Wonderful dog friendly spot in Warrenton! They have a spacious patio and they provide treats and water! I loved my grilled cheese and the burger looked good too. This will be our new stop on the way to Shenandoah from DC! Very kind staff!

Elote dip, good but a little overcooked and dry

Ambience was nice. The restaurant is located in a historic building off of a side street. The seating is limited, very casual. The service was good. The food was average. My party of 3 ordered The Cast Iron Breakfast (it was Sunday and they serve brunch which is nice), The Lancer and The Blue Steel Burger. The burger and grilled cheese were both good. The elote dip that was ordered as an appetizer but came out with our food was a bit overcooked as were our waffle fries. The breakfast dish only came with one pancake even though the description lists pancakes as plural and the one pancake that was received was definitely not homemade although the server claimed it was. It was hard and appeared to have been microwaved. Disappointing meal even though the menu was promising. If they got better cooks, this could be good. Edit: No Wesley, I didn't say everything was good except the pancake. If you read my review you would see that I also felt the fries and the elote were overcooked and yes we did bring up our concerns with the server but nothing was done to correct the issue. It's a shame that you don't value Yelp reviews and use them to improve your business and instead respond to them with snarky comments.

Cute vibes and music, the Christmas cocktails I had were good and I plan to go back to try the food.

Stopped in for lunch and happy we did. We started off with 2 red wines, my hubby and I each had a different one and liked them both. Not a big selection, but they were both good. They had whites and a few others, too. We had the hot shrimp and crab dip. It was delicious: plenty of chunks of shrimp, yummy flavor, and just enough toasted bread, all served in a mini cast iron skillet . My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich minus the blue cheese and said it was one of the best-best flavor, proportion, and nice and saucy. I created my own burger and it was cooked perfectly:plenty of mushrooms and caramelized onions . Both were served with a generous amount of perfectly cooked waffle fries. Our server was very nice and prompt without being pushy. The dining room was cozy and tastefully decorated. Not a huge menu but something for everyone. Wish I had groom for dessert.

Service was lovely! We hung out and had a couple of ciders. Great atmosphere. Kid friendly. Very chill place to have a drink. We didn't get to try the food, but the people around us ordered food and it looked/smelled very good!

    Puerto Rican roast pork

We were in Warrenton area to play pickleball. We found this place on Yelp with good reviews. We were about 11 of us. It was around 8 pm when we arrived there. Staff were very nice to move the tables around to accommodate us. They told us about two ways to place an order - online using the barcode or via one of their staff members. I tried the online version, but it kinda messed up the order as I was getting someone else's order under my tab. I pointed that to the staff and placed the order through her. For apps, I ordered bacon deviled eggs with salad. Classic bar food. Always enjoy a nice deviled egg with cold beer. For mains, I ordered the Puerto Rican roast pork. Roast pork was delicious. Slightly dry. Wish it was juicy. I have had slightly better version in Puerto Rico. However, this one comes pretty close to the original version. Ambiance is good. Nothing too special about it. One of the negatives from one of my friends was that he regretted ordering the Mac & cheese with pork which cost him $21 excluding tips and tax. I think it's overpriced for a bowl of Mac & cheese with some pork belly on it. Parking can be hard to find here. There are many restaurants and bars in this area.

Kitchen closes early even on a Saturday night. Seems to be the trend in Warrenton. Better get here before 9 PM or they will turn you away.

I'm also a big fan of prosciutto and arugula pizzas, and Licorice Pizza's version is my favorite. Somehow all the ingredients are arranged thoughtfully so the whole pizza can be eaten bite by bite, rather than getting large pieces of prosciutto or arugula that slide off. A drizzle of oil makes all the flavors shine. We were taken care of by Cheyenne, who did her best by us despite it clearly being a busy night. I appreciated her checking on the pizzas for us unasked when they took a little longer to arrive. She also had a great sense of humor that delighted our whole table. Despite the record-themed decor, something about the ambiance does seem lacking, although maybe I'm just remembering the way the Black Bear looked when I visited in the past. That's worth overlooking for such delicious pizzas. The daily specials and happy hour deals are worth looking into when planning a visit, too. Last thing I want to mention, I came here with my parents, who tend to get cagey at "hip" places, especially at bar areas that can get a little loud. They were totally on board with everything, and as locals I expect to hear them come back soon for more pizza.

After hours running up and down the parade route, I noticed lots of people constantly going in and out of Licorice Pizza, and decided that was my goal for Post-Parade dinner. There was booming music playing as we entered, and our server met us at the table we selected to get us oriented. She was very personable, brought menus, and was attentive as we worked through our long overdue desire for food and drink. The drink menu wasn't huge, but had a nice, safe selection of beer and some festive holiday drinks. For food, lots of appetizers and mains, but we focused on their tasty-sounding pizzas as calzones. Our beer, cocktails, and pizzas came out quickly. Hot. Delicious. Our server checked in frequently and was very high energy. Cute place with solid food and drink choices as you take a break from shopping on Main Street.

She said, "Since it's going to be an hour wait, let's order an app." We decided on the onion rings. Holy smokes, wicked good!!! As soon as we were done, our table was ready!! This is great! We had perused the menu and we both decided on The Butcher Steak with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. I don't really care for asparagus, and the waitress said I could substitute a few different things including... wait for it... onion rings!!! I was like, "That's it!!"We got our food and, my gosh, everything was spot on! On top of that, the onion rings were cooked a little more than the app, and OMG!! They may have been the best onion rings outside of Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster in Freeport, Maine. They were absolutely scrumptious. The steak was tender and beautiful, the potatoes were perfection, and my wife said the asparagus was delightful. I almost forgot. We were sitting out by the pond and it was an absolutely beautiful evening. The sun was starting to drop, and it made for scene out of "Under the Tuscan Sun". This night could not have been better.
