I had the worst experience ever! My self and my husband went there for taco Thursday special they have. (Tacos are good) we sat at the bar where we waited for almost 30 minutes to be waited on. Then we were told by one of the bar tenders Russell that we should go to McDonald's because we're cheap. I'm assuming people of color are not welcome here and to mention the man continues to yell at us to the point where my husband was ready to go off! I attempted to tell the owner Stephen lai who did nothing. We watched them laugh serve, and enjoy other Caucasian patrons. We left immediately and I cried all the way home disappointed in the establishment that's in such a wonderful town I've never been so embarrassed and hurt. I've visited Red Zone a couple of times now. Stopped in the first time for a brew. Had a pint of the Raging Bitch IPA (Flying Dog Brewery, Frederick, MD). I've had Raging Bitch many times - nothing new here. Sat at the bar and enjoyed my beer and watched a couple of the NFL games in progress on the numerous large flat panel HV TVs adorning the wall behind the bar. The second time I visited with friends. Had the Red Zone spicy burger with fries and a large pint of Raging Bitch. The burger was amazing! Succulent, spicy, and delicious! Fries were crisp, tasty, and cooked perfectly. We ordered a second round of Raging Bitches - and then we encountered a bit of unpleasantness. They began cleaning some portion of the restaurant - with Pine Sol or its equivalent. If you've never experienced this odor when eating or drinking - well, it's extremely nasty. It interferes with the enjoyment of food and beverage. We asked our server about it - apparently several other folks complained about it as well. At this point, I could not drink my second Ale. I said something to the server, he apologized and took it off the bill. Red Zone management - if you are paying attention - switch your cleaning products to something less toxic smelling, or do it after you are closed and your customers have vacated the building! read more

Went to this restaurant with my cousin because a friend of his said that the burgers were phenomenal. We were both disappointed. We ordered a sampler because we couldn't decide on one appetizer. The Mozzarella sticks were great, the onion rings were good, the potato skins were... satisfactory... and the wings were awful. Sports bars should pride themselves on their wings - but I can't imagine anyone saying the wings were the best part. They were overcooked, with barely and chicken on the inside, put in a pool of sauce on the plate. Also, the appetizers were given WITH the actual meals (burgers). Very odd. Burgers were not phenomenal. They weren't awful, but I don't understand why you'd put mushrooms on a burger when you can't taste them and it doesn't add anything to the sandwich. Fries were great though, won't lie. Service was bad. The waitress spent nearly all her time laughing with her friends. She finally pulled it together when she was about to finish her shift. The interior design was... weird. I normally wouldn't say anything about it, but I was just so confused as to why anyone would design it the way they did. Tables were placed so that it was hard to get out, and the acoustics were bad. Background noise was so loud it was hard to hear the people near you. I'm normally lenient on restaurants, but this one was bad enough I felt it was necessary to leave a negative review. read more

Red Zone is great for the outdoor seating in the warmer months. We've enjoyed a few drinks on the patio area and the appetizers are pretty good. I've never had any food off the other parts of the menu. The fresh garden rolls are pretty good, the wings are just ok in my opinion. My Girlfriend and i went out for Lunch and a drink, and found this wonderful Sportsbar in Warrenton. We were Greeted , and Seated promptly even though they were busy. The Music was played soft and low, where we could talk without yelling, A waitress approached us and took our drink order within minutes, and we were handed a menu. I was surprised by the Various Entree's offered, and the prices were competitive to similar locations . The decor was nicely done and updated, with an outside Patio, if the weather was good. I was served promptly and by very professional waitress and staff. were all friendly. We are still talking about this place a day later, as there is not to many places in the area with a full bar, and nightlife, sports event posted all over the place with 14 new TV's , and they even have a 125" Projection for major events.. I'm changing my review mainly because of staff on Saturday nights. The owner smokes in his own restaurant, and leaves his waiters to fend for themselves on a packed night. One of the main female waiters is ALWAYS singing instead of working and pretty much leaves the other waitresses high and dry. Especially when people are asking for orders or their checks and you hold up your hand saying "I have to sing". Do not go here for good customer service. read more

