My friends an I went to Cassie's about 4 to 5 weeks ago. Just decided to write this review because I still can't get it out of my head how BAD our experience was. We ordered two pizzas, when server brought to table, one wasn't as hot as the other one. We ate our respective pizzas and we both were NOT impressed. First, the size of pizza seemed small, and they increased prices to a plain cheese pie to $18.00 ( rip off). Finally when the server came back to table the other people said their pizza was not that hot as the other one (mine) She got very defensive and said they were brought out right from the oven. You can easily feel the difference with heat temp. from the trays they were on. Plus the pizza really didn't taste that great. The server offered to bring it back to reheat to little to late. Server just walked away. I feel my friends and myself are pizza experts we go out to many pizza places and this place Cassie's we will NEVER go back to again. Maybe it was just a bad night but I remember I was there a few years ago and had a similar experience, my friends said they heard Cassie's got better so we tried it again. A few days ago we had lunch at the Cassie's in Orangeburg. Because I eat in the Englewood location frequently, it was fun to compare. The waiter assured me that the NY location was better than the original in NJ. I found them very similar and an excellent value for the cost. My brides pizza was prepared well, and although she asked for extra mozzarella and got extra ricotta, cheese by any other name is her favorite. I had the rigatoni bolognese and a cesar salad. Excellent value, quality and friendly cordial service. I'll let others fight about which location is better. I'm going to both! read more

Alright... I am fairly judgmental about food, rarely about how it is served to me or who serves it. However, the terrible hostess service at Cassie's has given me reason to write this review. The first time I ordered from Cassie's, I picked up my food. When I got there the place was empty. The hostess was on a cell phone call when I walked in... she ignored me. Her friends then got up from a booth and walked over to her to say goodbye. She hung up the call and hugged each one of them goodbye. Then the house phone rang and she told me she would be with me in a moment while she answered it... it was not a customer. Finally someone from behind the pizza counter came over to ask me what I wanted. I picked up my pizza and tried to pay. She was in the back... awesome. I stood there for another 2 minutes and she finally got to me. On another occasion I called Cassie's... I thought I would try delivery because they advertised it on the front door of the restaurant. The hostess put me on hold for a minute to ask if they would deliver... I understand that. When she came back I ordered, but she was quite rude with me, told me it would be 45 minutes and hung up the phone. Ick. What keeps me going back to this place?? The amazing food. What I have had was really good (thin crust pizza, salad, pasta). I just hope the hostess learns some manners. read more

Eaten here a few times and each time it has gotten worse. Today will be the last visit. We arrived at 4:45, 2 diners in the whole place and we waited a solid 5 minutes to be acknowledged. The bread showed up 5 minutes after that and my husband and I received our entrees in a timely manner. There were tons of employees around but our service was really poor. Maybe it had something to do with our waiter eating his pasta at the bar in between taking our order and not checking on us. Another problem was our children's pizza took 20 min to arrive after our meal was served. We were told the receipt/order machine was broken and that's why it was late. Did I mention it was my sons birthday today and he specifically chose this restaurant. When we arrived my husband told the hostess about our celebration and we were given the bill at the end with no happy birthday, dessert, anything! Really? Deliver was fast charged a 2 dollar zone fee the place is only .3 miles down the road. The price quotes on the phone went up 3 dollars when delivered the driver who dropped it off tried walking off with my change had to ask for it then gave him his tip and I tip well. Now the pizza wasn't that great was blackened on the bottom gave it a bad taste there was not enough sauce and the Herb on it gave it a sour taste cheese was some what over done the crust was not crisp the bottom was super soft almost couldn't pick up the spice not the best pizza I have had probably wouldn't buy here again. read more

This place isn't as good as it could or should be. It's brick oven pizza, which right off the bat is a huge plus. The problem here is their ingredients (specifically the sauce and the cheese) are simply not of high quality and you can absolutely taste it. If the owners of this place would just pony up for better ingredients they'd have something really special. Instead it just tastes like mediocre pizza that was cooked in a brick oven. Went to the Cassie's in Englewood, NJ. The pear salad was AMAZING, I would get it again in a second. I also got a 10" pizza with meatballs, but to my disappointment, the meatballs were TERRIBLE!!! I just went here for the third time in the past 3 years. I travel for work and stumbled acroos this little Gem by mistake. We went in and we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was inside. Even though it looks simple from the outside it leans towards the upscale side. The first time i went here I had the Veal Parm and it was the best I have ever had. So, last night I travelled a 1/2 hr to try it again hoping not to be disappointed. Again I had the Veal Parm and again it was still the Best I have ever had. i've always loved the cassie's in englewood, and for some reason i didn't realize this was the same cassie's. i went for dinner on friday night around 9pm w/my boyfriend. he had the arugala and portabella mushroom salad w/chicken and i had the rigatoni bolognese. i was blown away at how delicious my pasta was. it was served steaming hot in a huge bowl (they also serve family style if you like). i ate and ate and ate, and barely made a dent. the only thing that could've made my meal better was fresh parmigiana cheese. that stuff in those little shakers just didn't cut it. definitely one of my new/current/favorites! read more

That was some good food! My fiancee and I were on the hunt for lunch and stumbled upon this pasta and coal-fired pizza joint. I had a daily special wrap with breaded chicken, fresh mozzarella, and sliced tomato. She had a good chicken and portobello salad. Sizes were huge--this is a good place to share. I am a huge fan of both Cassie's restaurants as the menu and everything is practically the same. I do like the one in Englewood much more because the shape of the restaurant is better, making it not as loud as the one on RT 303. Order the rigatoni bolognese and you will leave happy. read more

Really good pizza with fresh ingredients and thin crust. The fried calamari is one of the best I've had, and pretty much everything on the menu is yummy. I am gonna start by saying I love this place, the staff is super friendly and out going. In addition to that our waitress was on point, my glass was never empty, I never found myself looking for a server. Even the gentlemen that brought our food over and cleared out plates was pleasant. The portion sizes are awesome, plenty for two... No skimpy portions here. We got te fried calamari, a personal favorite. It was a nice thick cut and not overly breaded. Score!!! From our table we could see te pizza oven which was fun something different. The chicken franchise was yummy not too much lemon, were some times the sour ruins the dish.
