Grew up in this neighborhood but first time trying this pizzeria. I know they've been around for awhile, even when I was in middle school. Grabbed a large pie, half mushroom for piece, It was a bit pricey but I get it with produce costs on the rise. Sauce was delicious and a natural hint of sweetness from the tomatoes. I like a heavy sauce pizza and this was no exception. Slices were thin similar to slices you can find in Queens. Dough crust was crispy but actual slice was a but soft from the sauce. I really liked it but just felt bottom of slice was slightly bitter from the coal fire. Some people like that but Me, not so much. My family loved it which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, just my own personal taste. Staff greeted me and I got my pie in no time. I'm giving this review 3 stars because the food is incredible, but the wait staff is pretty rude. I usually get takeout from here because I love their food, especially their calzones. Last night, instead of getting fast food with my friend, we decided to have a sit down dinner. We were asked if we wanted bread, said yes, never got it. We were pressured into quickly ordering our food. When we got our food, we took time eating it and catching up. The waitress kept coming over asking if we were done. I could tell the place was getting busy, but we didn't want to feel rushed. When we were finished eating, the waitress asked if we wanted anything else, to which we politely said no, but she dropped our check on the table, like she was forcing us to pay and leave. Wanted to finish our conversation, but the waitress kept glaring at us. I finally said "I guess she wants us to leave", which my friend got the feeling too. Like I said when I started this review...the food here is excellent but no way will they get 5 stars until they teach their wait staff how to treat customers. read more

Stumbled upon this place by accident while in the area for an appointment and wanted a quick bite to eat. It truly did not disappoint! I have made it a point to come back since my initial visit and everything is amazing! It's a local pizza spot run by authentic Italians so you can trust they are putting out fresh authentic food! The pizza is delicious, nice thin crispy crust topped with a great mozz and sauce combo. The dishes are also out of this world! The chicken francese is a healthy portion and the sauce is a perfect balance of lemon and wine. The few times I have went we have shared a dinner and a pizza and it's more than enough for 2 people. Keep in mind the main dishes come with a side of pasta and a house salad. I recommend the marinara or vodka sauce! Yum! Even the pasta is al dente! Unacceptably slow service. I placed a takeout order for a large pizza. When I went to pick it up at the designated time, they told me it wasn't ready yet. I waited 10 minutes and then asked for an update. They told me it's going to take another 10 minutes. I got fed up and just canceled my order. That is just unacceptable. If your restaurant is so backed up, then stop accepting orders until you're caught up. There were at least 7-8 other people who were also waiting for their pizzas and not getting them. Also, there was no apology from the staff for making us wait. They just looked annoyed, as if it's us the customers' fault for placing too many orders. read more

We always go to three boys for pizza takeout, particularly the caprese pie. Service and food has always been pleasant and delicious, Our last few experiences haven't been as such. The last three times of ordering, staff seemed miserable (I know, food services are struggling and typically it's a busy kitchen answering the phone but still). And even when asking for crispy/well done, we've gotten soupy pizza that we've had to put in the oven to additionally cook. We haven't cut them off because our numerous positive experiences, fingers crossed I'll come back to edit to 4 stars. read more

Ordered Three Boys From Italy through Uber eats and was very pleased. I had the personal vodka pizza and a veal parm hero. I would def say the winner was the vodka pizza. The veal was a little tough, but it was also delivery so it's hard to judge. The pizza and vodka sauce had great flavor, and would definitely order it again. Next time, will try the vodka Sicilian, not sure I've seen this on a menu. read more

Had dinner with a friend and enjoyed the food. Simple good pasta dishes nice portions and good value. It is byob so that's always a plus.

Me and my family drove all the way from the Bronx just to eat here and it was worth the drive. I originally go to there first one they have on Burke Ave which is also great . But this pie here was definitely different and delicious we fell in love with it from the very first bite . Our very first visit and we were very impressed with thus local BYOB pizzeria restaurant with a Calabrian Italian twist. The linguini with white clam sauce was superb and the wooden brick oven Margherita pizza was also very good. Follow with Tartuffo and Dopio Espresso that hit all their marks and what you have here is a go to and favorite for the locals. Buon appetito! read more

