He determined that we needed to replace the blower motor and capacitor. He had both parts his truck and installed them while he was there. The whole repair only took a couple of hours. He also came by a couple days later to replace a broken piece of duct that he'd noticed while he was fixing the air handler! Eric was very friendly and professional and proud of his work. Obviously nobody wants to have to call an HVAC repair company, but if you do, I highly recommend Dave & Kelly's.

I figured it needed to be replaced, but the tech did some maintenance to it and fixed it. I asked how much it would cost to replace it and he said it depends on many different factors of what you want and need but right now it's running good now. So, why replace it if it's running well? I agreed. When the A/C does go out, I'll get hold of United and have them come out and give me a bid for a new one along with a couple other companies. I was told United offered financing too which was nice to know. I have recommended United before and will continue to because the job got done quickly and professionally and done right the first time and that old A/C is still running well.

We have tried to use them over the past few years and have not been happy with the results. Last time we contacted them, Brad sent a Tech that had no idea how to work on our type of HVAC. We have never been contacted to ask if we could get someone else or did Brad send another Tech, NO HE DID NOT!!! I think he needs to learn what customer service truly is and I wish for Fred Wiliams that Brad would change the name of the company. I wouldn't want my name on his company. He was polite, thorough, complimentary of his work crew and gave me a written estimate before he left - it took maybe 30-40 minutes. I liked that he didn't try to MANsplain things to me, or give me a bunch of useless info (like the other 2 reps from competing companies did). I finally received the other 2 estimates within a couple days and Fred Williams and Son was the most affordable, even with a HIGHER rated unit. We made arrangements to do the work on a Wednesday. Brad called me back and said the unit he quoted was on back order. I could wait, or upgrade to a more costly unit. I was immediately skeptical, because I am a single woman and have been given ridiculous quotes on everything from deck repair to new windows, plus I'm a buyer and contract negotiator by day, so I tend to think that salesmen are slippery and things are usually too good to be true. However, the upgraded unit met the criteria for an Energy Rebate from the utility company, so I would actually be paying LESS than the first unit he quoted. I asked for it in writing, to which Brad responded via text that they would honor the rebate. They showed up on time. Completed the work without issue. Clean cut, nice, respectable crew. My home is nice and cool. I got the rebate from Evergy. 10 year parts and labor warranty. I couldn't be happier. It was a pleasant experience.
