Who the hell hurt these people yo. I came here a couple years ago and it wasnt terrible so i entrusted these people with the most important aspect of me. And they do me like this? This is messed up man. Im in the military, and im not saying this because i expect special treatment. But because when i go back to work tomorrow im gonna expierience the worst roasting known to mankind. Please if you're thinking about coming here. Do yourself a favor and cut your own hair with a blindfold on. OH and i forgot they actually thought it was ok to charge me 30 dollars for something i couldve pulled off with a rusty razor thats been sitting at the bottom of a lake for at least 10 years. His attention to detail, friendliness, and price-point are more what you'd expect at a studio or salon. You're going to pay a few dollars more for one of Alfonso's cuts, but you're going to like it and you're going to want to tip him. Go ahead and give him a big tip, he's worth it! Heck, there is nothing more satisfying than giving the tip as a reward for a job well done! I generally give him too much of the tip, but he just takes it and smiles. I came in for a walk in asking for a high tapered cut and even showed the lady 2 pictures for reference of how I wanted the front back and sides to look. I came to this place because I was in need of a haircut and they accept walk ins. This place is clean but very small. They only have 2 chairs but luckily it wasn't so busy at that time and Dolores was able to accommodate me. We had a language barrier but everything was good because my haircut turned out good. She's very professional and friendly. I had a bad experience with a woman cutting my hair but she was good. I didn't have to cut my hair again when I got home lol. This lady completely butchered my sons hair. My mom took him for a hair cut before his baptism and the lady kept cutting and cutting and cutting my mom said that's good, that's ok, that's enough but she kept cutting and cutting and cutting. Finally my mom had to yell at her and say STOP!!!!! IT'S TOO SHORT!!!! He literally had a bald striped patch across the back of his head just below the crown for MONTHS. Let me start off by saying the people running the shop seem like nice enough people, hence 2 stars. So it's not easy leaving a negative review like this, but feel it is my civic duty to the public. And this review is specifically for the woman barber. As it so happens my regular stylist was packed with appointments so I needed to look for an alternative. So I found this place close by my house... If you are a male customer that values style and precision in your haircuts, by the love of God stay away from the woman that works here. I believe her name is Dolores. All hair clippers should file a restraining order against this woman. I asked for a fade on the back and sides that go straight up. She said "ok" so fair enough...then she went to town like a lawnmower on meth and proceeded to give me the hack job of the century. Before I even had a chance to say anything she had hacked off way too much off the top half and I was left looking like an Asian cholo with a patch of hair on the top. Very poor look for a working professional such as myself. I am even embarrassed to go out in public without a hat at this point. I am not one to make a scene so I paid and even tipped and left. I've been coming here for quite a while, and I'm certain that I will continue. Today I went to get my hair cut and the shop was closed. It's Tuesday, and the sign on the door says they open at 10:00am. I arrived at 11:00am and the door was locked, nobody was inside, and when I knocked, no one answered the door. This is not some knee jerk reaction where I'm just complaining right away. This has happened several times in the past. My schedule is very busy. If I carve out time to come here to gat a haircut, and no one is here, it's a waste of my time. Just took my 7 year old son for a haircut. I can only assume the woman that cut his hair is Dolores. She did a fantastic job, yes, she was a bit curt on the phone but it's just a language issue, don't take it personally. My son has curly hair, he wears it short on the sides and medium/long on top because he has curly hair that stands up straight if it's cut too short. She did a great job: the sides had a very nice fade and the edges were super clean and tidy, the top was even and blended in nicely with the sides. My son's hair looks amazing. I thought it was a bit pricey, $30, for a kid's haircut but it was worth it and I will be going back. A note about COVID: they only have two chairs in the salon, everyone wore masks and they disinfected the chair and tools after each customer so I felt very comfortable that it was safe to get a haircut there. read more