never again. i ordered an Italian combo on a hero roll. how hard can that be right? well.....when I took it out of the cardboard box it had 2 very thin pieces of ham, 2 very thin pieces of salami, 2 very thin pieces of provolone, 1/4 of a head of lettuce and 3 quarter inch slices of tomato. i mean come on... could they have done a little more with the meat, then charged $15 for it. I called to let them know how I felt to which they argued with me and told me the lady that made it said she put more meat on it. basically calling me a liar. I wish I could post a pictur. beware of this place, there's plenty of other much better place. oh and their chicken cutlet hero was horrible too. same way with the chintzy chicken. Locals restaurant run by an Italian family. No server available from 11am-4pm so during that time it is a pay/pick up at counter type of place. But during dinner time, it is a full service restaurant. Byob so bring that Italian red to pair with that piping hot pie. Enjoyed the pizza from their wood fired oven. Prices are a bit steep but it pays to have quality ingredients. Seafood pasta was a small portion and the sauce was very salty so will skip this dish next time. Wood fired pies are the way to go here and maybe a salad next time around. Family is very friendly and we received great service. Confused by all the reviews calling them unfriendly. read more

Finally!!!! Some really good pizza that can probably compete with places in NYC. I'm from Brooklyn and finding good pizza has been a trip to the Moon and back in Rockland County ...in other words impossible to find....until I found the square at Three Boys. This pizza and I can only speak for the Sicilian is perfect and not a single flaw, the crust is out of this world, cheese and sauce blend very well. Definitely my new go to place. read more

DO NOT COME HERE WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO EAT BY YOURSELF. A group of 4 of us went for dinner, we all ordered at the same time 2 came within 25 mins, the 3rd came 35 mins later and the last one(mine) came when everyone was done. Before everyone was almost done and I didn't get my food I told the server to cancel it and she got super upset because it would ruin her business but who wants to eat alone when everyone in the group is done eating. She still then brings my food and we already paid the bill . The one server got super nasty and bitchy. Won't be coming back here again to eat. Really some of the best pizza in the county, and that's saying a heck of a lot. They have wood burning or gas - either is tasty. Wood burning will have more of a charred flavor to it. Gas is straight up and pure. For our most recent order, we called in a sausage and pepperoni pizza for pick up. (weird, I know... My lil sis was visiting from Nashville and that's what she wanted.) They misheard over the phone and gave us "sausage and pepper" pizza. Well, can't fault them. That's what it should have been. Still, we want what we want. They knocked a few bucks off the price to make it right. This is a multi-generational family establishment and that certainly counts for something. I've heard the older gentleman have strong words with the younger fellow in Italian. Lends a certain air of authenticity. I've been ordering pizza here for at least 5 years. I went in today to find out that their prices increased (which is understandable), but their small plain pie is now $16!!! That's insane!! Secondly, I always get a margarita pizza (which is now $20), and today it was barely sprinkled with basil and had less mozzarella than I've ever seen on it. I spoke to the owner himself and he didn't seem to care what I thought nor whether or not I come back. I don't normally write poor reviews being a business owner myself, but this experience forced me to pay it forward to all of you. Bad, bad, bad, business!!! Maybe 6 clams in the shell and that's it ... no other clams in the sauce.. the sauce was so bland no flavor at all no seasoning not even a parsley flake just large pieces of browned garlic . Went there for lunch. Pros: Food is pretty solid. Pizza alone would be five stars no doubt. Salad was fresh. Pasta: huge portion and kinda homey. Cons: No heating in the dining section. It was freezing! Maybe thats how they make the pizza feel even tastier. One dude behind the counter makes pizza, brings you food, and handles the money. Probably not the best idea in terms of food safety. Not the friendliest guy you'll meet. And the TV is angled toward to him, not the customers, meaning it is there for the pizza dude to see, not the customers. It's actually kinda interesting. Best pizza in Jersey. The Three Boys (now called Trattoria) use a brick oven to cook their pizza. Skip the plain pies and go for one of their specials. The Margherita pizza is incredible--fresh mozzarella, great tomato sauce, fresh basil, perfect crust. Order a big pie 'cause this also makes the best cold pizza ever. My second favorite is definitely the broccoli rabe pizza. The broccoli rabe is not soggy or too vinegary, and they pair it with garlic, olive oil, and fresh mozzarella. All the slices are big and everything's cheap! I recommend taking out, since the dining area is a little cramped. I'm not sure if they deliver. Try it out! You won't regret it! read more
