I always have an idea of what I want, but when it comes to verbalizing it, it does not make sense as I'm hearing it out loud. For that reason, I always get nervous about how my haircut will turn out. I scheduled my appointment on a Saturday around 2:30 PM. For parking, there wasn't any parking in the front of store at the time. I decided to park at the corner of Elm Ave and walked over. I'd recommend coming early if you're going on the weekend to ensure there's amount time to look into the parking. As I arrived, the check in was very straightforward and easy. Jane was expecting me and was ready to consult on my hair. She was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of advice throughout the visit. I left with the exact hairstyle that I wanted! Sean, who is actually a new stylist here, cut my hair. He did an excellent job! He has a good eye for style and was able to give me a medium taper from my overgrown hair. What I like about Sean's cutting style is that the vast majority of time he spent cutting my hair was using sheers - a true mark of a great stylist. He took his time creating the tapering in my sides and gave it depth and clean edges. Overall, I was really happy with my cut. I read good reviews on Eddie's Edition and booked a same-day appointment on Monday. This is one of three branches (Pasadena, Art District, and San Gabriel) for Eddie's Edition. [Fees]: Men's haircut is either $45 or $60 (price depending on stylist - tax included). Customers can check price and book their favorite stylists on the website. The website has IG links for all stylists and you can browse their IG pages & pick the one you like. Ultimately I decided to book an appointment with Celine for $45 (tip not included). [Parking]: Easy free street parking. [Service]: I came few minutes late and Celine was ready to go the moment I stepped into the barber shop. I asked about taper fade and she showed few sample pictures via her Instagram. Eventually I went with #1 and I was pretty satisfied with the end result. The process started with 1st round of hair wash, 1st round of haircut, 2nd round of hair wash, 2nd round of haircut, drying hair, and styling hair with Milbon gel/wax (smell alright but not as good as Johnny's gel/wax smell from Dat DG Hair Salon). I didn't have a small talk with Celine which also happened to be my personal preference. I could tell she paid extra attention to details so I definitely appreciate the effort. No sports TV here. Honestly $45 (plus tip) was the most expensive haircut I have ever had at this point of my life and this is not the place I would go for a routine haircut; however I would come here whenever I need to get a premium haircut experience before any special events. This review is for yuumi. I'm not sure if she still works there. But about a year ago, she was cutting my hair and she accidentally shaved off half my eyebrows without realizing. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it is kind of horrifying because even after a year, my eyebrow never grew back the way they used to be. I'm missing about 1-2cm of eyebrow hair that used to be there. As a male, it's not like I can use makeup to fix or cover up the damage. I like the fact that is best if you make an appointment with the specific stylist before you go. Unlike Sports Clips where you make the appointment online but still have to wait when you get there because if the stylist you pick takes a walk-in you still have to wait for them to finish before they get to you. At Eddie's no one is waiting and as soon as you walk in the stylist is ready for you. They also wash your hair before and after the cut which is why I love this place. Needed to find a new hair stylist/barber in the area because the one I used to go to is in Ktown and the guy was getting too old and his hands would shake when cutting your hair From reading reviews and looking at some pictures, I decided to book an appointment with Lianne, and so glad I did! Wanted her to help fix the hair part I had and just let her do whatever she thought would fit with what I liked. Would definitely come back again and book again with Lianne.
