We were also having them replace a skylight over our addition. The skylight had leaked off an on since it was installed 20 years ago. It had been looked at by several companies over the years and no one could provide a solution . The skylight replacement was a problem because they could not find a replacement to fit the measurements. The guys came out several times. A couple of days ago, Elmer came out and spent some time making noise on the roof. When he finished, he said that the skylight would not leak anymore and that there was NO CHARGE for all the work they had done. As it turns out, the skylight had been installed incorrectly which is why the measurements were off. Elmer took it apart, figured out the problem and reinstalled it the right way. I repeat, NO CHARGE, event though we agreed to pay over $1,000 for a new skylight. He said he wouldn't do a job that was not needed. Yesterday we had a torrential rain and there were no leaks! I asked Elmer if he was the boss and he answered modestly that he was a "team member." In fact, he is the owner of Egama. Egama is an excellent, reasonably priced roofing company. Most important it is run with honesty and integrity!

He provided so much detail, I wish I had an estimate with him first so that I would have known what to ask the other companies! He made the process very simple, although our city is known to be difficult getting permits, he took care of all that. The roof was replaced in ONE day and the team did a phenomenal job cleaning up - I've yet to find a stray nail! (having replaced a roof on a previous home, I can attest that stray nails pop up, so I'm truly amazed I haven't found any yet). A few years later we rehired Premier to replace the roof shingles on the front side of our house, and again the job was done to our satisfaction and looks great. He and his crew are dependable, courteous and professional. While working across the street recently, as a favor to us, took the time to fix damaged drip edging on our home. Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. We initially hired them to repair/ replace the trim on our 21 windows. They were the only company willing to repair what we had, the other quotes said they would repair but then cover everything with PVC and a knowledgeable friend told us that works only if you truly trust that nothing is rotten underneath. And we knew we had a lot of rotten pieces. Their work was precise and their knowledge produced top notch results. We then asked them to replace the garage trim. When they took off the garage trim face boards, they immediately contacted us to show us how rotten the structural posts were. Instead of just taking the easy way and covering up the problem (we would never have known about it), they asked us if we wanted them to replace the inside beams first and then put the face board trim. We could see their true carpentry workmanship. We had the same awesome experience with our deck. We initially asked them to replace the top hand rail all around our deck that we could see had rotted. They then showed and explained to us that the contractor who built our deck didn't properly anchor the supporting columns. We had never noticed this because we barely used our deck, but after seeing how it easily rocked back and forth we wanted the extra support. They did not try and upsell us, they truly cared about the end result, took pride in their work, and would have done whatever we wanted, it was always our choice without any pressure.
