I got ID'ed 3 times for 2 drink. I walked in the busser ID'ed me, okay fine that okay. I walked up to the bar to order a drink, the bartender ID's me, okay they are doing their job, and keep my tab open. I go up for a second drink while my tab is still open I get asked for my ID again, I inform them I have a tab open and have been ID by multiple people at this point. Get told I don't care if you have a tab open I need to see your ID again otherwise I will not serve you. All in less than 20 minutes. All while there were 10-15 people there and the bar was empty. Totally Whimsical! My partner came here for a drink before our last date night. Such a fun spot with eclectic decor! Madison needs more places like this! The vibes are spectacular, and make you just want to sink in and read a good book. I love this part of Madison!! The only thing to keep in mind, is that the drinks are a tad on the pricey side. I love this place. Right next to Settle Down, it's a cute quirky spot with amazing drinks, good vibes, and fun snacks! The Honey Coffee Martini and the House of Gucci Mane are two of my favorite drinks. A delicious espresso martini and a sweet brandy cocktail, respectively. I was in the area for something near the Majestic and came across this fun otter cozy spot. They have some freest unique twists on classic cocktails. I really enjoyed my old fashioned and if you don't see what you like just ask. They are more than willing to make you something not on the menu. Some snacks options available too. Super friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. Many of the ingredients are local and fresh. The basil was picked for their garden the same morning! read more

Oz by Oz is a new downtown bar located next door from the Majestic Theatre. It's a small little bar that gives off a New Orleans vibe. I ordered three House of Gucci Manes which includes Amaro, Raspberry, Fino Sherry, pineapple juice, and lime. The service was amazing and I plan to frequent here more often. read more

I was very impressed with the service and quality of beverages. I went to Oz with my girlfriend last week and the venue was completed booked on seating. The amiable waiter told us we could grab drinks at a nearby venue and he would notify us when seats were available. The waiter did follow through and provided us with lovely seats to enjoy some very unique cocktails. I really appreciated that level of service. The drinks were affordable priced ($10-$15 dollars per cocktail) and were pretty strong/flavorful (bang for your buck!). Overall, would recommend because of the service, chill/dim ambiance, and strong drinks. read more

Fully firing "ok" on all cylinders. A little pricey considering it is not relaxing or in any way comfortable. Cramped and a little frenetic with kitschy but uncomfortable furniture. Reasonably creative cocktails and a higher end bar that falls in line with all of this group's other bars in town. Friendly staff made up for shortcomings. read more
