Not our first time here. However, first time with bad service. The server kept forgetting about us and our order. We had to ask her about it. She realized she forgot about it. Her name is Chandler. Rather than saying, "Hey, I'm sorry for not paying attention...". She did the Gen Y thing of "if I pretend it didn't happen - it didn't." She kept blowing us off. The reason for such a bad review is out waitress was one of the worst I've experienced in 56 years of being on this planet. She was a 20 something tall skinny with black long hair. Went to the bar tonight and had a horrible experience with the staff being unprofessional and rude. I paid to play my music on the machine there, which so happened to be Korean music and I think that has a part behind this. In the middle of the song, a staff member comes over and shuts the entire machine off (as instructed to) to play the game instead. No warning, no apologies or offer of compensation, just straight shuts the entire machine off mid song in front of our faces. I had to go up to the staff themselves and ask for my money back, which they did comply afterwards but it's about the principle and the way it was handled. If this wasn't a targeted racist action, and if music wasn't allowed to play during this time why wasn't the machine turned off ahead of time? read more

WOW- let me just say I am so happy there is a bar in existance that actually makes celiac-friendly fried food! I have never once in my life been able to have fried food without getting sick until THE BAR!! Staff is always nothing short of friendly and sweet- and the gluten free cheese curds and onion rings, and mozz sticks are out of this world!! They are also very accomadating with their drink selection and special drinks requests. I really hope they never get rid of their gluten friendly appetizers and fryer!!:) read more

We were here for the Waupaca Boatride volleyball tournaments. For our purpose, we liked the facility for their indoor sand courts which they just added sand to. Before I would have given the place a lower rating because the sand was like clay, very hard surface to play on but now it's much better. They also have a few outdoor courts as well. The restrooms are always kept up and well maintained. During the tournaments, the bartenders are very attentive, filling pitchers of ice water for the players. The draught beer selection was rather weak, but they had a larger bottled selection. We got the burgers for food, which were good. It appeared the patties were fresh. We stopped here after a search for a celiac friendly restaurant on our way home from a dance competition. Well, my daughter was in heaven. She doesn't get fried food very often so she went all out with mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and French fries! It was all delicious. I got the California burger. The patty was a little on the small size for the bun and toppings. I want the beef to stand out above the topping! Not sure if something changed since 2015/2016 but this place is a pretty great place to get drinks and food and I have enjoyed everytime I have come here or gotten food delivered from here. Food- Food is a lot better than your typical bar food. I've had the wings (boneless and bone-on) and they have always tasted great with just the right amount of sauce. The sandwiches are good as well. They also have waffle fries or criss-cut fries as they call them here. Always delicious no matter where I get them. Drinks- They have a full bar. Drinks are always made well if I get a mixed drink but they always have beer as well and a happy hour. Service- Service is great here. Never go too long without being checked on to make sure everything is good. Food comes out quick and even gets delivered quickly. One of the great things is they offer a bus to and from Lambeau on game days. You take the bus up a few hours before and just have to be back on the bus an hour after game is over. Overall this is one of the better sports bars in the area. Lots of TV's, indoor volleyball, fun staff and good food. read more

We stopped in last fall,,place seems to be always busy, it was near where we wanted to go and wife wanted to try it and wanted fish (me too) ,,met some other people going in and said they go there every friday and food was good,,went in they were busy but not super busy, waitress took our order and we waited and waited, and waited, finally got our food, started eating and found out they put a seasoning on the fish,,wife hated it ,,didn't tell us about it or even note it on the menu,,first piece was ,,,,,ok, but 2nd piece had to work to get down and the 3rd piece ,well the more you ate the less good it tasted , never will go back,,,and actually for the number of people eating the food took longer than it should have to be served. read more

Got two burgers here. A classic cheese with an extra patty and added bacon, and the Brew Pub Burger with an extra patty. The website says, "All of The Bar's burgers start with a fresh 1/3-pound Angus beef burger patty cooked char-grilled to done." but all four patties on both burgers came extremely undercooked. This would not have bothered me in an establishment that offers food cooked to lower degrees of doneness, but when it's not an option and then the establishment defies its own rules, you must wonder: 1: Does the establishment fully cook its meat because it is heavily processed and unfit to be served in any state before well done? 2: Was this a severe oversight on the cooks part? Is this even safe to eat? I could not keep anyone on the phone when I called in the next day. This is a real shame, because the ingredients we got seemed to be of high quality, besides the pretzel bun which looked like it may have been molding on the bottom side. Management needs to take a close look at what exactly is being kept in stock in the kitchen, and do periodic quality checks to make sure the food has not slid into mediocrity or worse, to levels unfit for consumption. read more

