Anchor stores include Macy's, Von Maur, Dick's, and Barnes and Noble. A movie theater is a walk across the large parking lot. About 21 casual restaurants sell foods and beverages. I have shopped at this mall off and on for over 10 years. I shop mostly for women's clothing, foods, and gifts. During my most recent shopping trip, I felt happy with the condition of the mall and with the selection and prices of merchandise. Overall, I think that South Hills Village is one of the best malls in the Pittsburgh area.

I enjoy many of the restaurants. Retail stores present a good number of options for clothing (e.g., Dick's Sporting Goods, LOFT, and Rally House), footwear (e.g., DSW and Shoe Fly), home goods (e.g., Costco, Lowe's, Michael's, Mattress Firm, and Petco), and health and beauty products (e.g., Bath & Body Works, GNC, and Ulta). Current entertainment includes AMC movie theater, Barnes & Noble bookstore, Dave & Buster's, Improv comedy club, Paint Monkey, and Urban Air Adventure Park. Other current businesses are a few banks, a few hotels, some cell-phone stores, a gym, and healthcare providers (e.g., dental and vision). As you can see, this shopping center has numerous options for different types of customers to eat a meal, go shopping, and be entertained. This shopping center does not contain all of my favorite stores, but I like it more than most other shopping centers in the Pittsburgh area. It is a cool trendy place and I had fun walking around and taking it all in. I looked it up and it sits on the old U.S. Steel's Homestead Steel Works plant and there are some smokestacks and other artistic elements still visible. I grabbed a coffee at Starbucks, shopped at Ultra Beauty, Target, and at Lunch Mexican restaurant. Would recommend the area.

Food businesses include Panera, McDonald's, Jersey Mike's Subs, Bruegger's Bagels, and Moe's Southwest Grill. Service businesses include UPS, Quest Diagnostics, Massage Envy, H&R Block, Brentwood Bank, and several others. In this strip mall, I shopped in a few retail stores. On a busy Saturday, the free parking lot had a sufficient number of spaces for me to park my vehicle. I could not shop for clothing, shoes, or accessories here, but I was able to purchase some hygiene products, pet supplies, wines, etcetera.

It was my birthday so I figured I'd get one. I purchased a FunFetti cupcake and video taped the robotic arm scooping up my little morsel. As I turned, low and behold, the OWNERS arrived with new trays of cupcakes to load the machine. As they eyed me for videoing their machine I said nervously.. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY SO I GOT ONE! The owners laughed and said IN THAT CASE HAVE ANOTHER ONE FOR FREE...... that's right I got two cupcakes on my birthday! Oh yea.. and the mall is nice. They're doing what they can with two rows of angled parking and a clearly marked one way route through the parking lot. Because, wow, there is NOT enough room if someone goes the wrong way. I was here for the Planet Fitness but you'll also find some fast casual restaurants including Piacquadio's, a cafe, a Hallmark shop, a large pharmacy and a number of professional offices and medical offices.