Came here yesterday and found myself here again for their awesome Happy Hour. Got a few beers and their Crispy Shrimp Rolls. The shrimp rolls were pretty good and a bargain for $5 for 6 big shrimp. The shrimp did need some seasoning though, little bland but still good shrimp and the wrappers were mostly crisp. Some got soggy because the piece of lettuce they served them on was dripping wet. The dipping sauce they serve with these was from left field though, very weird......it said on the menu 'Ranch and Honey Mustard' which sounded strange to begin with for Asian inspired shrimp....but they were mixed together??? Very very strange for these shrimp. A simple Chinese mustard, duck sauce or sweet and sour would have REALLY been more appropriate and make these shrimp really stand out. The service once again was very good and the beers were nice and cold!! I'm still coming back and trying more of the menu, they are close to hitting a home run! read more

Bartender says seat yourself, I ask if outside is open and the reply is yes. Take my menu and go enjoy the sunshine. And no one comes. After 5 minutes I take menu back in and the couple that came in after me and sat inside is being helped. Poor communication in a restaurant is foreshadowing to the rest of the experience. read more

This place attracts the trash. Twice now I've been to eat at a nearby restaurant with my family. We sat outside both times to enjoy the weather. The first time we had to listen to the guest at RedZone. The language was extremely offensive especially in front of our children. Eventually a fight broke out and the police came. This was about 5:00 by the way. The second time was about 6:00. There was one couple sitting outside. The girl was a loud mouth crying for attention. She had such a foul mouth. So trashy. How did RedZone get a 4 star rating? The ambiance? The great food? The great beer selection? The super attentive waitstaff? No. No. No. No. I have no idea how this totally average (to slightly below average) restaurant maintains such a high rating. It is certainly NOT the best in town - no where near it. My guess is that it needs more reviews. My wife and I stopped in recently, late on a Sunday afternoon. I thought that it was unusually empty - I expected to see more than 2 other tables in use. Eh, no big deal I guess, not a lot of sports on TV to draw that crowd. We were seated promptly - not surprising since there were plenty of seats available. Oddly, the adjacent table was full of dirty dishes - it's not like they were too busy to bus the table... My wife ordered a margarita (weak) and I ordered a beer. "We no longer carry that one, we now have (beer I don't like)" No, I'll have a Diet Pepsi I said. When it was served, it was "Here's your Diet Coke" Notice the difference there? Pepsi and Coke are not the same thing of course. Whatever. Our appetizer was tasty - bacon wrapped tater tots sprinkled with cheese. Of course it can be said that bacon wrapped anything is good and I certainly wouldn't argue that point, but it was the first time we'd ever had tots prepared like that. The tots were very hot and yet the cheese wasn't quite melted. How'd they do that? I ordered a club sandwich and my wife ordered a steak and cheese sub. Both came with very good seasoned french fries. My wife said her sub was OK and I felt the same way about my club sandwich - it was OK. There was certainly nothing wrong with either sandwich - it was edible but it was not of the quality that I want to see in a restaurant. I can fix "OK" food at home. I go to restaurants to get away from "OK". Oh, and the ambiance? Since the RedZone is pretty new, everything is nice and shiny and looks good. But the bizarre music selection was too loud and annoying. Who plays AC/DC followed by Starship followed by something that sounded like Metallica? Obnoxious to say the least and not at all appropriate for a dining establishment. read more

