Interminable wait. Strange horrible food took forever after the wait for the table. My "medium rare" ribeye was a gray glob as thin as 1/4" in places. Had a flavor of some kind of off brand bouillon. I actually left most of it on the plate. Teenie baked potato. Waitress never brought water but the busboy got some for us. When she asked how the meal was and I said, "weird" she said, "ok" and walked away. Mostly she was missing in action. Came here while staying in Cody for a trip to Yellowstone. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a man who was sitting at the piano. He asked me for my ID (we were only there to eat dinner, not for drinks), but I gave it to him. We walked up to the host station and the hostess (somewhat rudely) told us it would probably be about an hour or longer before we were seated. We had time to waste so we went to the gas station and liquor store across the street while we waited. When we came back, she told us it would be another 20 or so minutes so we looked around--the history of the place is very interesting, that's for certain. I looked at the specials and noted that there was a salmon with mushrooms dish--not a typical combination that I had some hope would be pulled off well. We were seated and it took an incredibly long time to get food, but they brought out some bread and honey butter which was good. My S.O. got some sort of massive burger that he could only eat about 1/3 of--and the two of us can certainly eat. I ordered the aforementioned salmon special. We were sitting near an older couple who were clearly a little frustrated, and when a waitress got over to them with their food they ate quickly and left. They told us they had been seated for two and a half hours. It took a long time for the food to come out.. nearing up on about an hour. The salmon with mushrooms did not make sense together (I really held high hopes, but apparently I should have known better), the salmon was somewhat dry, and everything was very, very expensive. However, I could tell that the chef who had plated my food was really attempting to make it look nice--it wasn't just slopped on randomly, but it wasn't quite the presentation I think they might have been trying to go for. But I suppose that's just splitting hairs. The only real highlight of the night was this one couple on the dance floor--they were dancing incredibly well and we couldn't take our eyes off of them. Though I can't speak for the bar, I wouldn't really recommend this place to someone stopping through for food. This place might be the greatest for those in Cody, but otherwise, not so much. read more

Grate people great food and great atmosphere. It's not fast food so don't expect it. It's time to sit down relax and enjoy the western culture and your company. You are in Wyoming time to slow down and take it all in. My go to is an order of Rocky Mountain Oysters and the rare prime rib and of course I would recommend the homemade carrot cake but only if I'm not there save a piece for me wow. Awful!!! After reading the great reviews we decided to give it a shot. The Cowgirl steak was served well done, after I ordered it medium-rare. The baked potato was raw, the wasn't anything wrong with the salad, but it wasn't anything special. On top of that we waited for 40 minutes until the meal arrived. This was on Saturday (Memorial Day Weekend) and the restaurant was very quiet. For an establishment that's been in business for so many years, it was a poor showing. When the waitress came over to check on our food (about 10 minutes after it was served) and my husband pointed out the problems, she apologized, left, came back and said the manager would deduct $10 from the bill. Really? The manager didn't even have the decency to come over herself? With barely more than 20 customers in the restaurant? 1 star for the entertainment, a singer and 2 dancers. Went here on 6/21/2016. Service was not great. Girl was short with us and not attentive. All in all the food was not very good for as expensive as this place is. Okay, this place get's really crowded on weekends so get there early if you're hungry!!! With that said, I've been here many times and the food is great! I mean really good! Steaks are wonderful. We went to the Rib and Chop in another town and I would rather have eaten that again in this town since I knew it was good. During a trip to Yellowstone we decided on a side trip to Cody. We drove around a bit and pulled into the Cassie's Supper Club lot and went inside. I am a big fan of the hole in the wall restaurants. This place fits the bill with great decorations and history. The server was friendly and told us about the history of the place and the local celebrities that visit from time to time. The Elk Medallions were bordering on fantastic with a great blackened flavor and perfectly spiced. Then I ordered a huge hamburger (three 12 oz patties). Again a magnificent sensation and a great blend of meats and spices. If you are visiting Cody, you have to visit Cassie's or you haven't been to Cody. read more

Stopping in here only once while here on my own personal saloon tour of the area, after a night at the Cody Night Rodeo, I can say that I had other favorite watering holes I preferred in town. Excellent! Passing through town and had to stop. The outside looks like it belongs in the Ole West. Locals make reservations so unfortunately we had to wait 20 min. Dining is a smaller area. There is live music, which wasn't loud and annoying, it was actually pretty relaxing. My son had the bronco burger and he loved it. I had the 16oz prime rib and it melted in my mouth. Sadly, we had over cooked burgers (was told they are required to cook MW), a very flat tap beer and extremely slow service. It appeared to have been a busy day with entertainment but it was mostly empty by 5:30 when we were there. The waitress acknowledged the bartender poured the beer incorrectly and into a warm glass but the $4.50 price of the beer was not removed from the check. I had the split pea and ham soup as a side dish and it was very good. If you want western atmosphere I guess this would be it. Be forewarned: 2 burgers, 2 beers with tip=$40! We just returned from a vacation to Yellowstone and spent several days in Cody. We had dinner here before the rodeo and were delighted with the place. There was a western band providing entertainment and the rustic nature of the place made you feel comfy. Our food was very good and I had the bone-in ribeye which was cooked perfectly. We told them we needed to make the rodeo on time and they accommodated us perfectly. The waiter was attentive and friendly. To start, the toilets were atrocious..and i'm used to really bad toilets from our local dive-bars, but barely any light, no lock on the one stall, no paper towels, and the girls bathroom was simply shady (deadbolt and all, with the bathroom door barely closing though!) I ordered the T-bone, and it was tasty and very large, but I got an upset stomach from it later that night. My gf got the filet mignon, and she said it was fine.
