    Salad bar
    Angela S.

We absolutely loved this place when we were here before for brunch buffet on a Saturday (no review). Came back for a quick lunch midweek and fit the buffet (how can you pass up the salad bar & all other options for $15??). Unfortunately our server didn't seem to care we were there, waited until my husband got his second plate to bring drinks. When we were done we waited another 10 mins before seeing her pop out from the back, waved her down for our check. And she still took another 5mins to come back with it. It's attached to a hotel so expect lots of foot traffic & business people. But the vibe still is classic, clean & casual. I hope we have a better server the next time we go back so I can up my review from 3 stars...

Excellent salad bar for weekday lunch

CIRC is a great choice for a fast and delicious weekday lunch. Order the salad bar, and you get so much more: soup of the day, bread, hot "entree" of the day, dessert and a soft drink. When I ate at CIRC, the soup on the salad bar was Beer Cheese Soup. The soup was outstanding! Hot and cheesy with chunks of bratwurst. Even better, it was all you could eat! My husband is not a salad person, so he ordered a Shaved Prime Rib French Dip. He opted to upgrade the side to cheese curds. Both the sandwich and curds were very delicious and arrived quickly. Lunch was a big success for both of us! Free underground parking for lunch patrons is a huge bonus, too.

My coworker recommended Circ and it's a hidden gem. This past weekend I met up with some friends for brunch and it was amazing! 10/10 on service, cleanliness, and quality. I ordered the Short Rib Benedict which includes poached eggs, caramelized onions, smoked paprika hollandaise topped on a toasted croissant, and breakfast potatoes. I asked for a toasted croissant over a toasted English muffin as I am not a fan of muffins. Pro Tip: Circ is located at the Madison Concourse Hotel and parking is free if you park in the ramp. They serve bottomless mimosas for $12.00 per person. Brunch is Saturday and Sunday from 11AM until 2PM. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will be back again.

Awesome spot for a Madison lunch. The salad bar always has an amazing selection. I love the lunch menu as well. The turkey panini is the best and very filling! Servers are always attentive and it's a very clean and fresh ambience. Will be a frequent visitor here.

    I call this perfectly cooked.

Amazing amazing amazing. The food is unbelievable fantastic. The service is friendly and the atmosphere just scream great!

At first, I was skeptical about giving CIRC a try. The restaurant is located inside of a very ritzy hotel, and I assumed that the prices would reflect the facade. But one day, I decided to throw caution to the wind. Best decision ever! I don't think a day has gone by that the servers at CIRC haven't seen me. They've got a great lunchtime deal: all you can eat soup and salad for $13. And you can get the soup by itself for just $3!! Isn't that such a steal?! An assortment of vegan, cheesy, hearty, soups to choose from, and an array of salads, snacks and sides you can combine into a delectable meal. Finally, if you've only got 30 minutes for lunch like me, fear not - the servers are super accommodating. They'll bring you two containers, and you can fill them up till your heart's content. Any and everything is up for grabs. Every day for lunch I'm: in, out, and happy. I want you to be, too! Enjoy :)

I love this place simply for its Wisconsin beer cheese and andouille sausage soup, which I only find on the lunch salad bar menu. The salad bar is my preferred go to when I come here, and it's filled with your typical salad items along with some pastas, crudités and delectable desserts. Skip the big fancy restaurants and stop in at CIRC for some quick and filling lunch from the salad bar (not sure if they do weekend salad bar though).

This is a great restaurant. It is a hidden jewel in the Concourse Hotel in Madison. The food is superb. My wife had the Sea Bass, preceded by a cup of the carrot ginger soup. I had the New York Strip Steak, preceded by the baby green salad with blueberry vinegarette dressing. I asked for some olives and tomatoes in the salad which made it extra delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection at medium and the string beans were wonderful. My wife loved the Sea Bass. The bread was homemade and excellent. The glass of wine that my wife got, a chardonnay was much more full than in many restaurants. The meal was so outstanding, we didn't feel the need to have dessert, although the selection looked great. I give this restaurant 5 stars. It's not inexpensive, but not overly pricey either. The service was really friendly and good. The ambiance was casual, relaxed and mellow. If you are smart and you are in Madison, you will thoroughly enjoy your dining experience at Circ.