I want to share my experience with this Barbershop and this barber by the name of "Alfonso"; and who ever reads this review can decide if this is someone you want to deal with or trust to cut your hair?. First this shop does not seem to have any prices posted as to what the cost of a haircut even is?. I called this shop over two months ago I spoke to Alfonso and I described exactly what I needed was a Sisccor hair, not a buzzer or with scissors that have comb end, I also asked the cost of color if I bring my own color. He seemed nervous or confused, he gave 3 sets of prices in just under a minute and he still didn't seem he was even sure what was correct but what I failed to notice is that he was just bouncing prices at me to see which one I would pick. I was still hesitant to go see him, but he was referred from someone I know from my Gym. so the price he gave me over the phone was $65 for haircut and color; which I felt was still hi for a Barbershop? I did visit with him four times in the last few months and each time he cut my hair a little different and still used items that I specifically requested not such a Buzzer and the scissors with comb end that actually thins out my hair and make it stand it up. This last time I was there was on Monday Nov 25th, this time he started with few clips of the scissor and then rushed to do a quick job with a buzzer, as he was cutting my hair a customer came in to ask how much was a haircut, he replied $30 that includes color. I was really surprised of that price?!..then I asked him so am I paying more a lot more when I am bringing my own color?. He was just silent at first then he started to explain something that again didn't make any sense to me? Then he said: " I actually gave you a discount for $60, because you are bringing your own color". I was even more confused because I have been paying him $65 plus $7 tips every time for the past 3 months and he never ever mentioned that I was paying him too much or even tried to give me back what I was overpaying him. I didn't want to get upset but he rushed my haircut this last time. Alfanso was so embarrassed that he would not even look into my face when I said good-bye to him after I paid him again paying $12 extra over the rate he had given because he got caught in his own lie. I called two days later because I was not happy with how he cut my hair this time, it was much longer on top, all I asked for a trim and right away he started talking over me and being LOUD AND RUDE.? I told him to calm down, I was not asking for a refund but for a trim and fix what he did, he cut me off and he said I call you back. When he did call me back he started again getting rude and way out of line, making up lies, that I should look for another hairdresser that his work never seems good for me? I asked him when did I ever call you back in the last few months to complain? he didn't answer. I asked him didn't I tell you from the first time please don't use a buzzer and I want a scissor cut? I am paying you all this money and you just want to do what you want to do. And you have overcharged me over 3 months and never once did you try to mention that I paying you too much, don't you think that's dishonest and wrong? . He woud not even let me talk or listen he just hanged up on me twice and blocked my number?. Made an appointment with Alfonso for 8:00. He asked for my phone number and reiterated that it was for 8:00 am, not pm. Showed up in front of the shop at 7:50, no Alfonso. 8:00, no Alfonso. 8:15, still no one at the shop. Called their number, went to voicemail. 8:20, I left. Called again at 9:00 and 9:30, no answer. Called again at 3:00, just to be sure I didn't make a mistake. Alfonso answered and said he arrived 5-10 minutes after 8:00, but I wasn't there. I told him I was there until 8:20, and he could have at least called me. He said "Oh, well you can come in now if you want." I told him "Oh no, I will not be coming in, ever". So unprofessional. Don't screw up and then lie to me. Not even an apology. It looks like he can cut hair, but I'm not putting up with that kind of shitty service. read more

It's a great shop to get your hair cut. There's nothing factory about this. The quality is better than any of the chains. My style demands are fairly low: keep it off the ears, clean on the back of the neck, enough left on top that it doesn't look chopped and can still comb/brush it. Either of the barbers there do this with class. I prefer to go there in the early AM, when they open. But, I've gone there in the afternoons, and over the last 3.5 years, I've had to wait almost an hour once or twice. My point is that if you go early, sometimes even an hour before closing, you are likely to walk in and sit down straight away. A really quality cut for a reasonable price. read more

There are more negative things to say about this place than positive but I will keep it simple, straight and to the point. The price isn't very great, you can find better deals elsewhere at $13 per cut. Same price for adults and children which as a parent isn't really a good deal. The guy there is good and for an adult is worth the $13 however, the lady that works there is not good at all. To say the least she hacked my kids hair for one, and they came out with a bunch of cuts on their neck. The lady, you can tell does not have talent for this business. She does not look happy doing her job. Coming from a person who has been frequenting barbers shops since the age of 5. This place is a BIG NO. I came in right at 10am for a quick shave and a haircut and although the straight razor option wasn't available at that time, I got a FANTASTIC shave with the electric razors and scissors. I have been going to this barber shop since before the current owners took over so when it changed hands, I was a little hesitant but...what the heck, I was already there. I have been coming back ever since. My haircut is VERY simple and I have them trim my moustache, but they do a great job! Simple haircut, but they are meticulous! I prefer Alfonso, but if he is not available I know I am in capable hands with his mother. There was quite a wait one day so I went to another barber...BIG mistake! Came to this barber shop after recently graduating college and moving back to my hometown. Scheduled an appointment with Alfonso by giving him a call. Alfonso was ready to cut my hair right on the dot of when my appointment was booked which was awesome. Alfonso was extremely friendly but more importantly gave an amazing cut. He had an extreme attention to detail when cutting my hair and listened to what I had to say about how I wanted it to look. I asked for a faded taper with a combover on the top and he pulled it off with perfect execution. He took his time to make sure my hair looked great and did not cut any corners for the cut. I don't often give poor ratings but really this was horrible. Maybe there are other barbers here who can do better but when I came, the only one was a middle aged woman. I forgot her name but she was sweet. But I seriously don't think she knew what she was going. She went back and forth so many times between the clippers and scissors I had a feeling she made a mistake and was trying to cover it up - sure enough when she was done, the haircut was much shorter and uneven than I had feared. Alfonso has been cutting my hair for many years. He is meticulous and thorough. Yes he takes his time with everyone because he treats everyone the same. He is polite but not a rambler. His mom has cut my hair once... ONCE... 'Nuff said. They have had the place remodeled, pretty nice, and the price is no longer $13.. It's $16.. But well worth it. I needed a haircut and the woman who usually cuts my hair got a different job and is not cutting hair anymore, so I figured that I'd give this place a shot. Unfortunately, the open chair was the woman of this duo who work here. She did all her work with me facing away from the mirror so I couldn't watch the progress and catch when she took too much off the top. She also didn't speak a word to me after I explained that I wanted it short on the sides and longer on top. I even held up my hair and showed her how long I wanted it. She cut too much off the top, now I look like a white cholo. Not a good look for me. If I return to this shop I'll wait for the guy (Alfonso?). Also the price is not $14.
