You just pull your car or truck up to one of the several bays, hand over the keys and then go wait inside in a nice clean air conditioned or heated waiting room. It all depends on the time of year. They have FREE Hot coffee or tea, clean bathrooms and flat screen for viewing while you wait. The staff is very professional and courteous...... Once you use them they put you into their system. You don't even have to give them your name. They can get info based on your license plate. When finished you receive a detailed printout of exactly what they did and any recommendations they might suggest to get to make your car/ truck run smoother..They are very low key and not at all pushy like some other establishments.When they are done, your vehicle is pulled up directly in front of the shop. Owner Rob is a scumbag and rude. Would not honor Groupon, demanded almost double the cost of the Groupon to do the oil change. You can see many other reviews with the same experience. Also told me there was a leak which dealership said was not true. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be overcharged or lied to. read more

I wanted to get my transmission oil changed, I had a conversation with Rob and after I explained my unique situation he suggested I take it to Aamco instead, that was fine. My beef is when I came back a month later he wouldn't even talk to me. Literally, he sent his employee out to tell me he wouldn't help me. Paid for a conventional oil change on Groupon. As soon as I pull in and show the guy the voucher he asked me what year my car was. I said 2019. He proceeded to tell me the manufacturer recommends full synthetic without even knowing how many miles are on the car. I asked him if he would just do the conventional oil change. He declined and said he can't because of the manufacture recommendations. Forget the fact that I own the car and not the manufacture. As I'm pulling out after he tried to upsell me $80 more he says I'm trying to save you a 15k headache. I left, went to advance, bought full synthetic and an oil filter and did the oil change myself for $10 less than the Groupon price for a conventional oil change. As terrible as a customer experience I had I have to thank the guy for saving me $15090 by doing it myself and not falling for their scam. Do yourself a favor and steer well clear of this place. The manager tricked me twice when I tried to redeem Groupon voucher. I bought synthetic blend oil change for Honda pilot from Groupon. Manager said they no longer carried the blend type and have to upgrade to premium. I tried not to believe the negative review and give a try. I asked the manager when the synthetic blend will be available so I can come back for that. The guy said it will probably be available in a few years ! Never trust that business any more. read more

Scam. Bought a full synthetic oil change on Groupon. Checked online that it matched my cars oil. Got to the location & the guys told me I needed a "special, high performance oil & filter & that it would cost another $50+". So my new car has been smoking a bit after long trips. Nasty burning smell. Took it to the dealer, there was oil caked all over the engine and other parts of the car. They actually took me into the garage and showed me, it was horrible. Castrol changed my oil back in July. I get that accidents happen, but spilling oil all over my engine and not saying a damn thing about it is unacceptable. Had the pay the dealer 150.00 to clean Castrol's mistake. 100% deceptive bait and switch. I went today for my synthetic oil change @ the Green Brook, NJ Castrol oil change location. After my car is in the bay and they begin the oil change the employee tells me some other synthetic Canadian Brand oil is the standard synthetic oil the offer on the Groupon special. He goes on to tell me it's a $10 upcharge for Castrol Edge synthetic oil. I went for an oil change and ended up paying $315.64. They completely sabotaged my car. They did not put anything back the way it was so my oil completely leak out for 2 month and I did not have a clue until my car was no accelerating anymore. I was able to make it to the nearest mechanic which is my father's mechanic and when the lifted my car up we saw oil everywhere!!! My car still smells like oil after cleaning what we could. It's a terrible smell! It's cold and when I turn my heat on the smell gets worse. My car is a 2015 and has no more than 59,000 miles and they almost left me without it. If we didn't catch it when we did, my engine would have failed. Im extremely upset because that day (12/5/20) I waited about 2 hrs! And they did the worst job. I never had a problem with them until now. I will never go back and I definitely do not recommend. read more

The guy I guess he is the owner or the manager. Has the personality of a shoe. He will try to nickel and dime you for every single thing. They do a decent job. They change your oil they don't break anything which I guess what is expected. He's not a fan of the discounts they give you online and that's where they try to tack on everything and anything that they could. I've been frequenting this express oil change for years. They had a great staff until now. This was the worst experience I've ever had regarding a car. They charged for top dollar synthetic oil without giving any options, claimed I needed every filter changed, fine I bought it all. Extra antifreeze needed, okay to that too. The last straw was that they claim to have checked out my car with "wipers" on the top of the printed list. My driver side wiper shredded right before I got there, no missing it but they missed it. Pulled over on a Sunday afternoon when they were empty and parked in the parking spot for a minute. A man in the shop actually yelled at us that our car would be towed when we were there for less than 3 minutes. He literally screamed across the parking lot at us. Terrible customer service, rude employees,will never be back. This place was great. I used to religiously go to jiffy lube, but after going to castrol, I'm going to be a regular. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and every tenth oil change is free! So my mom goes in with her 12 off coupon from Valpak and the service manager ROB tells her she has to get her 2016 Nissan Rogue oil changed with synthetic oil due to Ow-20 being her oil type which only comes in synthetic. Mom calls me because she's 60+ years old and doesn't have a clue what he's saying. I ask to speak to the guy to ask questions to gain clarity and it doesn't sound correct to me either so I refuse said oil change to check into his claims. He immediately hands the phone back to my mom and says verbatim "Well you're not getting an oil change today. You can get out. Oh and your antifreeze cap is missing." Of course, I'm pissed that somebody is speaking to my mother in this manner but nothing to do but to get to the bottom of what he's claiming. I call Route 22 Nissan to confirm what oil has been put into the vehicle since this is where I normally bring it. I tell them what Rob told me and the guy on the phone knew exactly where I had been and who I had been dealing with. Apparently this guy, Rob, does this to everyone. He then explains to me that 0w-20 is the manufacturer's recommendation but not the requirement nor has this car ever gotten synthetic oil before. Back to Nissan we go. I will upgrade to synthetic oil when ready, thanks but I definitely won't be pressured into it. Was a regular customer. Complained about the last service and experience and received a call from the owner of this location. He apologized and he thanked me for bringing it to his attention because as a business owner, his goal is to provide exceptional service. Since my experience was not a good one, he said he was placing some coupons in the mail to use for future visits. That was several weeks ago & have yet to receive anything from them. I have been taking my 2013 mercedes at this place for few years now. The prices keep going up but the service has been quick as they are supposed to. But, i feel that i am getting the best synthetic oil brand "Castrol" but the oil filter they are using is ridiculous. They put some cheap knock off made in china brand in my mercedes. When i question, i was told its all made in china including mercedes and bosch filters. so makes no difference. Are you serious? Would he drive made in china car over a german car? go be my guest! I think its all about being able to maximize their profit, charge top dollar to the customer and give them the cheapest quality parts. I doubt i will ever go back. And, yes if the business owner has some decency, he should refund my money immediately. And please start carrying quality filters like bosch or something Japanese. Stay away from chinese knock offs.
