Relatively new to this barbershop. Got about 5 haircuts in a couple of months, but today is my last visit. I come on time to all my appointments and I'm still waiting anywhere from 15-30 mins because the barber is still finishing up, wants to eat or has a phone call. The moment I come 8 minutes late to an appointment he puts someone else in the chair. When I arrive all he has to say is "Your spot got took". It's a shame, because I was starting to become a loyal patron of the shop spending $80-$100 a month on cuts netting the business a dependable $960-$1200 a year. To throw a loyal customer away for a quick random walk-in doesn't make any sense, especially how patient I've been during my other appointments. Finding a good barber is not hard, so customer service and respect has got to be there, yet It's not. He is very experienced and knows his stuff. My haircut and beard trim were great! Make sure to book an appointment even though walk-ins are okay. Take note that this place isn't a quick snip and go kind of place. My treatment took around 40 minutes, which I wasn't expecting, but did not mind after seeing the outcome. I was looking for a good barber in the SGV and a friend told me try Simply Divine Barbershop... I'm glad I did. I have a trip coming up and was pressed for time. The shop closes at 6pm (one site says 7pm). I called at 6:45pm to see if they could see me before closing for the day. I informed them I was commuting from Pasadena and didn't know if I would make it. I was given a barber's cell phone number and was told to call once I was near. I called but no answer. So I took a chance and drove by. The lights were on, so I decided to stop. Low and behold, the barber was still there. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Dre and Art. Art was done for the day and Dre told me, he'd take care of me. And boy did he. Even though it was after business hours, I was treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. As a woman, we sometimes feel a certain way going to a barber shop. That was not the case. Dre did a great job on my cut and granted what i requested. On another note, Art was amazing as well. I was accompanied by my 2 daughters (young adults) and Art gave them a history lesson...heck me too. Called at around 9:30 and due to it being Friday I ended up scheduling cuts for the both of us at 2:30 and 3:30 pm. Dre was the barber who cut my hair and he's a master crafter in my book.
