Been here a couple of times now. Cool atmosphere when you walk in. Everyone's very welcoming. Appointments preferred but walk-ins are welcomed especially on a weekend. So far haven't gotten a haircut I didn't like and am glad to have found this barbershop after getting cuts at local barbershops hating the haircuts I have received. This place is cash only. Wow, where do I even start. Casey's Barber Shop is the best barber shop in Monrovia. I am able to schedule an appointment with Casey a couple days in advance or day of my appointment. I walk into the barber shop and I am greeted by Casey's big smile. At first, Casey looks intimidating but behind that beard, is a gentle giant. I sit down in the chair and Casey ALWAYS knows what I want. Sometimes I change it up on him but he always has me walking out fresher than when I walked in. All the other barbers are very nice, which makes everything 10 times better. I have been going to Casey ever since he opened 3 years ago. This is an awesome shop, they do take walk ins, but you have to wait a long time if you do, i learned that the hard way the first time I went in. They are really efficient and punctual with scheduling and will have you in and out of there in about 30 mins. This place is the bees knees! Lol I get a cut every 2 weeks and a beard trim once a month. Casey is very straight forward and a fantastic barber, which is why I book him to cut my hair every time. Had the worst experience at the barber shop today with Casey. He started arguing with people out front regarding parking rather than attending to his loyal customers. Said he would purposely screw up my haircut because of his lack of self control and ended up doing just that. It was my first time at this place and saw the reviews were good so I was hopeful that whatever barber I got he would do a good job.. well I was wrong. Came in on a Saturday and was relieved to see the place wasn't busy. So right away I got someone to cut my hair. Long story short this dude didn't care to take his time. I could just feel he wasn't getting every part of my hair and I confirmed that when I looked in the mirror after the cut. I had to tell him to fix a part of my hair that was so obviously messed up I knew I had to do a real good look again before I left. When I got up the second time to check in the mirror, before I could even say anything he told someone else that was waiting to sit down in the chair that I was in. I know for a fact this guy isn't new because everyone knew him, he just sucked, and it shows on my head.
