As someone who has spent a lot of time and money on dresses and event outfits - do not ever come to this location. The people who work at this store are so disrespectful. If I was a business owner and I knew my employees spoke to our customers the way these people have spoke to me and my family I would be LIVID. I had paid for an expensive dress and paid for expedited shipping and 4 weeks after the dress was suppose to be delivered my dress was still missing. Our appointment was the Celebration Package which was lovely. The stylist was knowledgeable. However the bride wanted to try on different styles and stylist said she needs to focus on one which totally opposite of why we were dress shopping to begin with. The appointment was supposed to be N hour and a half, and with 25 minutes left the stylist Brought 2 more dresses one of which was the completely wrong neck line. So with 15 minutes left the bride was dressed and we left. We also asked for a halter neckline and the stylist said the didn't have any! Then brought one and said it was the only one! I can't say enough positive things about my experience shopping with Angela! She saw one inspiration photo and picked a perfect dress for me. She knew exactly what I was looking for and was not pushy in trying to get me to purchase it -- I came back 3 weeks after my initial appointment to get the dress and she was so lovely and happy to see me back. Perhaps the owner, Marc, that responded to my review misunderstood. Our max was not $1000, it was $2500-3000 for dress and then whatever the alterations would cost would be extra. The dresses we were shown did NOT have pricing. There were no tags on the dresses at all. When we asked the stylist stated: " Don't worry, Everything is in your price range" We had to ask at then end of the visit how much the dress was and that is when we found out the dress was $4000. Sophia was all smiles & willing to help, also very friendly & went above & beyond to be helpful! Greatly appreciated her. The bad: I went here with my daughter to shop for prom dresses & was quite shocked that all of the dresses she tried on had a defect! We tried on quite a few & the issues are easily spotted. I was told every dress had a defect hence the 30% off "sale". EVERY dress had missing stones, missing beads, rips, punctures! It was unbelievable to me that the prices were rather high with all of the issues! I did not find 30% off a "$600" prom dress for example, to be sufficient to the amount of defects found in the dresses! My daughter tried on 2 dresses that were the same size & style, just a different color BUT they both fit her very different. I was not going to buy a dress for prom that cost hundreds, full of defects, AND in need of alterations! What's the point? I didn't really notice anyone purchasing. For such a large, gorgeous looking place, I hoped we would find some knock out, amazing unique pieces. Angela was amazing! I went to another store & fell in love with a dress. But it was my first appointment so I knew I wanted to come to castle couture since it was highly recommended just incase.. I tried on beautiful gowns at castle but my heart was still stuck on the gown I tried on at the other store. Angela advised they actually had the dress here and gave me a great deal. (Better then the other store) I was also nervous because I was on a time crunch. The other store couldn't give me a rush delivery but Angela said they could do it for me. Amy listened to everything I dreamed of in a wedding dress and she provided multiple options. I came in with an open mindset and Amy just knew what would look best. BUYER BEWARE - RIP OFF ALERT!!! I'm absolutely disgusted by this place. I purchased a dress here for almost 4K and found the SAME EXACT DRESS brand new online on several websites for $1000-$1400! Overcharging for a dress by this much it's not only unethical, but borderline abusive. It now makes sense why they have signs all over that say "no returns". They have you sign and initial a long document to make sure they're clients are royally screwed and stuck with their purchase indefinitely. I came specifically to try on gowns from Blanche bridal. I am a US dress size 12 (bridal size 14-16) and in this brand I fit into a dress size 18 - and they only had 2 dresses out of the brands selection that fit me. Most of the Blanche dresses were a sample size 12 which was extremely small. I think it would be beneficial to carry larger sizes especially if the brand runs so small. I found the selection of dresses here in my size to be much more limited - and I am not considered plus size. I wasn't able to try on a lot of the dresses I saw in the salon. I'd suggest you call prior to your appointment to confirm dress sizes that are available. A standard sample size 12 is not the same in every designer. read more

I came here to sell some old jewelry and see if they had a look book of custom engagement rings they have done. A lady greeted me but her demeanor changed as soon as I said I wanted to sell jewelry that day, instead of buy. They needed 3 people to verify if the gold was real, as she didn't seem to know how to do it by sight. She scratched up all of the rings, using a solution to test it, while another man, who may have been her superior, did everything by sight. The unfriendliness and the lack of experience will not have me doing business with them again. read more

