Just pick up body and cremation, No service, No pictures just a simple collection and service. We don't want our only son to wonder what to do, just like I faced when my father passed. We would appreciate getting this done in a timely manner. I can't believe nobody has called me back, I guess they would rather take advantage of the grief than prearranged death that contains no pressure on love ones. Maybe I should have just left a number and no message. Thank God I wasn't waiting to have them pick up someone dead.

There is also a resident albino squirrel that we've been in search of but haven't seen ourselves. Father Baker is buried here so you can see his grave. There is also a beautiful little chapel on the property. You can access this from Ridge Rd on bike/foot/scooter or by South Park via car.

Finally we get a call back from "Mike" and he's drunk at a bar yelling at us for being upset. Not professional at all. This added so much more stress on top of our grief. We flew all the way from Florida to burry my mom here. She deserved so much better. Our whole family is disappointed.

The staff have been wonderfully kind and understanding. They walked us through the process from beginning to end answering every question. They helped take care of the obituary and other necessary paperwork. They even allowed arrangements for a family member to see her early. They set up a minister to come do a short service after the viewing. The home is warm and 'cozy' and not stuffy like some places I have been. They took extra precautions with Covid related issues so that we could have the maximum people and still be within the rules. Their prices seemed very fair and they go through everything so you never feel taken advantage of with something unexpected. In this time of sorrow it was nice to feel like someone genuinely cared and had the means to actually help in this helpless situation.

They and their staff provided a comforting, personalized wake at the West Seneca location. My husband, who was a Viet Nam vet and later went on to work at and retire from VA in Buffalo, had what I'm sure he would have loved. The veteran and national honor provided was wonderful. I mentioned(and others agreed) that this was the perfect place for him to be remembered. The staff took care of everything down to the smallest detail to make this difficult time manageable and as stress free as was possible under the circumstances. They made sure every detail was done to our satisfaction and answered any questions we may have had. They offered advice and suggestions when requested, and we were unsure as to what to do but never pushed anything on us . Planning the final remembrance for a loved one is never easy but Lakeside showed compassion and professionalism throughout the entire time. I would not hesitate to recommend Lakeside in West Seneca to anyone who wants their final wishes for loved ones done perfectly. They could not have done anything better.

Mark's death was hard and Charles and the team were tentative to our needs, made us feel like family and welcomed us with open arms. As the youngest, it's hard to have to deal with loosing half of your family within 3 yrs of each other. I wish death would never happened, but Hamburg is blessed to have this funeral home to assist in your darkest hours.
