Anchor stores include Macy's, Von Maur, Dick's, and Barnes and Noble. A movie theater is a walk across the large parking lot. About 21 casual restaurants sell foods and beverages. I have shopped at this mall off and on for over 10 years. I shop mostly for women's clothing, foods, and gifts. During my most recent shopping trip, I felt happy with the condition of the mall and with the selection and prices of merchandise. Overall, I think that South Hills Village is one of the best malls in the Pittsburgh area.

(although the way certain parking lots are divided, it can be a challenge to figure out how to get to the main exit road). The large tenants are Michaels, Ross Dress for Less and Pet Smart. There is also a Half Priced Books, a great Indian restaurant, David's Bridal, Pizza Hut, Once Upon a Child and some salon type services. As I said, a little bit of everything. There are plenty of parking spaces, although in the one corner (near where the pizza hut is) the spaces aren't right near the business. Not a huge issue because there are spots still fairly close. Just at an odd angle to how the lot is set up.

Other stores here include Ross Dress for Less, Once Upon a Child, Half-Price Books, Jared Galleria of Jewelry, David's Bridal, Treasure Hunt, etcetera. Restaurants include Mintt Indian and Pizza Hut. Service businesses include Elevation Weight Loss, Milan Laser, Success Barber Shop, Deka Lash, H&R Block, etcetera. A few storefronts are empty and are awaiting tenants. The parking lot is large and has enough spaces for customers to park. Overall, I do not expect to shop here frequently, but I enjoyed my recent visit.

There are several businesses that are in a "loop" in that there are blockages to getting onto the main "road" of the plaza. But, overall, the parking lots are well maintained and well marked. The one down side is that because it is so large, it can be hard to navigate. If you are looking for a specific business, GPS might take you to the vicinity and not the actual business.

Back in the day, this plaza had a Giant Eagle and that might be the reason it has the large amount of parking that it does. Currently, there is a Mac Bid, Dollar Tree, beauty supply, hot tub and Ashley Furniture. The lots are fairly well maintained and marked and there are two entrances. Definitely not a destination shopping center, but great for anyone wishing to visit the small amount of stores that are in it.

Overall, this shopping center is conveniently located for local residents who need particular products. I would not recommend this shopping center for people who are traveling from out of town or who need to purchase everyday necessities such as groceries and clothes.

Giant Eagle sits on the grounds of a former K-Mart. It is not an overly large store but provides for my weekly shopping needs. Directly across from it is a Getgo with a kiosk for small purchases and payments. Off to the corner is Ryan Automotive, home of Goodyear tires and car repairs. Some of the ongoing tenants include "eye guys" a vision store, Rite Aid, Gentry cleaners, Busy Beaver off to one corner, a bowling alley, three different banks, Save a lot grocery, and a great breakfast/lunch spot called Hanlon's cafe (reviewed separately). Hess Physical therapy stands in place of a former Payless shoe store. There is also a Dollar tree and a small gym called Wright's. Check out their website for complete store listing. There is plenty of parking spaces. Around the perimeter you will find Walgreen's, CVS, Crafton ice cream shop (open seasonally) and a post office. You are also close to both Crafton and Ingram Park and the adjoining West Bus way stop. There is a lot of turnover in this mall. It sometimes gets difficult to maneuver because to enter a particular store you need to walk the appropriate ramp. I like having three banks within the immediate vicinity and having convenience nearby. Since it is an old shopping center be aware of safety concerns. Hopefully the renovations once completed may attract more visitors to the community.

Cheese, the rodent that robbed and murdered the inhabitants of Showbiz Pizza Place with his gang of knock-offs. Astoundingly, it still stands and thrives.