My experience at Castle Couture was lovely! I went in on a Saturday morning with my mom, sister, godmother, and cousin. Samantha was very warm and helpful from beginning to end, and also super efficient. The hour and a half flew by and I tried on maybe eight dresses (but ultimately said "yes" to the second one I tried!). Samantha listened to my preferences and my wishlist to pull gorgeous dresses, and thoroughly explained her reasoning behind the choices (which I really loved). Because of her insight I ended up realizing the style I prefer on me was totally different than I had imagined walking into CC! I am a bit shy but felt really heard/seen at my appointment. First off the dresses they have online are not available in the store. Drove my mother an hour to get a mother of the bride dress for my wedding. My mother chose a dress and when we went for alterations we were quoted $600 !!!!! For alterations ! The dress was $600. After being pinned up and marked by seamstress , not only did we feel trapped , but we were told that because the dress was beaded that's why it was so costly. Even though my mother was not in a position to pay the $600 she did. The day of my wedding the dress was basically falling apart. My bridal staff had to cut the hanging strings and we had to pin the dress where it had opened . My mother decided to do the right thing and reach out to the store and was advised to send pictures, which she did. In the end, instead of any form of reimbursement, my mother was told by Marc , that they would fix the dress! Who needs the dress fixed now? The alterations were awful. Instead of cutting the dress where it needed to be made smaller and then re beaded , like We were told, the dress was tucked and rolled Under leaving bulky areas. The hem Was Completely undone . The arms did not lay right and the side seam opened. Not sure how that was $600 worth of work. Obviously , this place will not do anything to compensate for their lack of professional work. I would advise against using this business , but would definitely stay away from Alterations and their terrible work and ridiculous cost. read more

I scheduled an appointment with Castle Couture hoping I would say yes to the dress and I did! I'm from Brooklyn and had tried on 20+ dresses prior to visiting. Upon entering, the girl by the computer greeted me cheerfully and congratulated me on my engagement. The main floor is beautiful, everything is so shiny! I checked in and waited for my bridal consultant. Brooke, my bridal consultant, also greeted me in a positive manner which made me more excited. I showed her pictures of styles I liked from their website and talked about what I was looking for since my wedding is a destination wedding. She took my guests (4 are allowed) and I up the lovely spiral staircase and brought me to my fancy dressing room. Brooke picked such nice dresses for me to try on. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I wish I could take her to Puerto Rico with me! I ended up choosing the first dress I tried on, every other dress I tried on after made me want to put the first dress back on. Brooke had me walk down the "aisle" and described a beautiful day in Puerto Rico as I walked down which made it very easy for me to say YES to the dress! I'm excited to pick my dress up in September. Side note - NJ does not charge tax on dresses which is a big plus! My guests and I celebrated by drinking mimosas and eating cookies that Castle Couture provides for their customers! We went to Castle Couture at the end of March in search of my daughter's senior prom dress. Last week we realized that there was an issue with the dress. I emailed regarding the issue looking to see if they had any solution options for us. Marc immediately responded letting me know we were able to come in the next day to access the issue and he would also hold the same dress and size for us just in case nothing could be done with the dress we already had. When we arrived the next day, Jen, from the alterations team, was already waiting for us and was extremely helpful. She told my daughter she would not let her leave unless she was absolutely happy. Both Marc and Jen were amazing!!! They were both very professional and apologetic that we had to come back in with the dress. In the end, we left with a new dress (same style, color and size!) and Marc went even further and gave us a discount! To say the least we were happy and beyond satisfied. The buying experience at Castle Couture is a deceiving experience- be warned about picking up your dress. I ordered an Eve of Milady gown following a trunk show back in April 2022. The dress was supposed to have been here in January 2023. Once the end of January came and passed, I called Castle, who didn't even call me, asking where my dress was. They said it will be in in February. Okay, I wait till February. February comes and goes. I call, yet again. This time, I guess they now had a record of me calling simply inquiring about where my dress was (mind you it's paid fully upfront and you can't track it) and