Friendly staff, but they all seem to cower in the shadow of a micromanaging owner. I've been there a few times, and they always seem to be looking over their shoulder. One would think with a business focus on customer service, they would try to hire a capable kitchen staff. Saying the kitchen is less than competent is an understatement. "Boneless" chicken wings are literally cut up chicken fingers. DO NOT come here for the food, especially if you're sober. Among the worst food in town. I see a lot of reviews on yelp suggesting the food is good, which is ridiculous. I dint expect it to be better than bar food, but their menu is a joke. Is it Italian, Asian inspires, or a steak place? None of the above, and not even good for bar food standards. This place is right between Tapas and Mojitos and Faangs- two MUCH better and very unique places, so why even come here? To hang out with all 3 other customers? Update: went there again today, for dinner. I had a dozen chicken wings with sweet and sour sauce. Son had mac and cheese with fries, and Daughter had calamari. We all LOVED our dinners, and the service was excellent. There was a nice crowd there/it was a happening place! I've UBER picky with my wings, and I rate them a super close 2nd to Black Bear Bistro's smoked wings (the BEST). Aside from those, these are the best ever. Incredibly delish, fresh, light, and crispy, with delicious sauce and wonderful blue cheese dip, along with celery and carrots. This place is THISCLOSE to becoming my new favorite place in town. To get 5 stars, the manager needs to chillax and smile and be friendly. Currently, he's a stick in the mud. Once they get a manger who can lighten up, I see this getting a rare 5 star review. I always give this place a chance because it's convenient. There aren't any sports bars in Warrenton, but neither is this. I go to watch the caps (possible elimination) playoff game and ask for the sound to be turned on over the generic promo jukebox songs. Denied because karaoke starts at 9, midway through the game."people will be mad if the sound switched midway through the game" In the past I've also been kicked out before a redskins game has ended against a divisional opponent in the past. My husband and I went there last evening for a quick dinner. We were not familiar to the area and thought we would check this place out. I had the bourbon chicken with fried rice and veggies. It was Not Good, the chicken tasted like it had been scorched and the rice wasn't even fried. It had fried egg, carrots and peas added to white rice. The veggies even tasted bad. Very disappointed! My husband had the quesadilla and it was good but, it was Very Spicy!! My mouth was on fire and I normally love spicy food. Went here on a Thursday for a quick bite to eat. It is a fairly large space but there was only two other groups of people there, so basically empty. After looking over their mediocre beer selection (definitely recommend fat Tuesday's for the best selection in town), we ordered out beers and proceeded to look over the menu. I am a vegetarian and I was disappointed to see that there really was no vegetarian options, everything had bacon added to it. There wasn't even a standard veggie burger. It was basically just a menu filled with quick and easy things to make by inexperienced chefs. The wrap was not very good but the fries were ok. Our bartender was also eating dinner behind the bar which was kind of odd. Won't be going back. Sadly, I think this is another Warrenton restaurant doomed for failure. read more

Went here for the first time and I have to say that this place is pretty good and I would come back. While it's pretty good, there are some flaws. First, the music is a little loud which isn't a problem but the waitress didn't hear my order correctly. The other problem I had was the waitress never asked me for a drink refill. I had to take my lovely wife to a Baby Shower in the Warrenton Va area on a Sunday afternoon,so I needed a local "man cave type of a place" to watch the NFL games. The travel was about two hours from our home in Maryland. The Redskins were playing Monday night that week , so the crowd may have been a bit lighter than normal. The all Weekend Happy Hours prices for a 12 or 22 oz draft ( domestic) beer are great. Very inexpensive. I also ordered the Cajun Shrimp Wrap and it was really good.The fries were OK and seemed to be the frozen- fried type. Regardless, the menu looked good and I'd go back to this place without any hesitation. They had every game on multiple HD TVs and having a late afternoon Sunday lunch with some drafts made me feel right at home. read more

The food was pretty average. I asked for a salad as my side instead of fries and they brought both, even when I said I only wanted the salad, they charge me for both. Also, they advertise happy hour deals for domestic beers, but apparently don't count Virginia beers as domestic. I was always taught that a beer is either domestic or import, and a Virginia beer is clearly not an import to the USA. They told me only after presenting the check that only Bud Light and Miller light qualified. They had already messed up the check in several other ways, so I didn't bother making a big deal. You just gotta know what to get. The burgers are the most popular, partly because of the $5 deals they have going on Mondays and Tuesdays for them. They are decent and if you choose the spicy burger it is hot. ... but the burgers aren't the star of the menu. I recommend the items with the Asian marinated pork. It is marinated 24 hours in a sweet bourbon sauce that is delicious. You can get it by ordering the pork fried rice, pork burger or pork lettuce wraps. Meat candy! Can't go wrong with any of these. Also, if you sub a salad ($1 extra) for fries, they are well made with tomatoes, onions, croutons and sunflower seeds (not just lettuce). read more

