My wife was meeting us there and arrived literally two minutes later, at 2:10 PM, only to be told the buffet was closed and that the food remaining on it was no longer considered good enough to serve. That raises a pretty obvious question - how was the buffet perfectly acceptable for me to purchase at 2:08 or eat from at 2:09, but somehow substandard at 2:10? If the buffet was effectively closing, that should have been clearly communicated before taking my money. At the very least, once my wife was refused access two minutes later, I should have been offered the opportunity to have my purchase refunded. I wasn't. This isn't really about two minutes. It's about basic communication, consistency, and customer service. We came in expecting to have a meal together as a family and instead were left with an experience that felt both unreasonable and completely avoidable. I won't be bringing my family back to this location, and unfortunately that will include the sports teams and groups we are involved with as well. There are too many other businesses that understand the value of treating families and customers fairly.