the woman on the line tells me that I need to relax that my day is far away and that the dress will be in in March. Clearly, that was unacceptable coming from customer service who should be more courteous to a bride who has dished out thousands up front for a dress. Finally I get the call in March, and they were booked solid for weekend appointments until mid April. I take that first appointment and man, I didn't think it could get worse with these people. When I arrived for my first fitting on April 16th, I was led into the fitting room where the dress was hanging on the hanger and the employee just said, okay, get into it. Now the dress I bought is a ball gown and after all the fuss they made about the appointment times, I surely figured someone would be helping in the fitting rooms which was why they'd need more time. Nope. My sister comes into the fitting room in disbelief with me. As we start to pull up the dress, we immediately notice that the dress was not coming close to fitting me. At this point, I'm now standing there feeling absolutely horrendous about myself and my sister walks outside to get someone's attention. Immediately, the employee who walked us over to the room tried to get me in the dress, but that clearly was going nowhere. She called Colleen Dolles, a manager over. Colleen immediately started hovering over me and made a condescending comment about how she needed to walk over to the bridal department to get clips, something she never had that do. She comes back, clips me up, and then says, let's let your family see you. Mind you, I had yet to even see myself in the dress but her concern was everyone else in that moment. She called one of the alterations women over and they both start poking and prodding me, pointing out how they can fix the situation. Suddenly, I felt an itch from the tag on my left side. Low and behold- I pull out the tags and there's white out over the size and my "size" written on top in blue ink. The size below the white out was two sizes smaller than the one I had ordered. My sister scratched it all off like a lottery scratch off. She immediately stormed over to the desk where all the employees were, and the employees were laughing at the situation. Colleen came over and even began to cry saying that it wasn't Castle Couture's fault, meanwhile, they let a bride get into a SHADY situation like that with quite frankly one of their most expensive gowns. I was in shock. She told me that Eve of Milady would be calling to address the situation (whole other ordeal- cannot believe their customer service either and how they are) but basically the fix was Eve was going to add a custom corset back to the gown and resend the gown back by August...remember the dress was supposed to have been in in January. I lost it in all of them. Turns out the gown came in in May- the corset back was fine, but the boning on the dress is all poking out, and the cups on the dress don't come anywhere near fitting me. So yesterday I took my dress for my first fitting to another alterations shop- the woman literally has to deconstruct the bra and all the design work at the top to make it fit properly, meaning Castle Couture never took my measurements properly and even when Eve of Milady claimed to rectify the situation, they still didn't. It's costing me thousands to fix this mess! I took my dress out of there due to the sheer OBSURDITY that is Castle Couture. I will be speaking to an attorney. read more

I drove over an hour to get here. My daughter read a lot of good reviews on the web and wanted to come here for her junior prom dress. You go upstairs, put your information in a computer and ten minutes later a sales consultant comes out for you. There is a separate huge room full of prom dresses all divided into first sizes and then the colors and styles. Our consultant was so helpful and accommodating. She brought over 5 dresses and even had the exact dress my daughter was looking for. 1 hour later, we walked out of there with the perfect dress. The quality of the dresses here are very high, so expect to pay higher than say David's Bridal, which offers very cheap looking dresses with very bad quality and no customer service. A family member had a bad experience about special order. Finally after mandatory unsuccessful attempts to get an answer about gown not delivered. She had paid extra for expedited which failed. I accompanied my friend to her bridal fitting for the first time, and I have to say that the staff made the experience so much fun! Kristen was super attentive, friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about all the dress options for the bride-to-be. Her and Maddy listened to what the bride wanted in her dress and allowed her to try on all the different options-- both within the boundaries of the dress my friend wanted and ones that were more adventurous. All the dresses were gorgeous, and Castle Couture also offered different veils, tiaras, and other accessories to match the dress. Kristen was transparent about pricing and timeline for reserving the dresses (it can easily take a year for some dress styles to be prepared if a bride says yes to the dress) as well. The showroom was also very clean and well arranged that one can practice walking down the aisle to see what the dress looks like with the train. There was no pressure to give an immediate answer to choosing a wedding dress either. Overall, a bridal fitting can be a mentally and physically taxing experience, both for the bride and for the accompanying guests, but we all had a really great time thanks to the Castle Couture team. read more

