On 9/9 I went to get an oil change (I've been going for years) from Andrew. I should have known it was a bad idea to let this new guy do my oil change! Andrew was no longer there. He did my oil change. I tipped and left. My car started driving a little weird after awhile. I pay close attention to my dash and ride of my car. I went back for the guy to check and he said it was okay. Well my car started making a noise and the oil light came on. I was loosing oil and I did not have any leaks before getting the oil change. I pulled over and got oil to put in. Took it home and parked it. went back there for them to look at my car and was told I needed an oil pan gasket and oil pressure switch. $700. I almost left my car for the repair but I couldnt afford to right then. I took my car to get a second opinion. The oil was coming from the dip stick that the new guy broke at Castle. I don't not need an oil pan gasket in fact my car 2012 Malibu doesn't even have a gasket. (Its a $20 sealant kit) It didn't need an oil pressure switch at all. (A $25 item) At best parts for the repairs if I needed them was $80 They were about to charge me $700 for something I didn't need. I did need the dipstick tubing they broke. The worst part though is my timing chain plastic guide broke off from the oil being low. Keep in mind I went back there twice. They need to replace my timing chain. I will be contacting the better business bureau if they don't contact me asap to make this right. Alex is who I spoke to. DO NOT GO HERE! Worst mechanic Shop I've been to ever. No problem is ever fixed correctly and there is always another problem after I drive away that wasn't there to begin with. This has never happened to me before except at this shop. They are scam artists and the cost is more than other shops. My car made a slight noise I took it in, next day the noise was sooo loud and obnoxious. I took it in and they claimed it was another issue. I paid an additional amount and then noticed two other issues that weren't there before. Also they claimed they weren't fixing the same issue but the receipt shows otherwise. My transmission went out on my 2009 Mercedes C 300. I had explained to them that I had shield warranty, they called the warranty department, filed a claim for me,got me a new trans and put it in for me. phenomenal job five stars all the way. Whenever I have questions I call them they answer my questions to the best of their knowledge and they give me recommendations that I'm really happy with. I got an oil change with a air filter replacement. While out shopping that same day 30 minutes later my car started running crap. Called Castle Auto Center, notified them I would bring my car back because the engine light is on and wasn't before the oil change. They looked up under hood ran some diagnostics and reset filter codes. Drove car home running less crappy, engine light off. Next time I drove car was Tuesday around block, running crappier then ever, pulled up in my driveway, put car in park and it just cut off - won't start. Called Castle Auto Center, told me to get car tolled. I'm tolling the car right to dealer and will not use any of their services again. read more

Honestly if it's not the owner telling you what's the problem with your car then don't listen! Go get a second opinion! I spent 450 to get my water pump replaced! Whole time it was the Hearter Cord that needed to be replaced! A extra 1100$!!! I wish I knew that man's name so I can warn yall he did not no what was wrong with my car he was just guesses. Had me spend unnecessary money from what he thought was wrong with it. The owner found out the real issue after me coming back twice because my car was still leaking and trying to over heat as the inside of the building telling me it was my thermostat!! Didn't offer me a discount or nothing! They all have bad attitudes and horrible customer service after I've been coming to them for years as I know they can clearly see in their system! Seriously the worst place to bring your car.. I don't know how I brought it for so long.. They'll haphazardly fix your issue, purposefully mess with another part of your car so that you bring it back soon after.. And then they charge you hundreds and hundreds of dollars... I went to change my oil and as soon as I arrived the worker-and the only one- was sitting on the floor with shoes and socks off and when he saw me he had a little grim on his face indicating, at least that how I felt, that I came in a wrong time. I asked him to only change the oil in my car; I expected the advertized price and he quoted me a little more which is not the issue but when I told him that I paid less last time he directly looked at me and said "you are lying" I was really chocked for his negative remarques calling me a lier without discussing it. I became a little upset and asked "who you are calling a lier" then he backed up and picked up a steel bar which was placed ready for attacks and started swinging at me; at this moment I am still in a state of shock that this is happening to me the guy was barely 25 and I was 60, frankly he did not need a steel bar for me and I don't know why would you keep a steel bar ready for fights in a place of business. This is not the shocking story; I backed up and went toward the office to complain but before I got to it which is near the repair facility away from the oil change there was another younger guy who took boxing stance guard against me and was ready to punch me. I told him I am here to complain and not to box with anyone, at this moment the manager came out and I am still expecting someone prudent and mature to deal with this issue but unfortunately, the manager was worse and simply told me to leave without questioning his guys. Prior to this, I have always changed the oil on all of my cars because there was a nice courteous older man working there treating customers fairly but this younger worker and manager are causing the owner to lose lots of business. I like this shop, on the repair side I have had nothing but good dealings, one time I came to the place, saw my car parked outside, went inside my car with out checking in, and discovered that the handle for my hood release was broken off inside the car. I didn't say anything about it, because I was curious how they would handle the situation. When I visited the counter, they gave me a summary, and also said, "We got you a new hood release free of charge along with the cable, part just came in". They will show old parts also if you ask. I wish the guy at counter was a little bit more friendly, but aside from that good people. The oil change side is another story, they keep telling my wife she needs her transmission fluid flushed even though it doesn't need that lol. There prices are about 15%-20% higher then your mobile mechanic freelancer, but hey you get what you pay for. Updated, not sure if the oil change mechanic are the same thing. read more

Went there once to get my tire changed and the guy was fairly nice. After seeing the way the owner was talking to/treating another customer, don't think I'd ever go there again. Need to work on better customer service skills and doing what the customer wants. read more

Beware this place put the same oil and everybody's car recycled oil they only have one working gun and they fill out their Mobile 1 jugs up with regular oil my husband worked there for a week and the owner Sam did not pay him Americans don't work for free read more

I agree with Mike's review. Brought my car in time after time to find i out after years, bringing my car to someone else one time, they fixed the problem and that was it. No coming back over and over again for an issue. Also beware of sticky fingers there, left my car over for a few days only to discover that my expensive shades were gone. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

after leaving my car over night to be fixed, I pickup my car and I paid my invoice in full, started acting up with same issues, I had to stop to nears shop where they put it on the computer and it was the same job that CASTLE to change or they did change as I was told...., nothing was changed...., make sure you get your old part as its the law in Michigan and they don't know half of it ........ read more

Went to get my oil changed a month ago and yesterday my check engine light comes on saying my oil needed to be changed, when I initially got my oil changed I thought something fishy was going on because the guy clearly saw I am a girl and it took him literally two minutes to "change my oil" I kept the receipt because I knew something was up when my oil light came on I honestly wasn't surprised I took my car to big rays oil change on Oakman and ford road (highly recommend) they normally do my oil changed and don't try to scam me because I'm a girl, he took one look at my oil and said its completely empty there is no way you had your oil changed a month ago because you don't have a leak and there's no way ur oil would be that low!
