If you graduated from Punahou or Harvard, is the education you received better than a degree from Moanalua High School or the University of Hawaii? Something to think about... Anyway...the point is that I was TOTALLY IMPRESSED with the professionalism and courtesy of the staff at Windward Health Center. From the receptionists and record-keepers to the housekeepers and nurses... Each employee did their job flawlessly! The flow of clients and paperwork was ultra smooth and efficient. The logistics were well thought out! Each clipboard had a pen and appropriate forms; coolers were filled with chilled bottles of water; chairs in the waiting area were socially distanced; each injection station was equipped with necessary items; parking lot and exit signs were clear and visible; the facility was clean, open-air, and made use of its natural tropical setting. In this time of uncertainty and anxiety, the staff made my experience super special. Prime example: After receiving the vaccination, each client is given a sticker. I asked, "Is it a Happy Face sticker (because we survived this ordeal)?" Nurse: "No - it's just a sticker with the time that you may leave." I must have had such a disappointed look because she drew a happy face next to my departure time! Haha! Thank you so much! See you again next month for the second dose of Moderna Vaccine!

Very organized and efficient but the only downside was only 2 nurses giving the shot. Yes it was the one shot J&J so I'm glad do t have to worry about getting a second shot I was 5th in line but behind me there was about 15 more customers waiting and more gradually arriving. Social distancing is practice sign well marked and it ran very smoothly. After my vaccination there was a tent where you need to wait for 15 minutes before they release you. There was a person who was passing out bottle water and Gatorade. So far so good no symptoms yet so if you do not see any postings from me that means I had a relapse nah lol. I was sent home without adequate evaluation or follow-up instructions. Unfortunately, my symptoms worsened, and just two days later I had to go to the ER, where I received the care and attention I needed. This delay could have been avoided with more thorough attention during my urgent care visit. I understand urgent care can be busy, but patients deserve to be taken seriously -- especially when they're seeking help for real issues. I hope the team uses this as an opportunity to improve listening, diagnostic diligence, and patient communication. I will not be returning to this location and would caution others to consider all options carefully when symptoms feel significant

Many stayed because they like the Hawaii lifestyle but they know nothing about Aloha. I will never go back there again unless I am unconscious. I don't like hospitals and get anxious when I have to go, and they were so rude to me they turned it into a full blown panic attack. I tried to leave and they physically restrained me after I said these words "You do not have permission to touch my body." They violated my space in a big way, and that is illegal. You don't have a right to hold a patient down who does not want to be touched. I was already out the door at that point. You're lucky you didn't get sued. Then when I was sitting on a bench waiting for my husband, and meditating to calm myself down, they threatened to call security and HPD to remove me. I'm thinking go ahead, maybe they will give me a ride. Then they did send a humongous security guard who told me I was trespassing on private property and had to leave right that moment. WTF? I'm a little old lady who didn't want to be manhandled either. He was my son's age and was polite and just doing the job they told him to do. I don't blame him. It was those nurses that caused the whole incident from beginning to end. None of them could seem to realize that all I was ever trying to do was leave peacefully. I was in the ER for a reason. Did they expect me to walk home? This was all kinds of wrong. Castle has gone way downhill. P.S. There were witnesses.

It's smaller that big brothers Queens, Straub or Kaiser but from what I've heard, people appreciate the service they were provided. Clean, pretty easy to maneuver, as you enter the main doors, a dedicated information desk manned by dedicated volunteers can help you get to where you need to go. But of course on a visit I focused on the dining options and I have to say the food was pretty good, just a simple scrambled eggs, rice and corned beef hash (canned) and a taste of their fried rice. All enough to satisfy a mornings craving for sure. Not spectacular, but satisfying. Service, like the rest of the hospital seems to be friendly, helpful and efficient. It shows in the way the employees interact with each other. Normally one does not specifically target to visit a hospital for their cafeteria offerings. This is not the case either. But if you are at this hospital on business and are hungry or thirsty, their cafeteria called the Bistro is definitely a resonable option.

When I followed up, the receptionist told me I could just walk in for labs and she'd follow up on the referral. That turned into 3 separate trips due to an insurance error--Dr. Miscovich's office had sent over my dental insurance. I had to go back and forth between offices just to get basic labs completed. Still no word on the GI consult. Two months later, I messaged through their portal asking about my lab results. The response: "If you have any questions please call and schedule a lab follow up visit over the phone or in person." No explanation, no summary--that was it. As for the GI consult? After leaving multiple voicemails and hearing nothing, I called the GI office directly. They told me they had rejected the referral 6 months ago due to the same insurance error. I left another message with Dr. Miscovich's office... and then another - no response. Finally, I left 1 last message : "Ok, you win. I give up." Hopefully I'm not dying, but I can't count on this doctor to let me know either way.

I had to get seen for an…read moreingrown toe nail and I couldn't get it surgically removed at the time so she insisted on a cold numbing spray and getting only part of the nail removed. It was painless! And my toe was good! For my second visit I got seen by Dr. Anderson to get the ingrown toenail permanently removed. And thankfully I was able to see them ASAP. I called early in the morning and they were able to schedule me to come in at 3:30pm on the same day! For the procedure I was really anxious at first, because I am not very good with needles, but he was very understanding and patient! He told me to relax and not to worry! We then proceeded to the procedure, which only took 30 minutes and it was super painless! In the end they gave me a sheet on how to take care of my toe! Also, after a week of care you have to do a follow up by either video chatting or coming in person to see how the toe is doing! Overall, I would recommend coming here, staff is really sweet and doctors are super nice too! I live 30 minutes away from the clinic, but it was worth the drive!

We schedule a new appt for April 28 at 3:30pm. Wendy says if something opens up she will notify. March 31, 2026 Wendy calls& says an opening is available on April 8, but we have to confirm! I call to confirm, April 1, Wendy, but Belinda in the main Kaiser appointment center, goes above & beyond to reach Wendy as nothing is scheduled for mom. Wendy is gone for the day & is to call me on April 2. I call & early in the am& Le Ann says no Appt is made for mom. I keep my original appt. & hope to hear from Wendy from the Kailua office. No call all day!! What a major mess the Kaiser Appointment Center has as well as Kailua Clinic . This is terrible customer service, starting at the top! Poor training & communication with patients. I ended up running late because of a rain storm that slowed traffic coming from the Pali. When I arrived there the parking lot had many parking spaces. I found a good spot, parked then I walked right in. The cashier and registration desk is easy to find in the center of everything. I was immediately greeted upon entering. The line was short and moved quickly. Although I was a little late they checked me in and the Doctor was able to see me a few minutes after I arrived. Dr. Onizuka was friendly and took his time allowing me to ask questions and do a thorough exam. The girls at the front desk were pleasant and had that spirit of aloha. The facility was clean and the noise was appropriate for a doctors office. Overall I had an excellent experience. I will make more of my appointments here in the future.