I stayed at the hotel with friend for a concert Saturday and Sunday we did not feel like driving for breakfast so we decided to try this place out. We were told a 20 minute wait which was fine we had 8 of us. The lack of star is because we legit had to wait that long then when we checked in they told us another 20 minutes on top of our first wait. When we told them we were going to just leave they then seated us right away. It was strange service in that regard. The lox, avocado toast with sauce was really tasty. The salmon portion on it was large an the sauce was light yet creamy. My husband rather enjoyed the buffet and the waitress was attentive refilling drinks and such quickly. I liked the food quality so I would recommend them over all.

Our waiter gave us great tips in navigating the menu and experiencing the variety - and it could not have been a more special experience celebrating my brother's 60th birthday with my 91 years old dad. They have 3 Old Fashion options - we tried 2 and they were both rock solid. The ravioli and trout almandine are savory entrees that didn't disappoint. The baked potato is an innovative cloud pleaser but highly recommend sharing. And don't sleep on the onion soup - I've never experienced anything like it. The smell that emanates when you first pierce the creamy foam layer will make you say 'whoa.' Will definitely return.

The restaurant was beautiful and the service was amazing. I appreciated that our waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu and what ingredients they contained, which is perfect for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions (like myself). We were seated near the open kitchen which also added to the dining experience. I tried: - Scallop toast - I really enjoyed this. It was mild, not fishy tasting at all, and the brioche was toasted very well. I'm not a huge seafood person aside from sushi and poke, and had never had scallops before, so I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. - Ricotta Raviolini - I was not a huge fan of this, which was especially disappoint since it was my main entree / the most expensive on this list. It was essentially a folded sheet of pasta with a tiny bit of ricotta, topped with barely cooked asparagus and snap peas. The menu also lists lemon infused olive oil, but I didn't taste that at all. The parts of the raviolini with a good amount of ricotta were delicious, but the dish overall was bland and tasted like raw asparagus and peas. My friends also tried it and none of them liked it either. - Baked Potato with The Works - super simple and perfectly executed. It comes with bacon, which we got on the side since I don't eat red meat. Potato was fluffy and salted perfectly, with a good amount of other toppings. My friends who do eat bacon said it tasted more like ham than bacon, and they actually preferred the potato without it. - Dark Chocolate Bread Pudding - Loved it. I love bread pudding and chocolate pudding, but never thought to combine the two. It was delicious - soft, not super sweet, and great portion size. I would recommend sharing, it's pretty rich which can be overwhelming at a certain point. - Flightless Bird mocktail - this was one of the best mocktails I've tried. It has a black tea base but tasted more like a regular cocktail without the alcohol burn rather than tea. Everyone at the table enjoyed trying it too. Despite the raviolini being a miss, the rest of the food, service, and ambiance made this such a wonderful dining experience that I can't wait to come back and try more.

I am not on the hot honey frenzy train, but I tried it and thought it paired well, just wasn't for me. The ranch was tasty though. Even the happy hour portion was hefty and I couldn't put down half. My husband and I both had salads and the bowl was too small for the salad but it was a decent salad I do wish the cheese was sprinkled on top as it ended up going to the bottom of the bowl. For an entree I had steak frites. Fries were solid and the cooking of the steak was good with the charcoal but it didn't have much flavor. The chard on the side was also good considering I've never had it. For dessert we had the valentine special chocolate cake and again it was good but nothing super special. We didn't stick around the bar too long but enough to get a winning pull tab. I would come back for the bar tenders they seemed chill.

I ordered a strawberry spritz and we shared the gluten-free donuts to start. A huge win for the celiac community is that they have a dedicated fryer, so we also safely shared the truffle fries. For our main entrees, I had the fried rice which was excellent. My husband ordered the skirt steak hash with gluten-free toast and loved it, though it is worth noting for others that it packs quite a lot of spice. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive regarding the allergy protocols.