You walk in and there is jewelry to the right, we went to the front desk and my friend let them know we had an appointment and they send us upstairs to meet the personal shopper. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes before she greeted us an walked us through some double doors to where they have all the bridal gowns. I took a sit while my friend and her went over what type of gowns she wanted to try on. They have a lot of selections, from many designers and many price points. Extremely disappointed. I purchased my wedding gown in November 2019 from here and up until today I would have said 5/5 . Unfortunately today that changed, I wouldn't even give them one star. I went for my first gown fitting and it was horrible from start to finish! Jess brought me to my fitting room and basically dropped me off, barely helped me get into my gown and left and never returned. I was unattended to for about 15-20 minutes until Elaina finally came to my rescue, she assisted me with accessories and was the only positive part of my experience today. Upon check out I was told that I had to take my gown with me today (my wedding is not until 9/30/21 due to Covid). I explained that I spoke with Michelle, back in July who told me as long as I paid my balance, I could keep my dress there. They said I could, as long as I pay $100 a month. I understand that our world is forever changing due to Covid but they should have notified me of this "policy change". I came prepared today to pay my balance, not take my gown home. The UNPLEASANT manager was rolling her eyes, unapologetic and told me "well we can't call all of our brides, that would just be too much, we have soooo many." I quickly realized that my experience last November when PURCHASING MY gown was polar opposite to my experience today because they already had my money, they stopped caring about customer service!! It is clear to me that Castle Couture is a well oiled machine, once they receive your deposit the fantastic customer service you once loved about them is gone out the window. They are like a factory, producing wedding gowns with minimal effort, heart or soul. I went from ranting and raving about them last year to feeling SO disheartened and upset today. As if postponing my wedding due to Covid wasn't difficult enough. There was NO personal connection, attention to detail or even a bit of assistance adjusting/pinning my dress to view it the way I had imagined! I am absolutely disgusted and do NOT recommend Castle Couture. I paid my balance, took my gown and will find alterations else where. The staff at CC should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I would just like to say this is the absolute worst shopping experience I have ever had. When I tell you the SERVICE and the CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS are the rudest people in the world. I am not a super mean person and I don't get mad easily, someone would have to do something really wrong to get me ticked off but oh boy was this one of those moments. To start off I walked in 15 minutes early to my appointment which in my family early is on time. They MADE FUN OF ME because I decided to let them know im here and to not rush but whenever they're ready I am too. Eventually I got into a dressing room after my husband had to calm me down and told me to remember that Im here to have fun and find a nice dress. Before I go any further I would like to say I am a bigger woman, I can full on say to anyone that yes I am a little bigger than a regular girl and I like to EAT! So coming from that I knew it was going to be hard to find a dress that fit me. I told them my size and I kid you not the lady's helping me laughed in my face. Without any of their help I found a dress and ordered my dress expecting it to come 2 months after which is already crazy after I just payed 400$ EXTRA to get my dress faster. 2 months go by nothing, no call, no text, no email and not even a remind that goes "hey we are working on getting this dress to you and im so sorry its taking so long". Nope, none of that at all. So I do what any sane person would do and I call. HA if you woulda thought at least the service on the phone was nice you would have thought WRONG. They begin to tell me that the manager is not in that day and will call me when they call back, I didn't mind so i waited the next day when they told me I would get a call. Nothing. So i call again and begin to explain that I need this dress and that they have already lied about the dresses arrival time. You will be seeing my lawyers for fraud for taking my money and not giving me my services in the time you have told me. I bought a gown. I do not like. It was a Jovani. I am very upset. I acted Iike I like the dress at my final fitting, but I didn't. It is too long on me, and I can't stand sewn in cups. I'm so upset.
