Ordered through Uber Eats got a small drunken grandma pie with grilled chicken. The pie had great flavor the sauce was nice in creamy, could have used a tad more sauce. The grilled chicken had great flavor as well. The only reason I took off one star is because the bottom of the pie was burnt. I will be giving them another chance. This was my second trip to this place. Overall I still like it but my experience this time was not as good as my first. This time I had the Rigatoni with sweet and spicy sausage crumbles. I like spicy food but this was so spicy it was almost inedible. It wasn't just the spicy sausage. It was the entire dish. Service was good as were the other people's meals but nothing was "spectacular". Our friend tried the rice pudding for desert and was disappointed. She felt that it was too mushy with almost not evidence of rice and there was not much flavor. I guess everyone has their own taste when it comes to something like this so I can't be critical of that in this review. La Famiglia served me up a hearty, saucy and meaty lasagna. It was one of the best restaurant-made lasagnas I've had in a while! Of course I had to add a side of wings .. got the hot honey wings and requested them well done and they arrived as such. The wings were crispy, flavorful AND juicy! The entire meal was a hit!! Food was bad! & bathroom was disgusting!?? I had really bad waiter as welll they got my order wrong and didn't even bring me my drinks

We ordered dinner and had it delivered to our hotel. When I placed the order it stated utensils would be sent. Also, under special instructions I put send utensils please. Order came 15 minutes later than promised. I called the restaurant to say no utensils were sent. I was told "we ran out of utensils and that's why I didn't send any". I asked how we eat lasagna and veal parmesan with our fingers. She said I don't know that is your problem. We are out of utensils-that's it". Very poor customer service. My wife had a hankering for chicken parm and we decided to order from somewhere new. We got the chicken parm with garlic bread with mozzarella. Also got the habanero wings. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. Their was a lot of liquid in the container that watered down the sauce but it had a good flavor. The garlic bread was extremely garlicky but I did like it. The wings were ok. They are jumbo wings but without the sauce they lack flavor. All in all I'll try to eat in next time. read more

I was looking forward to experiencing it for myself. However, I was highly disappointed that both pizzas were burnt so badly that they were inedible. Nice little Italian restaurant/pizzeria. It's small and cozy. The service was excellent and they are very accommodating with the menu. They turned the grilled octopus appetizer to a dinner for my wife. My dad really enjoyed the linguine with clams and said he would come back again for that. I think the pasta dishes were the best. I thought the calamari and pizza were just ok (though I didn't eat then when they first came out fresh) but really enjoyed the entree. Private parking lot is a plus. We asked for water were pointed to a bottle of water on the table then received a $9 charge for the water. The food was good but far from spectacular In spite of the price. The credit card then added an additional 4 0/0. Even on the $9 water. So that makes it 9.25. Now add 20 percent tip and that water has cost $11. Had they offered regular water that would still be outrageous. But we were told if we wanted water to help ourselves to the bottle. and the bottle of plane water on the bill and that makes the water $11 For plain water I hate being nickel and dimed. I was very excited to try this place because I love the selection of their menu. We ordered the hot honey calamari and broccoli rabe with sausage for apps. The calamari was hard and the honey was watery and not hot at all. The sausage was good. For dinner I had the penne vodka with chicken and my husband had the sausage ravioli. The vodka sauce was like water and had zero flavor. The chicken was diced up so tiny you could barely even see it or taste it. The ravioli were supposed to be stuffed with sausage but they were regular cheese ravioli (definitely not homemade either). The service was good. The atmosphere is terrible. The yellow table cloths are ugly and the lights were so bright it feels like dining in a cafeteria. The neighborhood is also extremely sketchy. We did not feel safe driving there or walking to our car in the lot behind the building. We were there prime time on a Friday night and it was empty only one other table and only 2 people came in the pick up take out. My family owns and operates a pizza joint back in Saint Louis, so needless to say, I consider myself a pretty serious pizza enthusiast. I ordered the drunken Grandma pie with the vodka sauce. We added a couple extra toppings, but I am dead serious that this is one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. The flavor of the sauce is incredible. The crust is PERFECTION. For a place that has no Yelp ratings, I was a little unsure of what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was quiet for a Saturday night, as it appears they get a lot of business from takeout and delivery. It was a very laidback, casual vibe, which I appreciated. We ordered the fried calamari and a personal pizza with pepperoni cups and long hots. The fried calamari was excellent! The coating was light and crispy, and the calamari was super super tender. The marinara sauce it was served with was also very good. When ordering the pizza, we noticed the option to order extra thin crust. Because we wanted to try their standard pizza first, we ordered it as it came. The flavors were very good - the sauce and cheese and toppings were fresh and tasty, though I wish I the pepperoni cups had crisped up a bit more. I tend to prefer a thinner crust, so this particular pie was not to my exact preferences, but it was still very good for what it was - more of a doughy, soft crust. Next time, I'd definitely request the thin crust. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back here, but it's a nice place to try if you're in the area or catching a show at Paper Mill Playhouse. read more