After finding a very long black hair in my order of wings tonight that my husband brought home I called, the bartender answered the phone, was extremely rude, telling me she was really busy and that there is nothing she could do! (All i wanted was an offer for another order or a refund, instead got a lady telling me how she has been bartending for over 20 years, who cares! I just want food with no hair!!) Also when I described the hair she told me that the lady that works there with really long dark hair wasn't there today. One of the worst places I've eaten. I brought my family, a party of 6, our for a meal and the food was just awful. I asked for lemon in my diet coke. Nope + the soda was flat. Wings seemed like the cheapest pieces this place could find. Nothing but fatty pieces found our plate and no doubt these lived in the freezer for some time. The spiced shrimp had old bay, but once you took the shell off - not a speck on them. They were chewy and waterlogged, the fact they were obviously once frozen only complimented this disgusting dish. Our cobb salad was small and something my wife puts together for us in minutes - this fun thing was $10 alone. My daughter did not even touch the mac-n-cheese and she's not a picky eater. At least she ate the carrots from the wings. The other kids had simple meals which seemed to be a frozen burger on a bun and a spicy chicken sandwich. I like spicey - most kids don't. (know your audience). I wanted to take my family out as our kids started school. We don't make a ton of money so to give up this cash was a hard thing to do. I rarely write reviews and try to find something good to. Not in this case. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day I'm sure. Definitely, in the top 5 worse restaurants, I have ever been too. Walked in a restraunt called red zone in Warrenton, went to the bar and asked, "hi I'm here to pick up." This lady turned around and bluntly asked if I was from doordash. I replied with a yes. Next thing you know, the lady goes on a rant about how I need to do better and doordash needs to do better. So the story is that this guy had attempted to buy food with multiple attempts. But never actually paid. Simply put, he tried to get food for free. Apparently the lady did not understand. That dashers are given an order to go pick up the food from a random restraunt that is given. The customers are supposed to pay. We don't. In addition, this lady didn't seem to understand and blamed me for doordash's faults. Be a grown women and contact the actual doordash people. I just get the food and drop it off. And if you can't handle pressure, you shouldn't work there. As the lady went on a rant and I politely left after waiting twenty minutes for further information. I declined the customer as the situation wasn't resolved. Furthermore, dashers deserve more respect then what was given. If you don't understand how doordash works, ask. If you need help or question. Contact doordash, not a dasher. Hope this helped. Btw don't go to red zone. Bad service, time management, communication skills, and a decent amount of respect for fellow doordash workers. Grow up. We went for lunch today. The place was empty. That should have been a hint right there. It's empty for a reason, the food and service is terrible. We had ordered two of the regular burgers. Both were RAW. Outside was cooked and the inside was mooing. Sent both back. The same burgers came back out two minutes later, still RAW. The appetizer of "loaded potato skins" were just as bad. The potato was not cooked all the way through. It seems like microwaved potato...YUCK! No apology from the waitress and no one came over to explain or apology. I guess the owner could care less if people return which explains the empty seats. Hope he/she isn't surprised when they go out of business. If you can't cook a burger there's a problem and if you don't care about what you send out don't be surprised if no one comes back in. Turn down the awful music. Took a friend next time hoping it wasn't just me. It wasn't. The waitresses are so slow and lacking in spirit/even a smile! The next three visits spanned over a year. The only thing I even like a little is the nachos. Couple times they had chili on them. Last time they had refried beans which I normally love but not with a film over the beans that look like they have been sitting for a while then microwaved. Oh, don't get the Ice tea.
