Perfection. When planning out all of the wedding details, the one thing we struggled with was finding a photographer. I saw Cassy recommended on a Facebook bride page and decided to use her services after reading all of the amazing reviews on here and checking out her website for sample photos. The entire process was pretty easy, I sent an email for a quote, chatted a few times via email and then set up an appointment to meet with her a month before our wedding. As for the big day, Cassy was on time, friendly and super helpful with directions for the photos. We have never been super photogenic so I had no idea how to pose but Cassy knew exactly what she was doing. When I visited her website, I was so impressed by the light, romantic, naturey vibes of her photos and could not believe how reasonable her prices were! My entire experience with Cassy from start to finish was nothing short of miserable. Cassy was recommended to me by a friend, so I reached out to her on her website. It took two follow up emails and an Instagram DM to finally hear back from her two weeks after initially reaching out. Her reasoning for not responding for two weeks was that she had to do her taxes. I'm an accountant so I knew that was BS, but I ended up letting it go. Her pictures are pretty, so I decided to look past the red flags of poor communication and sign her contract for engagement photos and wedding photos. I had originally booked a different photographer for our engagement photos, but since engagement photos came with her package, I canceled with the other photographer and forfeited the deposit we had with her - no big deal. On Saturday of this past Easter weekend, Cassy emailed me and told me that because of personal matters she wouldn't be able to photograph my wedding, but would still be able to photograph our engagement if I was interested. Of course I 100% understand when personal matters take precedence over business matters, so I was totally fine with her having to cancel the wedding. I wrote back on Easter Saturday, one hour after she wrote me, and asked how much just the engagement shoot would be? I guess I was optimistic that she would do the right thing and get back to me quickly, but I thought wrong. I didn't hear back from her, and after three days I sent a follow up email, which I also didn't hear back about. I finally emailed Cassy and told her how disappointed I was that I wasn't hearing back and that I was going to find a new photographer, and her answer was that she didn't respond because it was Easter weekend. Her initial email was at 3 pm on Easter weekend so I didn't particularly understand that excuse. Out of every vendor I have talked to throughout this process, Cassy has been the only one I couldn't get ahold of. I would absolutely choose a different photographer if you don't want to have the added stress of someone not responding and canceling last minute. I have nothing but negative things to say about my experience with Cassy. It all worked out because we have a wonderful, responsive photographer now, but I felt the need to put this out there. read more

My husband and I are not "picture people" and it was nice getting feedback from her on how to pose. In my honest opinion I did not feel like we had a strong relationship with our photographer. I knew I wanted to book Cassy for our wedding before my husband and I were even engaged. I had been following her work for over a year before I needed a wedding photographer, and she was my first choice before even knowing anything about her work ethic or personality. I will preface this with the fact that I am a super awkward human being, and my husband is 100xs more photogenic than I am. We selected the photo package that included engagement photos & all day coverage with a printed album. Day of the wedding Cassy was earlier than I anticipated, and got right to work setting up. Her fiance was her second shooter, and my husband enjoyed having him in the room while he was getting ready. They are both nothing but kind and professional, and put us at ease the entire time. Her method for positioning you is a lot more comfortable than some other photographers who prefer super posed shots. I enjoyed that we were able to interact in a way that felt natural. Cassy has a very calm nature which I appreciated throughout our wedding day- she was able to roll with the punches even though I know a few last minute changes must have frustrated her. She told us that it could take up to a week to get our sneak peek gallery, so you can imagine how pleasant a surprise it was to receive it after 3 days. I loved the images she selected for our album as well, and was so excited to receive the physical book in the mail a few weeks later with the USB drive of our final edits.
