That is well within their rights. These employees, however, never bothered to ask the paying customers which cars belonged to them, and MY car got towed while I was eating. I walked out to see my car on the flat bed truck, and with everyone yelling at the driver and me repeatedly pressing the button on my key fob to trigger the alarm beep, he refused to stop. The McDonald's manager called him back, telling him the car was towed by mistake. When he brought the car back, he wanted ME to pay $165 to take it off the truck. Now in what universe would I pay $165 for my car being towed from the spot it belonged in? The car was never supposed to be towed. I was eating in the restaurant and parked in the restaurant's parking lot. I am not paying for that. I did nothing to cause this situation. When I refused to pay, he said I could WALK to the tow place and settle it there, still expecting me to pay. So that's when the word MOTHERFUCKER came out of my mouth, with my full chest, because where does he get the nerve to ask me to pay for something that I am the victim of? He then refused to take the car down and started to drive off with it. I got the manager of the McDonald's and STOOD IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK to stop him. This fool had be barricading a semi truck with my body, HE made a mistake. The McDonald's MANAGER made a mistake. If there is $165 on the line, that's between THEM. NOT ME. He was NOT leaving there with my car, and he should have acknowledged the misunderstanding and settled up the money with McDonald's, which I hope he charged her. Because costly mistakes are less likely to be repeated- she deserves to pay for it. Anyway, get a handle on your driver's ego and tell him to take in the situation as it comes.
