting into it. The cole slaw portions were big (they were in a plastic cup) and it was a nice cooling agent to the hot fried foods we were eating. It's a nice spot especially if you're in need of a quick and easy meal. A lot of the dishes were on the cheaper side as well. For a middle-of-nowhere burger place it was pretty good. read more

Zeke's was right up the road from our Airbnb so we stopped for lunch while exploring the area. They offer a convenient walk up window and both covered and outdoor picnic tables for seating. We tried a blueberry milkshake and the honeymoon special with Zeke fry sauce. The honeymoon special portion was certainly enough for two as advertised and prices reasonable. The fry sauce was the highlight though. It's .75 for a small cup but WAY better than your average thousand island 'special sauce'. Totally worth it and borderline addicting. We also snagged a pup-cone for our doggo on the way out, free with any purchase. I could see this being a very busy spot on summer weekends with not many alternative food options in the area and probably a must stop as you're heading back from camping facing a line of traffic with an empty cooler.