Very unprofessional. I placed an order to go and waited 45 minutes before asking how much longer the order would take since I had paid for it already. The Server told me that unfortunately, my order was placed on the delivery truck to be delivered to someone else. She didn't even apologize. Basically, if I had never asked I would have been waiting for another hour or so. There was no apology given or voucher for the negligence on their part. Just visited The Bar on a Sunday evening. I ordered wings, which used to always be on sale, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. I saw on the sign by the door, $.80 each, (Used to be $.25 when we started coming here). Apparently I didn't read the sign closely enough as now the sale price only applied to boneless wings or chicken McNuggets. We had wings, onion rings and my wife had a wrap. The food was pretty good, although the onion rings were greasy and over-fried, very dark, almost burnt. The wings were good as usual and my wife said the wrap was good. The surprise was the ticket. The prices here have really gone up and we could have enjoyed a steak at the local supper club for a few bucks more than we paid for some wings and a wrap. read more

I've been here a few times and this is always the case: the food is average bar food, the service is very friendly but also very slow and the prices are comparable to your average bar. Because the experience is always mediocre and the horrible service last night, I won't be going back. Last nights service: we ordered our meals and didn't see our server for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes, she came out and told us the food would be out soon. 15 minutes later she came back and told us it would be another minute or two. 10 minutes later, she brought us half of our food correctly. 2 of the 4 meals were correct, the 3rd meal she brought wasn't ordered by any of us and she didn't have a 4th meal. My order came out 5 minutes later and was terrible. It was obviously finished 30 minutes prior and was sitting under a heat lamp for at least that long. The 4th meal was never sent to the kitchen and we could wait 30 minutes for it to be made if we wanted (we didn't). The worst part about our meal last night was the "manager" came out and his first offer was to give us the 4th meal that never came out for free (how generous). Our friends were visiting from out of town and wanted to know if he could do something other than that. He offered to give us some gift cards (which assumes we'll be coming back...). We declined the gift cards and ended up getting our 3 meals at about half off. Since the service was horrible, the food was pretty bad and they didn't feel the need to comp our meals right away, I'm not going back. Maybe you'll have better luck. read more

We got delivery. I had the pesto chicken sandwich. The bun was dry, the chicken was dry and there was very little pesto. My friend got the chicken wrap. The waitress/bartender wasn't very nice upon arrival. Was very short with us and had another waitress take our order which turned out to be wrong and noticed said waitress was leaving for the day. The food in my opinion is overpriced I got the roadhouse burger and the burger itself was burnt around the edges very dry for it being a med well. My friend got the buffalo chicken wrap and all it was, was just chicken and lettuce and a bunch of sauce. Overall food was mediocre. They do have a great happy hour though! I have to say, I am reading some of these reviews and I am not sure what there is to hate on about the food at The Bar. Seriously, their food is phenomenal! I've eaten in bar and I've had delivery and the food is great both ways. I remember getting delivery and carry out from other places and the buns would be soggy, the lettuce all wilted, but not at the Bar! My girlfriend and I get delivery from here without hesitation and love ordering the Farmhouse Burger. For those who don't know, that is a delectable hamburger, with Cudahy Applewood Smoked Bacon, American Cheese, and an egg over easy. Let me tell you, the first time we ordered it, we had LOOOOOW expectations going into it... But we couldn't have been more satisfied! Now, if you order French fries with delivery, let's be real honest with ourselves. First, we really ordered the meal for the burger anyways... Second, skipping fries once and a while isn't always a bad thing. If you want them crispy, go inside folks! Or get the housemate chips, they're decent! Or like my girlfriend, stick with a side salad. Went here for lunch on 3/2/19. We were a party of 9, our waitress was very good. I had a cheeseburger and fries because I love their burgers. Both were great, so many side choices available! My husband had the Jambalaya special which came with hush puppies and dipping sauce. He said it was all excellent. Our table also had the appetizer sampler which was huge and very good, wings which are always a good thing at The Bar for wing enthusiasts, one Cuban wrap which was graded "okay", a few Lobster Roll specials that I was told were nothing to write home about (but they can write their own review) and a couple I think were called Chicken Pesto Paninis that were called "Excellent"! The Wisconsin game was on and the jumbo tv by us (where the biggest tables were) was so loud we couldn't even talk to each other. We asked the waitress if turning it down was even an option during the Wisconsin game and the bartender turned it way down as there were many other tv's all playing the same game. Went out with some family and friends to have a great celebratory evening, but was instead greeted by nothing but rudeness and incompetence. Our server was slow, the bartenders were rude, and the food was subpar at best. It seems like the female bartender and server were too busy chatting to even bother with us. When asked how long our food would take, the female bartender walked away to go and chat with the male bartender. I used to like coming here, but lately it just seems to have really gone downhill.
