Frustrated by Lack of Notice on 21+ Policy…read more We drove down from Appleton to hear a friend perform with the Jazz Orgy and were excited for a night of live music. After paying for parking and walking in, we were told we had to leave because we're under 21. Legally, we've since learned that Wisconsin doesn't allow anyone under 21 in bars without a food license -- so the venue was within its rights. But there were no signs, no online notice, and no mention in the event info about this policy. We weren't there to drink -- just to enjoy the music and support a friend. I understand the legal restriction, but the lack of communication made the experience frustrating and disappointing. A simple heads-up on the website or social media would have gone a long way.
