I ordered the Italian sandwich, and it absolutely hit the spot. It was fresh, flavorful, loaded with quality ingredients, and honestly cured my hangover. Sometimes all you need is a really good sandwich, and Casetta delivered. The experience was made even better by the woman at the register. She was so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Casetta is one of those places where the food definitely lives up to the hype. The bread was fresh, impressive, and probably one of the highlights of the meal. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere has an industrial-rustic feel, but the large kitchen right in the center of the space really makes it stand out. You can see a lot of the action happening while you wait, which adds to the experience. Service is quick and operates more like fast food: you order at the counter, then they bring your food out to your table. Just be prepared for a potentially long line depending on what time you go. As for the price, I'm not sure my particular order felt fully worth it. That said, I think I may have made the wrong choice. If I had gone with one of their more adventurous sandwiches, I probably would have felt like it was worth the challenge of dealing with Madison Street parking. The sandwich had a good variety of textures throughout - my only wish was that the focaccia was also toasted. I think that would complement the sandwich textures even more. The coveted chocolate chip is *that* good. Thin, crispy edges, chewy center with flat chocolate wafer chips. The salt on top was a wonderful contrast to the sweet chocolate. You also can't beat the price of $2.25 for a good cookie. My only other complaint would be the limited seating. The workers here also try to provide table service and bring your sandwich out to you if you do dine-in. However, there isn't a system for them to find you at the table easily and they are just wandering around looking for you by name. We went to Casetta on a weekday afternoon, and it was super busy and packed. We ordered the Paradigm on focaccia, along with the chocolate chip cookie, which we received right after we finished ordering. I just want to say that this chocolate chip cookie is definitely in my top 10 cookies of all time. I loved that the chocolate chips were in wafer form, which allowed an even distribution of chocolate flavor throughout the cookie. The sea salt on top was a nice touch as well. It was also only $2.25! There is a bit of a wait for the sandwich and it might be hard to find seating, but the wait was bearable with the cookie. I will suggest that a numbering system might be easier, because we were a bit concerned on how they were going to find us, but it worked out in the end as they call out your name for the order. They also have a nice system of a "clean/dirty" sign on the tables, and the staff who helped us wipe the table and handed us our order was very nice about it. The paradigm sandwich was delicious, especially the roasted peppers, which added a nice flavor. I do wish the bread was toasted, however, but on its own, the bread was yummy as is. I can definitely see myself coming back to try their other sandwiches (and get the cookie again) if I am in the area. read more

It was a hot, sticky summer day, so a cold sandwich sounded great. I was stunned to see they line they had in their lobby upon arrive and know instantly we'd found a local favorite. Their menu is not extensive, but everything on it is of high quality and interesting pairings. They go beyond the basic club and turkey sandwich, with options that include prosciutto and spicy peppers, various sauces and the freshest bread. I stuck with my usual turkey...but theirs had pickles and a green sauce on it that made it next level. It was a massive sandwich, on soft, flavorful focaccia bread and I'm instantly obsessed. There was a little wait, to the point they can't take same day online orders, but it was well worth it. I have been back at least once more since and tried the Fried Green Tomato special, which was also killer. Love this place and cannot wait to try more from them in the future! read more

Great first experience! As others have said, the line can be long and you might need to wait for a table if dining in, but it is worth it. When I say this is probably the best sandwich I've ever had...I mean it. I got the manzo- and I don't normally go for roast beef. This wasn't your average run of the mill deli meat. This was fresh, thick pieces of roast beef. The spicy pepper sauce on it was 10/10 - and the focaccia bread was the perfect choice. This place is popular for a reason! When we arrived at 11:30 am there was already a line out the door. It moved very fast and we ordered less than 10 minutes later. They have quite a few options to choose from as well as two bread choices. Ultimately I decided to go with the turkey, chips, and a Diet Coke. We were able to get a seat inside but most of the tables were filled. We received our food within 5 minutes of sitting down and the server was so nice! This sandwich was gigantic! I've been wanting to come back here for ages, but I'm never really around and free during their very limited hours. I'd been here years ago and remember the sandwiches being enormous and magical. I finally made it happen and met a friend here for lunch recently. It's a cute space but very small and limited seating inside. Even at 1pm, it appeared we had clearly not beaten the crowd, but they have a bunch of larger tables just outside the store in the building's hallway. It was actually nice to have some space to spread out and it was still a really nice spot to hang out for a late lunch. Our staff member who greeted us and took our order was super nice and friendly, and since it came up in conversation, we obviously had to exchange our dog photos (nobody was behind us). Initially they'd told us they were out of the day's special (the "Sunny" -- roasted chicken thighs, cheese, sundried tomato petso, balsamic, and arugula... omg, right??), but someone then mentioned that had one left. Jackpot - I immediately ordered that and am very glad I did! My sandwich was a delight, even with getting the very last/leftover supplies to put on the sandwich. A small piece here or there of the chicken thigh was a bit dry, but it was literally just a bite and combined with the rest of the ingredients, it was a very fleeting moment. I would order the exact same sandwich with everything about it completely unchanged 100 more times. It was also a very wonderful portion size. I *could* have been perfectly satisfied and satiated after the first half of the sandwich. I looked at it as I thought these things, and then picked up the other half and ate it all with no regrets. This was actually my "breakfast," and I skipped my evening lunch as a result. I do love me a good sandwich, and any time I can find a good chicken-based sandwich I'm usually hooked... as I am now. I'm not even sure what my friend ordered but he had it consumed by the time I finished my first half, so I can only assume it was darn delicious as well. I've heard so many good things about Casetta and finally had the opportunity to go on a day off from work. I made an online order and got the paradigm with focaccia. My order was ready for pick up at the time I had requested. After picking it up, it sat for a little bit so I thought it might not be as good but I was wrong. The sandwich was delicious!
