Not what I remembered of how they used to be. skimpy on the meat of the italian sub. They' are much better with their hot subs.

Horrible horrible customer service. I literally just walked out because of the clerks' attitudes. Never seen anything like it. No thank you.

My first order from the restaurant was a Turkey Sub with lettuce, pepper, salt, vinegar and olive oil or regular oil.

Very simple, nothing to it. I got an egg salad sandwich on a plain bagel. The egg salad was decent, as in an Ok option if in the area, I had to add salt. The bagel itself was VERY good. Soft & fresh. Owners and sisters-in-law Karolina and Ewelina introduced me to five of the most popular breakfast menu items. Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice: Take the name of this beverage literally. Multiple oranges are squeezed into the cup having a fair share of pulp and bursting with flavor. In addition to this drink, there are also a variety of lemonades that are made with freshly squeezed lemons. Lavender lemonade: It was hard to make a decision, but I ultimately went with the lavender lemonade. This secret concoction has a purplish appearance with a natural, earthy taste. Each of the three breakfast sandwiches I explored were served on bagels that are freshly made in house every day at 4:30 AM. Rainbow Bagel with Birthday Cake Cream Cheese: Here is a colorful way to start the day! As soon as you take your first bite, you are going to wish your birthday was every day so you can have an excuse to always order this specialty bagel. Taylor Ham Egg and Cheese: There is more than a fair share of taylor ham slices. The hash brown along with SPK were also great supplements to this classic sandwich! Originally, I was hesitant to try the marble rye bagel, but the added marble blended out the rye smell giving the bagel a delicious texture. Egg, Avocado, Tomato, Arugula, Cucumber: This is the perfect choice if you are in the mood to go vegetarian. The multiple vegetables are nutritious while still tasting delicious and the seasonings on the everything bagel provides additional flavor. As a bonus, all customers can purchase a half dozen bagels made the previous day for a generous discount at $4.50 per bag! It was a flawless dining experience. Special thanks to the owners and cooking crew for your fast friendly service. #bagelbar #rahwaynj #bagels #bagelsandwich #foodstagram #lavendarlemonade #freshsqueezedlemonade #freshsqueezedorangejuice #taylorhameggandcheese #rainbowbagel #familyownedbusiness #njfoodie

I grew up in Brooklyn surrounded by this style of deli and they are quickly becoming harder and harder to find, so I was happy to check it out. The exterior of the deli is a bit deceptive. From the outside it almost looks like it's a hole in the wall, but when you walk in you realize there is an entire dining area with plenty of tables and chairs to the right, with the deli counter on the left. Behind the counter is a large fridge unit with the bold logo of my favorite cold cut brand: Boar's Head (there's a sign in the window too). That is one surefire way to get my business. There were a couple customers ahead of me but boy, they move quick here! They were quickly taken care of and I put my order in: turkey and swiss with tomato and mayo on whole wheat bread. Yeah, it's not the most exciting sandwich in the world but it's one I enjoy. I also snagged a couple drinks from the drink fridge across from the counter. I took this order to go. About fifteen minutes later I was munching on the sandwich and it was perfect. It held together well (sandwich structural integrity is very important in my book) and everything tasted fresh. There was a good amount of meat and cheese and I appreciated that. I was very happy with my first experience at The Gourmet Deli and I look forward to going back!

Located on Alden Street in Cranford, this establishment has been serving the community since 1976, and my colleague and I have come as first-timers yesterday to The Gourmet Deli. They offer fresh mozzarella, homemade pasta, and sandwiches. Greeted by Dominick, the owner, we had the entire deli to ourselves, and our assorted sandwich platter and Greek Salad were ready for us. Their bread was fresh, the meat and cheese were superior quality and more than sufficient, and it was very tasty. As an added bonus, we got a sampling of his famous signature Angel Hair Garden Salad, which was to die for and alone was worth a trip, which we can recommend.
