There were three slices of pastrami spread across this sandwich.

Had the saddest pastrami on rye I've ever seen in my life. And it cost $19.99. The pastrami was tough and dry too.

Patty was so thoughtful and handcrafted my delicious sub with speed and perfection. I think all of these low reviews are for people who forgot to get sandwiches in Manhattan and pissed that their airport sub is not voted "the best of New York" lol

Waiting for a flight in Newark gives you time to explore the airport and grab a meal. There is this fancy place in terminal C where businesses have electronic ordering using an app, self check out and the estrange crepe place that becomes a wasabi Asian restaurant in minutes. I ordered a Bagel in this place and despite the sign "order here" all you find "here" is a QR code to order online, once you do you, of course you are asked for a tip before you have even talked to a person, when they called My name was to tell me some of what I ordered they actually did not have... I had a decent Bagel nevertheless but within few minutes around 10:25 am they started telling everyone breakfast was over... they were getting ready for lunch but the late comers did not have a chance to get anything even if it was still in display... well, the place is OK but the service and the experience was not... I guess they do not deserve more than 2 stars... may be only one but I am usually nice! The owners if there such a thing should te-think their business model...‍

I've never been to an airport like this where every restaurant averages 2 stars. Food: I ordered had the combo sandwich at this deli place. The meat was not bad but the bread was dry and not good. 2/5 stars. Checkout process: - Order on iPad to get ticket - checkout toward the front using ticket. TBH this is a slow process since it's confusing to people's Tip: If you're planning of flying Out of terminal 3 (United) from. Newark International Airport, eat before coming here.

This is 1/2 of the sandwich.

Pastrami sandwich was same size as small grocery store loaf of bread, and had 3 thin slices of meat, all for $16.50. You can make the exact same thing at home using ingredients from any supermarket. Go to the noodle place across the food court; portions were massive for only four dollars more than this.

Yikes. I knew I should have steered clear of Casciano's when I saw its 1.5-star rating on the Yelp app. Unfortunately, based on my appetite at the time, it looked like the most appealing restaurant option inside Terminal C (near Gates C70-99) at Newark Liberty International Airport. And of course, being in New Jersey, how could one go wrong with an Italian specialties restaurant? Very wrong, apparently. We were looking for something to eat for lunch and I was drawn to Casciano's sandwich menu. It appeared they had some good stuff when it came to meats (e.g. prosciutto, Genoa salami, meatballs, mortadella, soppressata, capicola), cheeses (e.g. fresh mozzarella, provolone), and breads (e.g. semolina hero, sesame roll, potato bread). There were over a dozen different sandwiches priced at $10.00 to $11.50 each. We also had the option to build our own sandwich. Ordering was done via touchscreen. We ordered one Godfather ($11, roast beef, buffalo mozzarella, tomato, garlic butter gravy, sesame hero) and one Italian ($11, prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, marinated eggplant, preserved tomato, pesto, sesame hero). BLECH. Despite being made to order, both sandwiches were very cold, hard, dense, salty, and simply not very good. From bread to meat, the only ingredient I thought was any good was the buffalo mozzarella and even then, it wasn't great. I don't know what was up with the ingredients. Everything tasted old, like leftovers that had been stored in a fridge past their expiration date. I'm not picky when it comes to eating and I'm actually pretty tolerant of mediocre to sub-par food. These sandwiches were worse than that. My girlfriend took one, two bites at most, of her Italian and immediately set it down and went back to the food court in search of something else. I, not wanting to waste food, tried to eat her sandwich and realized why she opted to trash it instead. It was awful. As a fan of eggplant, I found the eggplant in the Italian to be ice cold and borderline repulsive. I wasn't able to finish either sandwich notwithstanding my attempts to force myself to. Service was fine. There was a nice man assisting folks with the touchscreen ordering devices. We waited about 10-12 minutes for our order. There was a line and only two people working behind the counter preparing sandwiches. Payment was handled at self-checkout kiosks. If you're looking for food in this part of the airport, you're probably better off going to the burger joint, pizza joint, or the Vietnamese sandwich shop (Vo Banh Mi) nearby.

    Breakfast sandwich, The Belt!
    Jim Y.

Great storefront in the new Newark Airport United terminal, with high tech displays to enter orders, good menu board, and great pastry section. I ordered The Belt breakfast sandwich on toasted whole grain bread, which is a bacon, tomato, lettuce, and fried egg sandwich. I'm not sure if this can be ordered with mayo, but it's too dry, and if you're a calorie counter, this would work well for you. I am not watching calories as much as I want to truly enjoy what I eat, and this was too dry and the bacon was bacon but somewhat tasteless. The fried egg and sandwich overall needed a lot of salt and pepper seasoning. The coffee is a good full bodied italian roast. I will likely return to try something else, as they do have a lot of interesting items on their menu, both for breakfast and for lunch.

    Italian Sausauge Sandwhich
    Adam A.

I am learning that it can be challenging finding restauraunts in the New Jersey Intl Airport that will leave you feeling like you got good quality food at a reasonable price. Remember to use Yelp to check places before trying them there. Thanks to flight cancellations and delays I got to try Casciano for an unexpected airport dinner. I ordered the Itallian Sausage Sandwhich, mainly because the guys behind the counter said they were out of ingredients for all but two of the sandwiches on the menu. It costed $12.00 and was about 8-10 inches long. The role was soft and both the sausage and veggies were pretty good. I was satisfied with the food overall. Unfortunately the service was not very good. The staff seemed to have an attitude, likley because of having to tell customers over and over again what they cannot order due to being out of ingredients and where they had to go pay for their food. They have this weird system where you order on a tablet at their counter which prints out a ticket but then you have to take that ticket to a self checkout counter at a different location, scan it, then pay, then come back to their counter to pick up your food. Also, the wait time was a bit long. Also, there is no place to sit around this place. After getting your food you have to go search for a table with open seats around the gate terminals. If their service and process for ordering and paying were a little better I would give this place a 4 but right now it is just a 3 in my opinion.

Ordered a sandwich. The meat and cheese only covered about half the bread. Such a huge ripoff.
